Actually if you're talking about warpdrive it's only airships/spaceships and i contacted the maker and he said he is working on airships and if you scroll down the page he posts a roadmap of his plans i will copy post it here
ROADMAP
These things will eventually happen. It's only a matter of time. Want them to happen faster? Help free up more of my time by supporting developent via .
Add fancier propulsion systems Add airships Add submarines Add ship combat Better redstone support seems like he is going to add airships the only problem with his mod is no compatibility with mods that rewrite the movement system which is more than i thought so your mod is probably better on compatibility with other mods also what is ASM?
I have been following up on this mod and I have to say it is very impressive.
Can you add Star Wars Battlefront 2 space combat style with the ships like in this video where the cameras 3rd person behind the ship and you can shoot lasers from it?

I don't really feel this would fit very well with the general theme of the mod.
hmm after a while of testing other ship mods yours seems to be the only one that is compatible with most mods or mods in general for that matter well done i must say! also i have a request i found this http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1290619-freeuse-no-permission-needed-fpsplus-1-5-2-1-7-10 it appears abandoned since he says it's 1.7.10 but there is no version for 1.7.10... and he has been gone for a LONG time the last update i saw was from atomicstryker he updated it to 1.7.10 but he said he is not picking up the mod so i don't know how good a modded you are but if you could it would be nice if you picked it up also it is open source so don't worry about that if you can't i will try to find a modder who can and if i can't i may attempt myself which i doubt will work
A Star wars themed addition would be very niche, and would be better off in a mod not as popular as this. Also, the fighters are meant to constantly move and have a 3d dogfight style that is meant for space. The airships in this mod are meant to be zeppelins or hot air balloons, not fighter jets (space ships?). Then there's the point of time and setting. Minecraft is somewhat like the "stranded on the island" situation, or settlement of an area, with limited technology. Star wars is about the biggest theme contrast you can imagine for Minecraft.
I have some extremely exciting news! I've found what I believe to be the cause of memory leaks, this isn't 100% but I'm fairly sure I know what it is.
Awesome, it is always good to see a mod author fixing performance issues. I did have a request though, since free walking is not really doable, please consider adding a 'stand' block that functions the same as a seat but allows the players to look a bit more natural on most old fashioned ships. Nothing major, just something that looks like a pressure plate or even a flat redstone like 2D overlay. I think it would look considerably better than a bunch of chairs on the deck of a moving war galleon. Thanks for keeping this mod alive Dark!

I have a suggestion, can you add "no-follow" blocks like the original zeppelin mod?
Or a block that can be toggled as to whether or not it can be picked up.
This would allow for ships that can link together and then easily separate or movable elevators/turrets on a larger ship without having to destroy and replace blocks, or use ugly piston connections.
hello dark i have a question how do you plan to add combat? and approximately how soon a few days? weeks? months? hopefully not a few years minecraft might have it in vanilla by then also do you plan to add alternatives to make your ship fly?

As far as fuel efficiency and all that, maybe a Buildcraft module in configs? I am not a fan of the high sim elements of some of the more intense energy mods out there. I feel like I get bogged down, worrying about automation and industry, rather than adventure. I would like it if engines just had a few negatives and positives to using them. Kind of like rpg stats. Having said that, I've also thought that damaged pieces should temporarily turn into falling blocks. Along with this, it would be nice to see enemy ships, that could destroy your ship, and in turn could be destroyed and taken, themselves. I like the idea of being shot down over foreign territory. Maybe there could be a shipwright block that had the blueprints for your ship, so if you wrecked your ship, you could recover it's blocks (with a black box block, maybe? ) and quickly rebuild/repair your ship.
I like the idea of having wheels as to many times I crashed because of forgetting to disconnect the airship from the ground and the main Ideas I see for this mod are cannons, propellors and wheels. Thank you.
This might not seem exciting at first, but I've fixed all errors from the transition to MovingWorldLib and things actually load now. It's not in a state to be used at all yet but I'm really close now.
So, just so I have this right, active development has begun once again on Archimede's Ships? Or is it just something that's planned to start later?
This is awesome, though. I need to get my ship up and running again. There's a water monument I want to sail to and those skimpy little boats just aren't cutting it.

I think you have it right but I'll clarify.
This mod is a fork of the Archimedes Ships source code, I started it because I wanted a few things implemented that seemed useful to me. After starting development I noticed the lack of activity on the main repo so I decided it would be best to make it a mod for the public instead of just me. So it's technically still the same mod but I wouldn't expect immediate compatibility with older versions. But you can expect active development from me and anyone interested in helping out

Thats great news!!!
quick question, can you possibly, whenever you have the time, get a fix for the Falling Off Buttons bug?
this is a serious problem for anyone who uses the Cannons Plugin on Cauldron, which i use since there is no way to get weapons on the ships
( i decompile whenever i want to shoot, and use Movecraft for fine adjustments)
So just a question will propellers be added or not.
Why not?

Already planned

He don't cheese! Baby, Baby! He don't cheese!
So is the download on the front page a more stable version of this mod, for 1.7.10?
