Idk why this didn't occur to me earlier, but have you considered an Ender Chest pet?
Hi ThiefCatEike
We did consider an Ender Chest pet and even have an animated texture. But we discovered that the Ender Pet is pretty much the same as the regular Chest pet because you take it with you and access it anywhere. Do you see any unique advantage for it?

I can think of one: Being able to send things into a secure location.
Sometimes you die while adventuring, and it can be a real boon having a means to make sure you don't lose everything. I do it all the time, carry an ender chest and pop stuff into it that i'd be upset losing, so if i DO die, its already sitting there in my base

Good one, Demogarose. Ok, it's on the short list for the next content update
Pretty much everything he just said. I wasn't at my computer at the time to reply.
An ender chest pet can access items that is found in YOUR specific ender chest so if you do bite the dust, you at least have some of your items safe in one area.
Eh... Might want to use a mineshaft-style spawning system for underground dungeons.
Just ignore the Mag Tools trees, I'll burn 'em down later. Or nuke 'em if they're fire-proof.
Lol, yeah, we saw that in a Russian video review. In the update, we've changed the way the dungeons behave in superflat. I am assuming this is Superflat? Or is this via another world gen mod? Thanks!
Superflat, everything standard, only enabled cheats and creative. It was my first attempt at a test world. Important question though, does this fix of yours work in Mystcraft worlds generated as flat or void? If not, I really recommend only letting them spawn when at least 80% (you can change this, but 80 sounded good to me) of the structure replaces other solid blocks.

If I'm rude to you, just tell me. Don't take it too personally. Well, unless you were being stupid. If you were, DO take it personally.

Thanks IANNOVA. In the future, dungeons will not spawn in Superflat, and they currently only spawn in the Overworld, no custom dimensions.
But it's an interesting suggestion about the 80% rule. We'll think on it.
Thank you everyone for the support and suggestions. We are overwhelmed by the positive response to our mod, and look forward to wowing you with new pets and ideas in a future content update. This update fixes a number of issues and adds in Multiplayer and Forge Server support. Here’s the official list:
Updates
Added in Multiplayer and Forge Server Support (let us know if you run into issues)
Added OreDictionary compatibility to all Pet recipes and nuggets
Added in new Legendary recipes, default to off
Anvil now also repairs in Creative mode, but only repairs every 2-4 minutes
Added in better controls and instructions for Jukebox
Changed color of Obsidian nuggets to make them easier to distinguish
You can now disable crafting recipes entirely in the config file as well as disable individual Pet recipes.
You can now disable dungeon creation in the Config file
Dungeons will no longer spawn in Superflat world type (still not working, added back to known bugs)
The Nether Portal Pet now saves your last used point and will return you there (instead of seemingly random locations)
If the Nether Portal Pet can't find your return point, it returns you to your Spawn point
Increased the distance of Enderman Teleport
Increased the occurrence of Sea Caves.
Increased poison damage caused by Pufferfish (more deserving of his/her legendary status)
Reduced occurrence of sky, tree, and underground dungeons
Updated slime ability text to: “Saves you from certain death”
Added awesome angelic noise for Slime when you are resurrected
Spider can now hang on wall [LSHIFT] while climbing
Fun fact this works on servers with other mods too. So in my pack it goes updating later today maybe you should check it out here is the link http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/blend.567913
Hey Mxnmnm, grab the latest update and let us know how it works for you in your modpack.
Sky Dungeon is still SUPER common, like, 20 chunks of of each other or up to 100 chunks.
Using the newest version BTW in a newly generated world.
There's also one just behind me to the left within roughly 50 chunks I'm guessing; I can turn around and see it with render distance at 8 from the 2 aforementioned ones.
Ok thats cool!

#PurpleCowsgottafixstuff whenever I try to open minecraft with 1.7.10 with that mod active (ACTIVE ALONE) when I go on a world my game crashes???
Just to tell you, The banner is not working on my signature.
Thanks, kenlauescuadro. You would think with all the coding we do, we'd be able to handle a bit of HTML. We'll update it in the next day
