I just came across your mod and I from what I've seen so far, I am loving it! Excellent work.
One curious thing, and it applies to both your minimap mod and your equally cool world map mod...the very latest versions (1.15.9 and 1.3.3, respectively) are not loaded/recognized by Forge (tried both latest [2796] and recommended [2768] builds). The prior versions (1.15.8 and 1.3.2) work beautifully, all else being the same. I likely wouldn't have even known there was a newer version, except the minimap mod itself alerted me, and took me to the download page of the newer version.
I couldn't quickly find other post regarding this, so I'm not sure if it's just me, but it seems unlikely (though certainly not impossible) that I'm making a blunder, since the only thing that I am changing is the version.

Thoughts?
I have no idea why this would be the case. Are you sure you're installing the mods correctly?
Thanks for the kind words!
Downloaded files were 0 bytes. Firefox browser silently blocked the download without pomp or circumstance, but still wrote the file, just gave it zero length. I had to go into downloads to see the message (not something I do normally). I didn't even think to check the filesize, since all seemed fine. So, sorry for the trouble, but I am amazed how fast you responded! Kudos to you!
That's strange. Could it be that you are setting "quick waypoints" using the key binding? These don't save unless you edit them (on purpose). From the way you described your problem it seemed that you were not doing that but I need to make sure.
No, I do not belive I am doing that. The way I set my waypoints is I press B and add them in.
FTB Interactions entered its close beta but we're occasionally getting clientside crashes from you. Since it's a closed beta, we're distributing it via modpack files, is there a way to avoid these crashes? https://github.com/Vyraal1/FTB-Interactions/issues/90

I'm guessing it's an incompatibility with DynamicLights. Might be another mod though. I'll try to fix it for the next world map update. Update the world map to 1.3.3 and the minimap to 1.15.9. It will fix some other issues for you.

Is it possible if you can add a feature where you can choose what specific entities you want to show on a map. For example: Show all chickens on the map or creepers on the map. Or just show all entties from a specific mod. I use this mod with other mods so that would be pretty helpful.
A bit niche but another suggestion is to show specific blocks on a map. Like if I want to find oak wood, all spots of oak wood would glow on the map. Idk if that’s possible but just a suggestions.
Thanks Xaero, will give it a try to our testers. The crashes are far and few between so it might be a while until we get confirmation (since we can't replicate easily). Also is there a way to get this onto Curseforge? If you care about the curse points.
Hey there. First of all love the mod, very nice minimap. Having a bit of trouble right now though. Last night it was working perfectly, tonight the minimap does not show at all. Only using about 3-4 other mods, opti-fine, no-drift, and something else cant remember. Haven't changed anything in the minecraft folder in over a week or two. Only that's changed is I think microsoft updated last night I believe.

Check if you accidentally disabled the minimap. Press Y to open the settings. There's a key binding which toggles the minimap on and off, which you might have pressed.

I'll upload it there when I reach a super stable version of the mod, which is soon I think.

Thanks for suggesting! Love the entity filter idea and I'm probably going to implement something similar in the future.
As for the block filter, that's basically x-ray, so probably no.
I seem to have found (what I definitely consider) a critical issue in the 1.7.10 version.
Look at these screenshots, the position of the corpse and the deathpoints, then look at the one in the Nether.
Overworld:
End
Ceres
Sirius B
Mars
And finally, the problematic Nether
As you can clearly see, the deathpoints work perfectly fine on just about all dimensions, except, oddly, the Nether. For some reason, they are set very far away from where the actual death was. As shown, I've tested several dimensions to confirm this is just a Nether issue. Is Biomes O' Plenty somehow affecting it? It works fine in a Biomes O' Plenty overworld, but that's really the only mod I think could be causing this issue. Is there a way to generate a debug log just for your minimap? I don't want to post my entire game log as it may be quite large since I have around 150 mods. (Also, ignore the Galacticraft oxygen indicators blocking the map)
EDIT: Alright, you may have seen my post here where I investigated whether it was a Minimap or World Map issue. I came to the conclusion that it is in fact a Minimap issue.
Here's what I found:
Version 1.14.7 of the Minimap and version 1.2.4 of the World Map used together don't present the issue. Any newer version of World Map used causes a crash with the Minimap. All combinations above these 2 versions that I tried just crash the game either on startup or on world load. Thus, I cannot say which version of the Minimap this bug first appeared in but I can say it's above 1.2.4. I'll be using Minimap v1.14.7 and World Map v1.2.4 until the issue is fixed (if it is fixed). This is all the information I can provide unfortunately. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful with my investigation.

Hey,
Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I saw your post very late at night and wanted to reply in the morning but then completely forgot.
This issue comes from the feature in the minimap mod where if you switch to a overworld sub-world in the waypoints menu while being in the Nether you'll see the overworld waypoints in the corresponding nether locations (divided by 8). Your waypoints are acting strange though. I'll go do some testing and then I'll edit this post.
EDIT: So basically, I messed up when porting this feature from 1.12 to 1.8.9 and 1.7.10, so the mod constantly thinks that you're viewing overworld while in the nether. It wasn't obvious because setting waypoints seemed to work "fine". Deathpoints are the only thing that gave it away because apparently they ignore this feature and are set in the correct nether coordinates (and then displayed as if they were overworld coordinates). This is pretty bad. If I fix the issue, everyone's manually set waypoints will be shown in their actual locations, which is not where the player set them initially. And I can't just divide all waypoints by 8 because not everyone is going to update from a bad mod version and not all waypoints are broken. I'll need to add some buttons that'll let the users quickly toggle nether waypoints between nether and overworld coordinates (all at once or a single waypoint).
Check the Options button in the waypoints screen and the 2 new buttons in the waypoint editing screen. Multiply the coordinates of the deathpoint first and then divide coordinates of all waypoints and everything should be fixed.

It's fine. When we're really tired our brains just refuse to store information for some reason. (Believe me, I know better than anyone.)
Yeah, I figured it had something to do with the 8 block to 1 ratio. I just originally thought BoP was causing it. Glad to see that wasn't the case. I just installed that test version and all seems to work with no issue. Thanks for getting a fix through.
Is this feature used for helping you with using Nether Portals to travel the overworld? I didn't even know this existed. This would be really useful if that's the case.

Hey there, I’ve been loving this mod since I started playing Stoneblock 2. I was wondering if there would be any way of making an option that puts a grid over the minimal so that I could see how many blocks certain areas would take for projects
