The dragons aren't even out yet and I'm still fantasizing about flying into battle mounted on my dragon at the head of a flock of armored hippogryphs in a V formation. From what's been said it looks like they're going to be like something between a wolf and an equine. It'll follow and protect/ attack like a wolf and it can be mounted, armored and chested, like horses, donkeys and mules. If you don't have a saddle you can still use it just like a wolf. I think I might be looking forward to the hippogryphs as much as the pet dragons.
Will we be able to enchant pet armor? Another thought, and maybe it's a stupid one, but will we be able to craft hippogryph armor or will they use horse armor? Hippogryphs being so much larger than horses. Because if we have to craft hippogryph armor then will we be able to craft their armor out of dragon parts? Like the player dragon armor.

Dragon armor works the same as horse armor, however its crafted out of blocks(Iron blocks, diamond blocks, etc). I believe that it's unenchantable and hypogriffs use horse armor.
I couldn't help but notice that there was a Fossils and Archaeology api within the mod. Does that mean that you'll be able to bring dragons from fossils to life? Or is that just there so dragons can eat herbivores and what-not?

Thank you very much. I might wind up using an ore growing mod or an iron golem farm or something like that just for making dragon armor.
I still think there should be prehistoric dragons. What did dragons evolve from? They must have been some type of theropod that split off and evolved wings much earlier, before the late theropods were evolving feathers. Amphipteres seem to be a relic species from that time, and obviously didn't change much because they were so well adapted to the jungle.
Maybe the early raptors became wyverns, which later on grew larger when dinosaurs were wiped out, to take the top spot in the ecosystem and become what we know as dragons. The tails of modern dragons however suggest a rhamphorhynchoid origin. So perhaps dragons were not theropods at all, just rhamphorhynchs that evolved horns and elemental breath. Am I overthinking this? Probably. Anyway you should add wyverns with long clublike tails that are found in fossils like dinosaurs.

Timeless Modding is kinda dead but idk what to put here now
Minecraft is seriously lacking in biodiversity and even more so in natural history, as a result, we have no intention of doing any form of dragon or magical creature evolution. Instead they simply exist as part of the world.
Beyond expectations as always! Yay! And an ice dragon in the lair and roost! And the remains of a dead ice dragon on a devastated field of battle following an epic clash between an ice dragon and a fire dragon! The body really shows us just how massive these creatures are! I never quite realized the scale of it until now!
Edit: What is the blue emerald ore looking block in the ice dragon lair picture?

So,since the Myrmex have hives/colonies,will one eventually be built if a Queen is spawned in creative? Also,is this being released for 1.10 or 1.10.2? (if it is being released for 1.10,and sorry if this has already been answered...)
Edit:Wait, did I post this as a reply or a comment...?

It's sapphire ore. The snow villagers trade with it.

An idea for a story mode if there is one, or simply an excuse for bosses really. Considering all the creatures from myth in this game, especially Greek Myth, my idea is this, two opposing deities, one representing Ice and one Fire. Their rival cults are both dragon slayers and dragon riders, because the power of these elementals is heavily linked to the number of ice or fire dragons in the world. If you join one, you get quests to kill dragons and possibly riders of the other element, and maybe even other monsters, in exchange for rewards such as high level enchanted gear from the mod, magic spells, whatever you guys think is best. The final boss would the opposing force's avatar, called a Titan.
Or you could have the Titans as summonable bosses which drop powerful unique items.

Queens starting colonies is an awesome idea. Further thought about the Myrmex.
I have been researching ant farming lately, starting with the capture of wild queens, young queens who are running about and haven't settled down to begin a nest yet. You put the captured queen in a vile/ test tube half filled with water for drinking and humidity and plug the opening with a cotton ball, then stick the vile in a dark, warm place and forget that it exists for a few weeks. Just leave her alone. She lays her eggs and feeds and raises the first workers herself. Then you move the vile to a larger space, open it, and let them take the time to adjust, grow, and relocate.
This is what the idea is based on. In the Myrmex queen's chamber you find eggs. The lower casts are hatched from eggs that are laying about. . But sometimes you can find a larger queen egg. The queen egg can be picked up and it will hatch after awhile if you right click it and give it the proper conditions, such as darkness and enough space for the resulting queen. She will NOT be tame. The new queen will lay eggs and the workers will build the nest. So aside from starting with an egg instead of a queen it's pretty similar to real life.
I have another idea on behavior. Feeding. The thought is that since the soldiers follow the workers around the soldiers are always going to be around the workers. So if they come across livestock the soldier grabs it in its mandibles and kills it and the nearby workers pick up the meat and carry it back to the nest. So not only do you have to worry about them chewing up your home, now they'll slaughter your livestock just to add insult to injury.
Not dying. Just resting

Here's the github repo. Since the last commit was FOUR DAYS ago, THIS WEEK, it is not "dead" or "resting".

I occasionally make textures/models for random people. Contributed to: Tinker's Construct, Growthcraft, and Animals+
PixelQuest 2, my new 1.10 RPG/rougelike-inspired modpack, is coming soon!
It makes more sense that they evolved from pterosaurs who somehow re-evolved teeth. Or from earlier pterosaurs who did have teeth.
If I seem megalomaniacal, chances are I'm just kidding
So true.

Ok,but what about my first question,or do you just want to keep that a secret for now?
