That's terrible! D8 I hope Forge develops some sort of base edit that removes that JSON bullcrap, because if they don't, then there isn't going to be very many mods for 1.8.x that are really worth anything, besides simpler ones like Custom NPCs.
well, instead of custom rendermethods for the modblocks, they could just use custom models.
of course they will need to rewrite their mods, but i think it's totally worth it, as 1.8.4 runs very smooth and without all those nasty bugs from 1.7.x
Alright I have a few questions. First off I am making a modpack with revolved around this mod it seems to run just fine with it. Everything does start to do its thing after that that few days but isnt it supposed to be like this or have you changed it.
Stage 1
Nothing happens, so go get some resources.
Stage 2
Ice and snow melt
Grass and plants die.
Stage 3
Stage 2 effects increase.
Water disappears.
Items, people and animals burn in the sun.
Fire rains from the sky.
As well any way of making it so that the sun increases in size like in the other version that would be nice

It runs on a five stage system now:
Stage 1: Nothing Happens
Stage 2: Snow melts, grass turns to dirt.
Stage 3: Stage 2 effects increase, plants left outside die.
Stage 4: Stage 3 effects increase, water (sortakinda) evaporates in direct sunlight.
For the next update, can you please add more SA destruction. For example add water evaporating, add an invisible block so the water does not refill, or add fake water that dissolves the normal water then itself. Also add the sun getting bigger and flames falling from the sky like the 1.2.5 version. These are just my suggestions but the features by itself are really neat! Keep up the good work!
I was wondering if there has been an update to the mod that fixed the server bug that I was having that would just crash it. If not no worries just would be nice to have it :).
Read up on json modelling, it's the reason large mods aren't updating.
I'm no modder and I am in no way criticizing the creators of gigantic mods. I am just saying that mod creators should feel free to do whatever they want with their mods, even if that includes updating them to the latest viable version. This mod isn't large and doesn't have (to my knowledge) have a whole lot/ nothing to do with json modelling.

Custom models involve using a TileEntity.
The lag will add up very fast.

This version doesn't have any blocks.
Yet.
Not even obsidian glass. D:

Pandora's Chest was removed a long time ago, and there aren't any plans to reintroduce it.
If you do some copy/pasting, you can move the EAWorldData file to the data folder in the save directory of the world.
But do note, it is based on the day and the second you log in everything will probably be burned to the ground.

Why would yall vote 1.7.10? 1.9 is coming out soon for god's sake.
Because 99.9% of all good mods are still in 1.7.10, I barely use 1.8.
I know of a lot of good mods in 1.8. I don't feel that mod authors should be kept from updating to 1.8 because other aren't.

I understand, many people are under the assumption that the mod authors work for them.
Anyway modders' biggest enemy is json right now, and it doesn't look like it's gonna get any better for a while.
