Hey Tatsu! Thanks again for your awesome shaders, but I've encounter a weird issue.
In the past I've either downloaded pre-made modpacks or taken one of them and added my own mods. This time I've tried to build one from scratch (using the Curse mod system).
Now, this problem doesn't just affect your shaders, but several I've tried, so I don't expect you to necessarily help me here, but if you lead me in a direction that might fix this issue, it would be very appreciated.
When using the Optifine "internal shaders", everything looks fine, but using any other shaders results in a sky that is blown out white, or shows glitches like this, or both.
I looked though my list of mods, and nothing jumps out at me as being responsible, but if you could even suggest a course of action before I start swapping mods out one by one, it would be greatly appreciated.

sorry for late reply, if the problem affects most shaders, i think it's a good idea to discuss it with other dev too, join this discord if you want : https://discord.gg/F4BtNAc
Great update with the 6.0.2! Thank you for your work. I'm glad to play minecraft with your shader, now even more that the nether is fixed. One thing though if it's not too much to ask: is it possible to take away that "glitch" when someone goes underwater? Close under the surface of the water when i swim it's possible to see the whole underwater landscape.
Thank you again!
the problem occurs because minecraft thinks that you're "in water" even your eye level is not below the water itself (water displacement from shader doesn't affect the in-water calculation). you only need to make sure that you're not in that eye level. most other shader have the same problem too anyway.

Any reply is great
The modpack I was building failed terribly thanks to the latest updates from Thermal Expansion (anything after June 26 by COFH team), which I only found out after lots of troubleshooting.
In the process I started rebuilding the pack from scratch, and the shaders worked up until a certain point (after figuring out the affecting mod and then dumping in all the others).
So! It's definitely some mod in my 1.10.2 pack that is causing the issue. Hopefully I can find the time to find out which one it is.
Really love the shader. It is the very best one I've seen imo.
Only thing that is bugging me is I get those white lines where the sky ends ( when i turn it on and off it's really clear that the line form where the sky ends ) that form a sort of box of what I believe is the max draw distance.
I was wondering if there is any way to removed them? Like turn off a setting or something similar.
I'm using only your shader a ressource pack called riverwood so it might the ressources pack but it seems to be working fine with other shaders so idk. When I turn off custom sky ( which then use the default one I believe ) the problem also persist.
If you have any advice on how to solve this it would be really appreciated.
If not.. oh well, i'll just live with it since I can't get myself to play without either of those 2 now. =p

Just wanted to confirm that I have the same issue, but only in single player if get above a certain draw distance. On my server I have it set to 16, and the white lines don't appear.
Hey, is there a version of this that works with Minecraft version 1.7.10? I really love how this pack looks but I can't seem to get it to work when I use that version. I'm just wondering because that's the version I use for modded stuff.

yep i know this, most shader have it too and it's unfixable afaik

you can use any version of my shader, as long as you're using the latest version of optifine (D8), i recommend v6 series (6.0.0b for performance, 6.1 for more customization and compatibility).
if optifine screws other mod and you're using karyonix's shadersmod, you can use any below v6 series (i recommend v42 for performance, v53 for best quality).

For the record, the mod at issue was Astral Sorcery. Probably because it uses a custom sky. No fix I've found, but I haven't looked yet.
I notice that the sunrise/sunset effect showing up underground has just been reported. I was dropping by to report that too.
I'm Mac user, and I know that we're not usually supported. I've rolled through most of the shader packs up for download, looking for something that will work on my machine. Yours not only works, but it's gorgeous -- by far the most beautiful of my very limited set of options.

i already set up a fix in v6.1. to remove underground shadows, open shader options > shadows > shadow leak fix
Something weird though. I was doing some personal testing on 6.0.2 on my system, because I was disappointed that I was only getting in the high 40s, and no matter how much I dial down the shader, or turn it up full blast, the FPS is pretty much always the same.
System is an i5-6600K overclocked to 4.6Ghz, and a 980Ti, and 16 gig of ram, running @ 1440p resolution on a 1440p monitor. I'm connecting to a server on another PC and have my RAM settings at 8 gigs for the client. There are a bunch of other mods running.
The FPS would start out in the 70's, but then quickly drop to around 50 fps and a bit lower. I tried going into the settings of 6.0.2 and setting all of the options to the lowest or off settings. Still getting around 50 fps. So then I tried setting the profile to high. Still 50 fps. Set the setting to my preferred settings, still around 50 fps.
The settings literally seem to have NO effect on the FPS.
OH! I should note that I have Better Foliage installed, but it also seems to have no effect on the FPS whether it is turned on or off. Same thing, hovering around 50 fps after a little bit of playtime.

I'm stumped!
if you don't mind with (much) less options, v6.0.0b might be good for you, since you simply get free fps while the quality is more or less the same in standard profile. high fps in first time load is obvious since there's not much to render, and i can't really help with same fps even the settings are toned down since everyone's pc are different.

Hmm. 6.1 seems to be no longer compatible with my Mac. I get the dreaded Invalid program composite1 error, and my held objects become invisible -- the model can't be seen, but there is a light halo around them.
Of course, I cannot play with my video drivers because Apple. I know, I know, but the computer isn't a gaming machine -- I just do that on the side. My graphics card is Radeon Pro 460. I don't know if you feel like attempting to support Macs or not. I just was excited to see how great your shaders look on my machine. I'm happy to live with the minor glitches and stay on 6.02 where I was.
BTW: I was scanning through the thread and your website for this info, and I haven't found it yet. Is there a change list to go with your major version releases? I may do better to try out OLDER versions, and I'm curious to know what I'm missing.
Man i have a thing to say... your shader are precious, the envioriment, the colors and the low fps cost, really! but i have one problem when i put in ultra, its a bunch of artifacts on the screen. you have a idea of causing this?

a simple error message is probably not enough for me
try to run my shader again, open .minecraft\logs\latest.log, copy the whole text to pastebin and send pastebin link here.

try to disable volumetric stuffs one by one from shader options
to disable vol. clouds : sky > set clouds to flat or off
to disable vol. light : world > set light shafts to screen space or off

looks like the mediafire link for latest stable is down
just tested the link, it's still good.
sending pm just in case it still doesn't work

yes there is!
go to shader options, go to lighting > set day/night/rain skylight strength to lower values
