Regen Ivy is Timeless Ivy. when crafted with any tool makes that tool act like a mana metal tool, meaning it absorbs mana to repair itself. Handy, if you want a voidmetal pick that also drinks mana.
Another idea, because taint is being left behind a bit: How about a special 'Mother of taint' mob or multistructure that asks only one thing. 'Feed me'.
This could be certain items rich of magic and mobs, that need to be sacraficed. When she is pleased, she might reward you with tainted artifacts that makes taint your ally, such as making taint creatures neutral for you and reverse flux flu and taint poison effects.
In a certain way like a blood altar, just no blood but feeding an organism whatever it desires.
A bit like a symbiosis.
But... Taint isn't intelligent. While it's a cool idea, taint is merely the local lifeforms rebelling against built-up flux; you can't grant it intelligence.

I was too lazy to make a signature, so here you go.
Perhaps if taint consumes a zombie brain or an angry zombie, so that it gains slight intelligent?
Even then, if not intelligent, some taint mob or structure that you can feed. My fish ain't intelligent but they eat when I feed them.
Now a reward though, perhaps feeding taint makes it grow, and when it's 'mature' you slay it for drops or if it is tainted plant life grow taint fruits?
Would keep taint unintelligent, but keep the idea of feeding taint for rewards.
How could taint possibly say no to your gifts.
It couldn't... It's not intelligent enough.
To be precise, I refer to that last line.
Could you please just release a version that has lowered ore spawns or something? It really bugs me having it more abundant than iron in a lot of places

or perhaps, using Sano, Lux, Ordo, and Vitium, and Shimmerleaves, Silverwood, and Tainted Tendrils, you could create semi-stable taint, that you could use for all kinds of mischief. You could taint a node without using Ethereal Blooms to hold in the taint, forge weapons that leak taint into what they hit, even breed mobs with a resistance to taint...
Use taint against itself, so to speak.

The way that i thought of the dense log, was that the warp trees are an opposite to silver wood trees, and the idea of putting it in a crucible isnt bad at all. As for the aspects needed, I would say 2 meto (its an aspect of harvesting, so it makes sense) and 2 perditio (breaks the log down).
Also if the dense log is truely a thing to be added, make it have a chance to spawn with a sinister node possibly, its like the pure silverwood getting a chance for pure nodes. Could make for an interesting war of biomes thing on servers. Taint is too difficult to get started in but eerie is ok for living and getting started.

A biome war? Sounds... really cool, actually. Like if youre on the eerie biome's side, you can only drain Sinister nodes, and if youre on the magic forest biome's side, you can only drain pure nodes.
Then there might be a taint biome group for advanced players of the Eerie biome, and they can only drain tainted nodes. And then there might be groupless players who can only drain non eerie/tainted/pure...

About the 'Breed Mobs with a resistance to taint', that sounds like something from Thaumic Horizons and its Creature Infusions.

Those aspects barely do what would be needed to make a void seed. I redirect you to my poem-comment:
Perditio to break;
Herba to bind;
Permutatio to make it recombine.
Ignis to purify;
Vacuos to seal.
And last Alienis, to make it all real.
I did change Tenebrae to Vacuous, as that was a mistake I made in the original post.
That sinister node idea, which you already suggested, is something I believe will be implemented.

I understand that the latest version of Tainted Magic is beta, but when you grow a Warpwood Tree and break the wood it gives you Warpwood with a metadata of :1. This Warpwood is unusable in recipes.

@yorkeMC
Did you add any config file to control the spawnrate of your ore in the new version ?
GTNH Modpack is on Technic Launcher Hotlist now and available on FTB and Curse Launcher too!!!

Minetweaker/Modtweaker Scripts I hosting on Github:
Hardcore well balanced Modpack with GT, Forestry, Railcraft, Thaumcraft and Better Questing Mod:
No, I haven't. I'll add it when I get around to it. Not on the top of the list.
I'm having trouble adding a config, but I am planning on making the ore rarer.
Actually I played with it for a bit and it's added. It will be in the next version for sure.
Or perhaps:
Perditio to break;
Herba to bind;
Permutatio to make it recombine.
Ignis to purify;
Tenebrae to seal.
And last Alienis, to make it all real.
That took far too long to write in poem form.

Cool. Thanks

Since the forum doesn't want to let me edit this:
My reasoning for Herba is that void needs seeds. However, this could require little; say, 4, of all these aspects, to make 8 seeds.

But I digress, that's a topic for another time.

that's what i was thinking of when I suggested it.
Ha, perhaps make that a suggestion for a general infusion unlocked after scanning the Taintfeeder mob?
We should probably move this discussion over to that thread.

since editing is broken (at least for me):
I think, due to the sheer number of aspects, just 4 of each would be fine.
Thanks for reporting that. Fixed.
