* Upgrade to Minecraft 1.15.2.
* (1.15.1) Fixed compatibility with the latest Forge version.
+ Added 2 new options in the waypoints options menu for temporarily sorting the waypoints list by name, initial or distance to the waypoints.
+ Added new tooltips to some minimap options.
* Increased the opacity of the tooltip background, so it's easier to read longer tooltips.
* Compatibility with Xaero's World Map 1.5.5. Not compatible with older versions.
+ Added the possibility of using 2 characters as a waypoint initial.
* Separated the toggle waypoint key binding into 2, for ingame waypoints and minimap ones. You can still set both key bindings to the same key to restore old functionality.
* (1.12.2 and below) Fixed graphical waypoints button not working.
* Reworked minimap writing to work on the main game thread. Can negatively (or positively) affect the performance a bit depending on your computer specs but it's worth it for stability reasons (especially when playing with a lot of other mods). This change should fix a lot of incompatibility-based crashes. A similar change is coming to the world map mod in the future.
* Minimap writer optimization.
Every server should have a plugin for permissions though. Why not get one?
I'm not the admin, just trying to help the admins so that the average player can TP. We don't really understand all this stuff so we thought the mod would handle it. How would I go about looking for these plugins?

I don't know much about server plugins nowadays but you'll definitely find something if you Google it.

Well, currently the most common plugin used is called "LuckPerms". It is compatible with both Paper and Spigot, and can be found on the Spigot website: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/luckperms-an-advanced-permissions-plugin.28140/ Prior to this, the most common plugin was called "Permissions Ex". Unfortunately, it was abandoned long ago.
I would suggest pairing LuckPerms with the EssentialsX plugin, which is the current iteration of Essentials. It overrides most of the vanilla commands, and adds proper support for a permission plugin. You can find it here: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/essentialsx.9089/ It's worth noting that 1.15.2 support for EssentialsX is still in development builds, found on their Jenkins listed on the Spigot page. The latest 'release' build is still only for 1.14.4, so make sure to grab the correct version.
Once you have both EssentialsX and LuckPerms, you would just need to add the permission node "essentials.tp" to the default group. Bear in mind that doing this will allow all players to teleport to any coordinates, and any other players at will. So, I would suggest manually adding the permission to players you trust rather than allowing it globally. If this isn't a concern however, then by all means do the former.
If you decide against using EssentialsX, then the vanilla permission node is instead "minecraft.command.teleport". Either way, this node can be added via ingame command or via the config files. I would suggest using the ingame command, due to the tab complete support - it makes it much easier, and quicker. Please see the well documented wiki pages for the command syntax linked on the Spigot page.

Hopefully this helps.

Holy bananas! Thank you for this! I've been searching since I got my answer, but given that I really know nothing, I couldn't make heads or takes of my google searches! lol
Thank you for providing the links and the commands (and the vanilla alternative, too!), this is beyond helpful. I'm going to pass this to the admins, so we can finally start TPing to all of our bases. The 4k walks are nice and all, but not when you gotta do it a dozen times in one day. xD
* Fixed minimap chunks persisting when switching dimensions if the player coordinates don't change much. Wasn't really a bug because the minimap mod doesn't actually save any map data but it seemed to confuse people.
* (1.15.2) Fixed player names not being displayed under player heads (with the appropriate option turned on).
* Player names under player heads will now be coloured according to the player dot colours.
* Fixed longer biome names sometimes not fitting in the screen when using smaller minimap sizes.
* Added an error for when you try to install Better PVP and Xaero's Minimap together. Better PVP contains the same minimap by default and installing both mods causes nothing but problems.
The fair-play version of the mod is now also updated to 20.0.0 (see previous changelog)!

I crashed with a message saying minimap mod couldnt load because it needs javafml:31 or above, I have no idea what that means ;v;

Any ideas?
Sidenote, you should get an official discord server : )
You're trying to load a 1.15.2 version of the mod on Minecraft 1.15.1. Either install 1.15.2 Forge or get the 1.15.1 version of the mod.
I have a Discord server, it's patron-only though.

Is there anyway to allow TP commands for normal players, so that they can tp to their markers? It seems to only work for the admins.
Yes. Give them permission for the /tp command.

Hello and thank you for the reply,
Forgive me for asking this please, but what's the command to allow this?
It's not a vanilla command, it depends on your server. On vanilla, you need to be op to use /tp. With some server plugins it works differently.

So then without another mod/plugin that changes the method, the only way to enable this is to make everyone OP so they can use the /tp command? Aww.
Every server should have a plugin for permissions though. Why not get one?
