I could help you with this mod... I'm not a programmer, in fact I have no knowledge about making mods. I just tend to have really good ideas, you'd be surprised...
Unfortunately we're not looking for more official members at the moment, but we are always open to feature addition/balance change suggestions if you have them! If you come up with anything you'd like to see added to the mod, feel free to either post it here, or on the feature suggestion issue on GitHub -- we've added quite a few player-suggested features in the past, so provided the suggestion isn't super complicated to code and fits with the theme of the mod, there's a decent chance we'll add it eventually.
What you guys think of it and which strapp release is planned for it?
Like Drybones said, we won't be able to start on a 1.10 build until a compatible Forge version comes out, but we definitely plan on working on it as soon as it does! We've been running into some issues recently updating to 1.9 though, so I can't make any guarantees on release dates or versions yet -- if we get it sorted out soon, we'll try and release at least one stable 1.9 build, but otherwise if Forge 1.10 comes out before we finish the 1.9 update, we might just go ahead and skip straight to 1.10, since it should be a much easier update than the 1.8-1.9 transition has been.

What problems? I understand Java so I may be some use to you.
What a simply amazing mod. It adds in tons of fun and useful content while keeping true to the vanilla style of Minecraft that mods like Orespawn and Nevermine 2, although nice, just lack, I'd just wish I'd found this a lot sooner, as it puts new meaning into the lacking feel of vanilla Minecraft. I just want to know one thing, will this be updated in the future to work on versions past 1.8 such as as 1.9+ or 1.10 or is it 1.8+ exclusive? Again, pat yourselves on the back for this modding achievement!

Actually, I just though of this now, but is the update going to be straight into 1.9 or will it skip to 1.9.4? (Since it's the newest version with the most mods.)

They may even skip to 1.10, I heard they were having problems with the update to 1.9

We're not 100% sure yet, actually. We're currently working on updating the mod to 1.9.4 (so a 1.9 only release is unlikely), but like drybones said, we've been running into some issues (namely having enough time to find and replace the hundreds of broken variables and methods caused by the update), so if Forge for 1.10 comes out before we finish 1.9.4, we may end up skipping straight to that.

Unfortunately, we're still working on updating to 1.9. :/ So far the main issue hasn't been code, however, as much as just time. Werty's been busy lately, and there's only so much of the updating process that I know how to do, so progress has been quite a bit slower than we'd hoped. We're still planning on finishing the 1.9 and 1.10 updates though, so we'll let you know when we have a better idea of when it's coming out (which should hopefully be sometime before September)
This is a great mod but the problem is that most mods haven't updated past 1.7.10 because of code change, and even then a lot of mods have not been working well due to glitches. Kinda sucks, especially because Minestrapp 3 doesn't have nearly this amount of content. Guess I'm gonna stick to 1.7.10 for a while more.

So. 1.10 is surprisingly out already!
What you guys think of it and which strapp release is planned for it?
there is no 1.10 forge at the moment, so 1.9 will probs still be worked on

How is the 1.9 update going? It's been awhile since I've heard anything.

Yes, updates are in the works.
That's a relief, because a lot of mods such as Forestry seem to be skipping 1.8 releases all together and heading into 1.9.4.

It's out, it's been out for like 2 weeks. XD
Bump

I've just noticed, but the post doesn't specify anything on the allowance of modpacks.

You can use it in modpacks
Thanks for letting me know. Personally, I'm not going to make a modpack but I though other people who wish to should know.

When you're done porting to 1.9, will you make a new server, re-open the old one, or keep the server closed?
it would be fun to play on a Minestrappolation 4 server again.
EDIT: you should post this to curse so more people can find it.
