I don't know if I should get more fps or have something wrong or something but I get about 80 fps with GTX 1070 & i5 6600k (1080p) with this shaderpack, and if I disable VBOs as recommended, I only get around 30-50 fps.. :/ Should I be able to get more? And without VBOs, it's lagging very bad while loading chunks.
EDIT: Well now I see why VBOs to off is so important in this 6.0 preview. Still shaders should be compatible with VBOs. I can keep VBOs on in the "BSL-shaders-all-versions-standard" called version tho. The 6.0 version should also hopely be just fine with VBOs on when it becomes final version and not preview.
This looks really nice, but i'm wondering how do i disable the godrays? (The lights from the sun and moon) They always hurt my eyes q_q Thanks in advance

It's surely the worst idea to set vbo off, I loose a lot of FPS and the game become unplayable. And a shader isn't supposed to be imcompatible with VBO. And if you had readded all my posts, you should know I already tried it and it didn't change anything. The problem doesn't come from me but from the shader.
just tried out vbo again, looks fine in my current development version, except the bottom sky bug still exists.
vbo doesn't affect my fps a lot somehow, and i can't really do a lot with such framerate issues.
btw, i never have "BSL-shaders-all-versions-standard". you're probably got it from those bad reuploaders
I use at the moment v53. I checked many shaders, even the "big" one, and I must say for me your is the best. I like the Look of it, specially with the outline shader.
Will test v6 soon.
Edit: v6 looks good so far for me.
A Idea for the config, that I never saw on any shader: the possibility to change the strength of weaving leafs etc.
I also like it when the weaving is heavier when it rains. I add that for me manually.
Is the outline shader planed for v6 too? For me and my project a must have.
I also have some idea to make the outline shader more flexible, but I don't know if all changings would be possible.
P.S. outline shader != cel shader, cel shader change only the colors/shadows on object.
outline shader confirmed
extra : colored shadow confirmed too

Yea probably.. xd Don't remember, but somehow that kind of version actually looked somehow better for my opinion and had different water options like tropical, original, etc. and light colors and all. V 6.0 preview isn't bad tho, it's beautiful too. Pics below:

more color options will be available in v6.1
btw use v53 instead of "all versions". v53 is way more updated than that one afaik
Played a bit around with the outline shader on V5.3 (manually edited). Like it that way more, only near objects get outlines and the outlines are a bit transparent so they are not complete black and get the color of the texture under it. That way it looks a bit more Anime like.
Also you could see a water bug on V5.3. The water is not transparent as it should be, in V6 it is all fine.
Another question: would it be possible to have an extra outline shader only for mobs and player characters? Because often they have a much widther viewing range than the outlines in the normal world.
the water opacity problem should because the rendering technique for the water in v53 is different from v6.0.
in v53, water rendered at the same time with any other blocks. however, in v6.0, water and some other blocks are rendered seperately. that might be why the water looks so opaque from the side

Yeah downloaded that v53 you suggested. It is incredible :3 Even more options there. Amazing. Will all previous version's options come to v.6.0 too? And glass reflections? And I don't know if it is possible but seeing water throught colored glass would be nice.
installed it and flashed super fast white could give someone epilepsi
the information you give is not enough, i can't help a lot with this.
if you mean the sky is black and everything glows so bright, you shouldn't use karyonix's shadersmod. you need optifine to run this shader.
Your rendering and better than before but it is still not as good as on the continum shader look at its source code this will help you to get a trick as well manage.
And look this video her the pom glitch animation ( is my video)
Thanks for your quick reply
i guess you need to edit the shader a bit. open gbuffers_terrain.fsh in the zip using notepad++ (or any other equivalent) and you'll find #define POM_DEPTH 0.1 , change 0.1 to any lower value like 0.05, 0.02, etc. i still don't know how to fix the glitch animation so far
Same problem on the weaving leaves for Biomes O' Plenty trees?
leaves are still possible, but you need to know the block id.
go to gbuffers_terrain.vsh, find this line...
if (mc_Entity.x == 18.0 || mc_Entity.x == 106.0 ... || mc_Entity.x == 111) mat = 0.4;
after mc_Entity.x == 111, you need to write " || mc_Entity.x == blockidhere"". do it again if there's more than one block you need to assign.
I felt like I needed to say, I've been using your v5.3 shaders for a while now, and while I check out other shaders every once and a while, I always fall back on the BSL shaders because I can tweak them just EXACTLY like I want. Also, unlike some other shaders, you have actual descriptions on what the different options actually do and it's much appreciated.
BSL Shader v6.0 Patch 12/3/2017 (idk why patches are frequent for now)
another patch just in a day, because the annoying bugs. here's what's new:
-resource pack support is available now.
-possible fix for translucent objects being bright in overworld
-increased ssao samples from 16 to 24 since ao isn't blurred anymore
Mind popping into the shaderLABS Discord? It'll make the process of debugging much easier.

Any chance for a direct download link as a secondary option?

BSL Shader v6.0 Patch 18/3/2017
almost ready for release :3 here's what's new :
-godrays, with colors :3 (if the rays hits translucent blocks, the color will change based on the block's colors)
-lens flare remade based on v53. most stuffs are recoded.
-waving tall plants
-shader options (profiles available : low, medium, standard, high)
outline shader confirmed
extra : colored shadow confirmed too

Keep the good work up.
whoops looks like the pom depth is too much in v53, sorry about that.
i'm not updating v53 again, so you might want to try the pom in v6.0

sorry, but that mod isn't designed to work with shaders, and most shader devs can't fix it.

hi, i never seen this kind of bug before.
