I do mind actually, though bear with me for a minute, I'll make it up to you
I'd rather this not get changed outside of my work and republished, just because I don't know your style. I'm proud of this one and don't want it to be changed. In short, I'm enjoying watching where it's going (as I'm tracking where the download links pop up) and don't want any mistakes to cause it to falter.
Though I know it's exciting to be a new coder and have all the ideas and opportunities open up, and I'd be cruel to deny you that. So I'll send you methods and class layouts for version 1, so you can see how to get this mod started and take it wherever you want. If you want to release what you build go ahead, but release it as your own mod with it's own name, not a derivative of this. I'll get typing up the code snippets and send this to your inbox in a couple of hours from now. I'm happy to help you along with it a little as well, though if you struggle too much I'll have to point you at tutorial series and leave it at that. I'm very busy with my new job, dance classes and actually playing MC at the minute, so I'm not taking on any new tutees
OK So I am running 1.8 and Liquid Enchanting doesn't seem to work properly for me. It's odd because it all shows up great in my creative inventory, NEI works to show me the crafting recipes for everything as it should, the items all work when I spawn them in with creative mode, but for some reason the game will not let me craft anything at all. I surround a helmet (for example) with night vision 3:00 potions in a crafting grid and nothing happens at all. I assumed at first it was a conflict as I run a lot of mods. So I did a test run using only this mod installed and with a clean game folder and it still gave me the same result. Properly crafted but no finished goods.
For the time being my players and I get around this by simply making all of the items needed normally, then deleting them and spawning in the desired item.
Hope this can be resolved and I need to say I love this mod even having to use a work around.
Did you manually craft the potions, or bring them in from the creative menu / give command?
For some reason, potions crafted and potions retrieved from the creative menu have different IDs. The game thinks they're completely different items. If you manually brew the potions and try to craft with those you'll likely find that it works. Bear in mind only base and level 2 potions are configured to work with this mod. Extended time (+Redstone) and splash variants won't work.
Why you might ask? Because I'd have to add entries for every single potion separately, which would make the mod file even larger, and take a very long time
OK That was it! Thankx a bunch. It works fine now but that totally explains why it acted that way in my testing game. Then after that I assumed it was just "How It Was" and just told my friends to craft/delete/spawn lol. We are all good now tho. YAY!!! Epic Mod 10/10
I've found that this mod conflicts with ColorChat ( http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/colorchat ) by K4Unl in 1.8. While both appear to load without comment, no name-specific colors render while Liquid Enchanting v2 is also loaded.
That is very peculiar indeed. Liquid Enchanting doesn't interact with the chat components of the game in any way. Aside from using the en_US file to give clean names to each item (which is ubiquitous with any item addition) it doesn't affect text strings in any way. Can you run the game again, and send the latest log file for me to have a look at? It's likely that K4Unl will have better chance fixing it that I, though I'm curious now.
Does this happen when any other forge mod is loaded, or just Liquid Enchanting? Also, could you see if it occurs with any other of my mods? (check OP for a list of my mods). I may be using a practise that interrupts with colourchat.
Yeah, I found it really odd, too - only sorted it by process of elimination. With only Liquid Enchanting, ColorChat, and ColorChat's requisite K4Lib loaded (all being versions for 1.8 specifically), this happens. The colors do render correctly when I use several of your other mods (armour expansion, ore expansion). The ColorChat mod author has been informed as well.

Honestly, I'm stumped. I can't see anything other than the Clientside bufferbuilder warnings that look remotely out of place. They're just debug messages linked to 3D rendering, shouldn't be implicated in text colouring at all.
I'll keep this one in the back of my mind, but it's an incompatibility I can't even see the source of as of yet, never mind fix! Thanks for the thorough checks and reports, if I'm given any more reports of this incompatibility I'll add it to the main thread. (Don't want to add it yet in case it's a freak error with your server setup rather than the mods themselves. Repeatability is important).
Dude in working oaln a mod right now that allows you to craft ghost armor. I tried figuring out how to apply potions to it when it is crafted but I t can't even figure out how to apply potions to is regularly. Please help

Absolutely love this mod! It's great. Would if be possible to add a config file to customize the armor durability? Since this mod basically extends potion effects from a limited time to nearly unlimited time, the only limitation now is armor durability. I would like to decrease it some to compensate for the slightly OP nature of extending potion effects for so long. Thanks!
You could make this mod better by allowing harming, regeneration and healing by making a config file but create a option to chose whether you want to allow these armors to be made.
Hey, this is a cool mod and all, but I would also like one small (maybe, I don't know coding) thing to be able to be added...
I work with command blocks, and sometimes I'll make custom armor that will give potion effects. This mod does that. The only thing that differs from this and command blocks is Sets... Like, this will give you potion effects ONLY IF you are wearing all the pieces of armor required... Do you think you could add something like that, preferably to 1.7.10? If not, that would be fine.
Mind if I deobfusacate and add on to it? I want to add a few things to it. I'm a new coder too
I do mind actually, though bear with me for a minute, I'll make it up to you

Does this support modded potion effects?
No, this only works with vanilla potions and vanilla armor, it is not designed to call other mods.
