It's been a while since I played Minecraft and been on this forum. I haven't tried this mod after adding the ability to grow a Foliaath. I read the OP, and it said grown Foliaaths were not tames, and still attack you. I was saddened by this, but I will still use it. I do have a few questions. I skimmed through the last 10 pages for answers, and found none. If these have been answered, my apologies. Also, please do not take these as me complaining. I am just curious.
Why are grown Foliaaths not tamed and still attack us? Secondly, if growing your own Foliaath doesn't make it yours, what is the point of growing it in the first place? I might guess having them attack things around your house for protection, but that won't work for people who for example, want to put the at tunnel entrances to keep them out (assuming the tunnel isnt wide enough to safely go in between them). The only real improvement I see to Foliaaths as they are now, is a possibility that they will not despawn due to being grown and not naturally spawned (I don't know if that's true, but I would like to know).
Overall, I like the mod, and am looking forward to future updates.

I think I can answer a few of your questions. Foliaaths are not tamed when you grow them because they are plants. They do not have parental affection, nor any senses to indicate who raised them. However, Mowzie has stated his intention to eventually make grown Foliaaths tamable, and I experimented with the Witchery mod's Infernal infusion, and found that, while there were some weird bugs, it worked well for the most part in taming Foliaaths. Just don't try to make them move. The point of raising Foliaaths is... whatever you want it to be. You could use them as decoration, traps, trolling, base defense, basically whatever you can think of. Also, wildcard321, the pronunciation of Foliaath is in their spoiler tag.

Aside from the fact that they're plants, it's just not what I want from the mod. Features need balance and cost; foliaaths were never meant for general and complete defense. Their uses when planted aren't eliminated because of their persistent hostility. Instead, the applications for growing them become more nuanced. DeadlyScorpion got all of them that I could think of except for mob farms. (They don't destroy drops, unlike lava.)
I forgot to eliminate despawning in the current version. A bugfix is on its way once I figure out why I can't compile the mod...
Mowzie, do you think you could add a creative item that gets rid of Foliaaths? Whenever I test with them in creative, it's always really hard to get rid of them, and this would be enormously helpful. Also, mob farms! Should have thought of that!

Dang it, I thought I fixed this. The issue is the capitalization in the texture file name. It doesn't matter in the development version, but it does in the published mod, which is why I didn't see it.
Well, at least summer is rapidly approaching. That should help progress

Sorry if this has already been answered, but how does one pronounce "Foliaath"?
I Care About:
You taking a shower
Minding your own business
Brushing your teeth so your breath don't kick
Eating Fresh Mint so you don't make people pass out
Wearin Clothing and showing cleavage
Pronouncing Foliaath right
And messing around with spamming about 20 useless things
Thank you Thank you it took me some time to make this.

Thanks!
I hope it will. I'm doing a big research project completely unrelated to this, but I should still have more time for modding.

The original pronunciation was FOL-ee-ayth, but everyone has come to pronounce it fol-AI-eth. Both are fine. Anything else will be punished by death.
Not quite, no. I'll make a means of pacifying them temporarily, and it will be a secret.
I like secrets. Most of the content in the far future will be hidden.
Lol ok, thanks for the feedback

I've just released a small bug fix update! This should fix the server crash, the baby foliaath crash, and despawning issues.
Good idea. I'll remember to add this soon.
Yeah,Bug Fixes! Now My Foliaath Is To Life
Uh, Mowzie? Also, didn't this happen last update as well?
Same thing happened to me :/ I looked through the texture files, and it's there, just not showing up in game

I'll have it fixed tonight.
Alright, see if the textures are working now.
Everything appears to be working. Did you increase the Foliaaths damage? It didn't use to be able to kill cows with one hit.
The texture for the plant doesn't seem to be working. Never mind, trying a new update.I don't remember. Maybe.
Oh, no, hah! I honestly can't remember if I changed its damage or not.
The first secret is how to defeat the Wroughtnaut.
You definitely did. I just tested it out, and the damage for Foliaaths in normal is 12 (or 6 hearts). Maybe a bit much, Mowzie.

Idk I don't think I did and I'm not changing it.
