Is there a way to increase the frequency of streams generating? Or will there be an option to replace all normal rivers with streams?
Future versions will be more configurable in that respect, but there are always tradeoffs. Each Stream has it's own zone in the world, so more streams mean smaller zones and thus smaller streams. And removing vanilla rivers means removing potential places for Streams to terminate, so you get fewer of them.
Is it possible to have this mod load on a spigot server so players dont need forge to join?
I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Spigot and how easy/hard it is to develop for. But I get the impression that it is server-only, which would be a problem since Streams blocks need to exist client-side in order to get their "fixed" flow directions. A server-only Streams would have only static water blocks except in the few places it actually goes down a level, and thus not be very exciting to look at.
Would it be possible to get Streams working with Dooglamoo Worlds? I'm not sure which end would need to be modified.
Hi Takun, I tested it and yeah it seems that Streams don't generate in Dooglamoo worlds. Is that mod open-source? Without the source code I wouldn't be able to investigate or make a custom hook for it.

Is there anyway to make this mod a "Spigot Plugin" Similar to how Biome Bundle has and can be used as a plugin on a spigot server. Would be cool if you added this compatibility :0 Especially since 1.13 is soon arriving!

Note this last change - starting from this release you should get shader support for river blocks out of the box without copying a file around, assuming your versions of OptiFine and your shaderpack and reasonably recent. Special thanks to InsomniaKitten for letting me know about this feature.
As usual, have fun and let me know of any issues with the new release. Cheers!
I'm still not getting biome water colors with streams. Actually, I do, but only portions at certain angles. It's difficult to explain - There's a screenshot attached. The green portions represent what the biome water color should be.
Interestingly these stream angles also freeze when it's cold enough, and ONLY these stream angles. Looks kinda weird.
If you need more help diagnosing let me know. My personal modpack has 120 mods so it'll take some time to find the offending incompatibility but I'm hoping the screenshot gives you an immediate clue.
The pack has been in testing and refinement for many months, and today it goes Gold!
The server opens at 6pm MST we hope you can join us for this historic occasion.
What does the pack include?
Guns! Self building buildings! Spaceships you can fly! Quests! Ships with helicopters to loot! Military bases to raid! Bees! Lots of Beees! Over 50,000 blocks to build with!! Server Events!
The bottom line is this pack was made to be the ultimate Town building(towny) pack.
Just another heads up - You may want to check this against the latest Forge version (2512) because I'm getting a missing method crash with Farseek.
Thanks DraxisWuf, this is caused by an internal change in Forge 1.12.2-14.23.2.2652. I will release a fix in the next few days, meanwhile please use Forge 1.12.2-14.23.2.2651 or earlier. You can track the issue here. Thanks!

Hi players, this crash is now fixed in Farseek 2.2.5. The file is still under review in CurseForge while I'm typing this, but I have to step AFK now so hopefully it goes through without issues. :-)
Is there any way to prevent Vanilla rivers from generating in my world? I want Streams only, no silly stagnant rivers. I get that this would result in less places for the streams to end, but maybe you could add lakes or something for them to end at instead.
Hey, I'm making a private modpack server and while Streams works flawlessly clientside, I can't get any river to spawn on the server (standard Biomes O' Plenty World). (the modpack is 1.12.2)
I've looked around to see if I could find any reason but I couldn't even find others having this issue either.
Is there something I should be looking for or is this a bug?
Thank you in advance
(PS: I may be a newbie on the forums but I have been playing modded on and off since 1.4.6)

This isn't a bad idea. Maybe something like 1-in-16 of the stream cells can have a "forced stream", that terminates in a large lake added by Streams, or if Streams can find a "low ground biome" (typically swamps, ocean, etc) within 4 chunks of the mouth, it just forceably extends the stream to the appropriate place.
A quick-and-simple check for the low biome, not an exhaustive search, would be all that is needed. If you find one, then a "simulated annealing walk" towards the mouth will do a reasonable job of finding where to target to. Then, you would just place your stream tiles down to head there (either a series of gentle curves if it's not straight, or a series of straights, as needed. You probably know this part better than I do.)

Feature request for 1.12.2: Now that Mystcraft is "mostly stable", and has the porting bugs fixed and a confirmed working API, can you please register a "Flowing Streams" symbol that would enable your streams to show up in ages / not show up if the symbol is not present?
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?

Just updated to the latest snapshot of Forge and noticed streams no longer take on the biome's water color - Just a heads up.
Thanks for letting me know! Do you have a sample seed and coordinates I could check for this?

Hey Its_Craft, seems like you asked this same question before, I answered upthread: https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding-java-edition/minecraft-mods/2346379-streams-real-flowing-rivers?comment=695. Cheers!

It'd be neat to have lava streams in the nether. Kinda' pointless, but still neat.
I play 1.12.2, but absolutely agree with this. Would love to have rivers and such be removed in favor of your streams.
