I have an idea. How about in the mega taiga, a kind of snake would live in the trees. It would curl around the trees, and spread massive "gliders" like the real flying snake launch to another tree. Should you begin breaking blocks in the tree (This would be indicated by make the snake search for changes in spruce wood below it.) or plain touching it, (An unlikely and stupid scenario.) it will swoop on you with a very powerful attack that blinds and nauseates the player. Should it land this attack, it will begin rapidly biting the player causing one half heart of damage, with a 1% chance to poison. If it fails the inital attack, it will slither away and climb a tree. However, if the player attacks the snake or its offspring, it will relentlessy pursue the player for all eternity, by activating the chunk it's in, it will always chase you and always be moving. However, it doesn't do good in high temperatures, losing speed, power, and eventually interest. In colder temperature than the mega taiga, it will gain instead, and become more determined, allowing it to chase you into hot biomes if it chases you there. Maybe you could make a mega tree spawn in the mega taiga, and it is guarded by these snakes, barakoa, retextured folliaths, and whatever ent creature you decide to add. I hope you like this idea or at least parts of it.

A gravel barren is left, with only the skeletons of the Zurztles left decaying under the earth. This leaves and opportunity for my next creature...

The Burder:

Essentially a gravel bug. They burrow through the now completely gravel floor, but the can't pass stone. When an unsuspecting player walks over one. It pokes its head out and starts spitting at the player. This does little damage unless it gets a critical hit. This causes an overwhelming amount of damage, as well as attracting more beetles. (AKA, more spawn under the player.) All the beetles begin attacking, weakening the player. If the player should be caught again, they will most certainly die. These insects are not always alone. occasionally, a really deep gravel area will go through the stone. This is a nest. The Burders will defend their young fiercely. The eggs are hidden deep in the nest, but only one egg can fit per gravel block. You can also come across a Burder trap in this barren wasteland. If you fall in, get out quickly, or the prying jaws of a warrior Burder will grab you, taking half your health, then it will drag you into the gravel and suffocate you. This is the only location you can find a warrior Burder other than on the outskirts of the gravel wastelands, as the creatures will patrol outside the biome, any grass or dirt they walk on will turn to gravel, and overtime, that gravel will will turn the dirt under it into gravel, until it reaches stone. The amount of warriors increases everytime an egg hatches. The only way to stop the spread is to kill the queen in a huge battle, not quite a boss, but hard. If you accomplish, the gravel rot will reverse, bringing back the mega taiga, even in the newly spread areas. Of course, in the center, a Zurztle den will grow in the middle. The queen will die instantly after the the gravel infection has doubled in size ever since the gravel barrens originally formed. Rarely, a gravel barrens biome will spawn naturally, where the queen will not die naturally., but the gravel will not spread. Killing the queen in natural biomes will only cause a new one to spawn in a day's time.

I can't edit this into my new post, so I'm putting it here as you never responded. Also, I can't believe how similar this new snake is to my old lizard thing post. Please only add one, and make the snake, if you choose it, make its home like the lizard instead of just circling a tree.

How about something similar to the lurchthorns from Kid Icarus? The lurchthorns are basically some sort of flying fish made of a head and several segments connected together by a spine. The segments are actually turrets which fire at you and can be destroyed,which of course means it won't fire anymore. Destroying a segment may make it have less weaponry,but to actually kill one,you need to target its head to kill it. If you destroy the head, the rest of the mob is destroyed as well.The spine is just basically holding all the segments and head together and it cannot be targeted.

Now I'm not really suggesting for the exact lurchthorn itself but maybe something similar to its battle style like maybe some sort of serpent with some type of stone that buffs the serpent itself and can be destroyed.

I feel like these ideas are a bit disjointed. The ray can poison, electrocute, AND strangle you? You have to omit abilities or features from mobs, otherwise they will become too convoluted and each mob will become rather similar.

First I have to figure out how to make a good "serpent" or "worm" mob in Minecraft...

You should try a putting a guideline for suggestions on the front page. Then, for those who never read the front pages of mods, simply redirect them there.

I feel it would be much easier for you than having to personally explain it to everyone.
