Hello there, i just noticed this bug a while ago, but i didnt bothered with it, but recently i tried to use this feature and it was not working as it should with a different version, so i updated the minimap to the lastest version and it didn't fixed it, i downgraded my forge version to 34.1.0 ( i was using 34.1.1) and it didnt got fixed again
so, what should i do to make it work like it should?

You are using the fair-play version of the mod, which purposely has some features disabled. Download the full mod.
* Compatible with Xaero's World Map 1.11.0 or newer.
+ Added a new option/screen for setting up a light/darkness overlay on the minimap. The overlay highlights blocks whose top light levels are within a custom range, which is 0 - 7 by default. You can choose the light type. The overlay updates at the same frequency as the lighting on the minimap, so it's not instant. Currently using the overlay disables the usage of the world map mod chunks, similar to cave mode, because the world map mod does not support such block overlays (yet?). Works best when paired with the "Show Light Level" option.
* A lot of optimizations in the minimap writing/discovery code. Should improve game performance. This mainly affects cave/overlay maps, if you are using the world map mod as well. Similar improvements are coming soon to the world map mod too though. I'm planning to make map updating speed adjustable/dynamic, which should benefit from the optimizations.
* Compatible with Xaero's World Map 1.11.0 or newer.
* Fixed the bug where certain chunks would stay unloaded on the minimap, especially on higher render distances.
* (1.8.9 - 1.16.3) Fixed cave roof detection being affected by barrier blocks, especially when server heightmaps are ignored.
* Fixed the native byte order not being used for some people on minimap texture upload, causing incorrect colors.
* More minimap discovery/writing optimization.
* Compatible with Xaero's World Map 1.11.0 or newer.
+ Added 2 new options to the game time setting for not having the day count displayed.

Is there a possibility that you could add a way to rotate the directions? For example, I'd like a setting to change it so that visually, heading west shows me instead as heading north on a specific server. This also applies to the world map, but I figured I would just post on one.

Great suggestion! I have played one of the Minescape variants in the past and I think more than 1 of them have this issue. Not sure why the did it this way. I'll definitely look into it. I absolutely love how the RS world looks in this mod though

Hi @xaero96 . Thank you VERY much for the tamed mob addition! However, something seems to not be working. I've set my tamed mobs (horses in this case) to be blue. I'm not seeing that, I'm seeing them as green (friendly mobs - cows, sheep, etc). I even tried putting a nametag on a horse and it's still not showing as a tamed mob. What could be wrong?

It seems that horses are not classified as tamable entities. I'll look into it.
EDIT: Well yeah, horses are technically not tamable, they just trust certain players. Tamed entities are the ones that follow you and can teleport to you. Probably should make an exception for certain entities.

It wasn't added yet. I'm focusing on the entity icons for now. Seems to be pretty buggy in heavily modded environments so I need to sort that out. Maybe I'll include this change in this week's update though. Although it might be a lot more complicated with horses than it was with dogs and cats, which might mean that it'll have to wait.
