Thanks for the speedy reply, xchow. From the code I've looked at in other (open source) mods, they are automatically assigning the next available potion ID's rather than relying on config options that can get messy to maintain. I've downloaded 1.5 and will check it out.
Ah okay and just message me back if theres any issues with 1.5
I checked out 1.5 with Hunger Overhaul b4 and I'm still having the Munchies conflict with Well Fed. It's mildly amusing to die of starvation every time I eat food.
I really like the concept of this mod, especially adding in the various prescription medications. This definitely helps to complete an map in a modern setting. Potions are quite a magical concept and I'd like to be able to fill a medicine cabinet with non/prescription medications instead.
Some suggestions for additional medicines:
ibuprofen
aspirin
vicodin / norco
morphine (syringe injection)
epi-pen (epinephrine)
The first couple would be for completeness over function as they would basically be a duplication in function of acetaminophen.

These will be considered / a few of them are planned and also vicodin is already in the name is Hydrocodone. Also we will work on fixing those conflicts soon sorry for the issue.
Tobacco I note is missing that would be a very nice addition !!
Also syringes Are missing I think all us steves would love injecting some illegal / legal substances into our veins !!
Below is a list of all my ideas !!
Ecstasy
speed, mining fatigue ,nausea, dies quicker in fire/lava
Heroine
Effects - resistance ,nausea,blindness
Morphine
Insta health 1,nausea 1sec
Sugar
Why can you not eat sugar in minecraft ?
The more you eat the faster you go after eating 10 sugar items your begin to get nauseated .
cocaine
You need to give it a prescription as it can be medical drug ( I have had it in a hospital not nice ) !!
Caffeine tablets
Night vision, speed , too many = insta death
More ideas !!
(no more drugs in normal villages ) Have "drug villagers"
which spawn in swamps. This is a special villager who has red eyes ( too much drugs). It spawns in a woollen battered tent . It only trades drugs . Inside the tent is a chest with some drug loot and a bed plus crafting table and furnace !!
Also if normal villagers see you holding any narcotic they run away from you !!
When you take too much of any drug you become addicted . Addicted means that the effects of that certain drug weakens greatly on you but every time you take it there is a risk of
death. If you do not take the addicted drug in a Minecraft day you will get blindness nausea hunger weakens mining fatigue and slowness for two Minecraft days until you become unaddicted.
If you take the addicted drug during the unaddicting phase you will go back to being addicted !!
Finally you should remove milk curing the effects of drugs how on earth would a bucket of milk cure munchies my I ask ?
I an terribly sorry for boring you I could go on and on and on ( don't let me ) !!
Syringes should be already in 1.5 and the milk effect thing should be added soon. To answer about villagers we will be adding new ones soon but we will still leave the over the counter trades in there along with the coin for item trades. If you want you can give us the rest of your ideas we don't mind.
1.5.1 should fix mod compatibility issues and also will be containing new content. Be sure to look for it later today
Was 1.5.1 released? I didn't see updates on Curse. In the meantime, I found a workaround that allows me to use Narcotics+ 1.5 with HungerOverhaul. I created an mcmod.info and added it into the Narcotics+ zip, and set it up to treat HungerOverhaul as an optional dependency so Narcotics+ gets loaded first and HungerOverhaul picks potion effects that don't conflict.

Ah I had spoke to soon we decided to take that back since we needed to finish a few more things before uploading. Also thanks for sharing that work around for other people to use it for a temp solution
I have a suggestion for ore dictionary entries to make it easier for mod developers to use:
Include drugs into super-groups of entries, for example:
All OTC drugs go into drugsOTC
All Prescription go into drugsPrescription
And so on and so forth. I can make this happen with MineTweaker3, but it would be nice to have the support built-in if possible, so it's not necessary to fiddle with the MT scripts every release of Narcotics+.
Unrelated, I'm still having the Well Fed/Munchies conflict with 1.6 so I'm still using the mcinfo workaround.

That is a good idea and that will be worked on soon. Also i'll put out of a bugfix soon for the well fed.
Please don't go to 1.8 but besides that i'm loving it, also a couple of stuff that would LOVE to see; DMT, Mescaline, 25I-NBOH, Phencyclidine (PCP), Ariadne (a-Et-DOM), and maybe some type of Bromo?

I'm thinking I might just stay on 1.7.10 because it seems like 1.8 has some very quirky things bout it but we do play on a 1.8 build when its time.
