forbidden magic addon seems to add more taint stuff like taint tree, crusted taint bricks and slabs and the ability to survive in taint biome by owning a taint core wand which neutralize flux damage and even heals you by tapping into flux flowing trough your veins from tainted lands. i guess you can make a taint free laboratory and wader around to collect taint shards and other taint land material by wielding this new wand. now i wish i could make my own tainted villager village.

I have an idea for a tainted torch which would darken the area and increase mob spawns.The darkness would behave like a light source in how it works but darkens instead of brightens.Another suggestion would be to add an item that behaves like terrarias vile powder which spreads taint manually when consumed to make taint areas.Lastly is a suggestion to add "living" taint tools which give taint to mobs struck by it and possibly a living armor set which drains you when you equip it but gives an effect while you are wearing it.

Thaumic Tinkerer adds what is basically bottled shadow, which spreads darkness. So yes, it is possible. And the Bottled Taint isn't exactly a fast method.

So I'm guessing it'd be a torch that spawns some kind of block that behaves like TT's Gaseous Tenebrae? Probably using similar code to how Arcane Lamps spawn the additional light sources, though in a much smaller radius and with darkness?
Update, the next release will contain: 2+ new foci, a new set of armor, 3 new wand caps, a new set of tools, some awesome tweaks, a few new blocks, and some REALLY cool and useful items.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but could you also include a config option to permanently disable to particles on the Boots of the Voidwalker? The effect is just distracting to me.

I love your mod and have even included it in a private mod pack of mine (thaumpack 4: eldritch corruption) I have noticed that your mod aside from adding in new evil things (I love evil things in minecraft) it also seems to "fill in the blanks" Azanor has left. Of these "blanks" I would like you to fill would be: adding in a recipe for the crimson blade, and adding in the primal cutter. here are some ideas for the crimson blade's research: requires: void touched crimson praetor armor. sub title: the blade of the crimson praetor. forbidden knowledge level: minor. research notes: upon creating the void touched crimson praetor armor the crimson cultists now respect you even more. but you still thirst for being a true member of the cult so you have decided to forge a new blade. the blade has several interesting abilities aside from being self repairing as its predecessor the void sword it also has a better version of sapping called greater sapping witch applies hunger with weakness, and also is more sharp than the void sword. you can see it now: the cultists serving your every need, the knights serving as guards for your new castle, and possibly even the blood of bel shamoth the supreme eldritch warden on your blade... recipe: a void sword, some crimson plating, a couple pieces of crimson fabric, plus some void metal .aspects: alienalis, telum, vacous. instability: high. some ideas for the primal cutter: requires: primal crusher sub title: the blade of bel shamoth forbidden knowledge: dangerous. research notes: after forging the primal crusher you have decided to create the second part of the primal tool set: the primal cutter. the primal cutter is preternaturally sharp being able to cut through wood as equally as flesh and bone, and will weaken hunger and wither anything stuck by it(eldritch sapping). it is capable of hitting multiple mobs at once and can pull mobs towards you while pulling mode is on and your are blocking (sneak+right click to activate/deactivate) it can also chop down entire trees as the axe of the stream can. it also has self repairing. however the blade is attuned only to destruction so it can't generate a vortex of air around you, nor pull items. when you first held this blade you realized the power you wielded. soon even the eldritch themselves will fear you! It can't cut wood because I thought that was a bit silly, and it can pull in ALL entities, including items, xp, etc. There is no ability to hit multiple mobs and there is no mode switch. It is made with a void sword in the middle, 2 primal charms, a primal focus, a black hole focus, a crystal dagger, a primal crusher, and 2 buckets of liquid death, plus a bunch of essentia.
Face plate idea: solar idol/ mask of the sun. Gives fire resistance, sun scorned and nightvision as either permanent buff or triggered under some condition. Sun scorned because it brightens the screen and you dont burn anyway due fire resistance. I realy think additional face plates are something to explore.
The thing about masks is they are part of the vanilla TC texturemap, so it would be really hard to workaround and add another one. Also, I would have to make a coremod to add the faceplates to thaumium fortress armor. The most I can do is make a faceplate that works on my fortress armor only. (Void & shadow)
Or a special pickaxe, that is garbage/mediocore tier but works hypermode in the arcane bore. Or an additional focal manipulator option unlocked through research like the vampire bats research, to do something cool with the arcane bore. Something like destroying water and lava perhaps.
Modifying the way the arcane bore works would mean messing with az's code, which I can't do.
Just tweaked the auto-recharge of the Warpwood Wand. It now adds one of each primal at a MAXIMUM rate of once per 2 seconds, but that is at warp level 120. At warp level 20 it is about one of each primal every 15 seconds.
The formula is 240 divided by the player's warp level. If this returns smaller than 2, it returns 2 instead. (Then it is multiplied by 20 of course because minecraft uses ticks, and one second = 20 ticks)

A weapon that you actually draw out of a scabbard.It has surprising havent been done yet and is original in that way.I would prefer the late release as more time to get it polished rather than rushed and untweaked.
