This mod is one that is pretty self-explanatory if you know how to read. This mod is called Swords++, and well, adds in a lot of new swords into Minecraft. Ever wish there were lightsabers in Minecraft. Now there are. How about an upside-down Dinnerbone sword. It's there too. There is plenty more than just lightsabers and upside-down iron swords however. I've also implemented the following:

-Eight New Achievements

-31 Different Swords

-One New Ore

-One New Mob

-Three New Blocks

-Much, Much More!

So this mod is pretty cool, at least in my opinion. The mod was in a beta phase for a week or two, and it's now out!

However, I couldn't have done this mod without some help. I did learn ALL of my modding skills from a nice group called Youth Digital. On this online site, they offer tons of professional programming teaching in a way YouTube tutorials don't. One course they have on their site is called Mod Design 1. It teaches kids how to use Eclipse and Gimp 2.8 to make their own Minecraft mods.

Anyways, I don't have much else to say about this mod besides that I hope you give it a try. This is my first mod, so it's probably pretty basic stuff to a more advanced modder. I hope you enjoy the updated version. Onto a more pressing issue: downloads.

This mod is strictly for 1.8, so I will not be releasing this mod for earlier versions like 1.7.10 and 1.6.4. However, if I can, I may update this mod to 1.9 when it comes out.

Also may make a wiki for the mod. However, that will take a lot longer so don't count on that anytime soon.

Licensing:

As for modpack permissions, the license that this mod is protected under has been changed to the GNU Lesser General Public License version 3 (LGPLv3).

This means that you can still use my mod in any modpack, so long as you provide credit towards me (Anteaterman23), and leave a link to this page if you wish, but that is optional.

Um, so like I said, the people at Youth Digital taught me all of my modding skills. One subject they did not cover, however, was config files. Therefore, there is unfortunately not a config for this modification. I really wish there was, but they just didn't teach me how to add in one. So sorry!

Just changed texture of mob in 1.1! The download links, however, are taking a little while to update. Just give it some time.

First of all, most of the images you gave me don't really match the description of how I envisioned the mob to be. I always envisioned him to be some sort of dark knight like the one I changed him to, which was inspired by this skin:

I used Eclipse to edit my mod, and I used GIMP to edit the pictures of the mod. I will send you the pictures immediately.
