Thank you so much for making this mod; I was able to get rid of several others because Loot++ takes care of all their features (and in one case does a much better job)!
I mostly use it for adding recipes, but I just hit a use case where I would like to remove a furnace/smelting recipe, due to a mod conflict. However, when I open the furnace_recipes.cfg, I don't see a remove section. Does this feature exist in the 1.7.10 version? If so, what is the syntax?
This mod really is the perfect one, would be so nice to see a 1.10.2 version, but I don't wanna hesitate though.
Actually, I've decided not to update this mod to 1.9/1.10. There have been too many changes to the way loot works in the game.
However, don't despair! I'm working on a new loot mod right now, which will make use of the new loot system (and even add new features =D). Then I'll make a second mod using that, that will let you add new items/such to the game (again, with awesome new features if all goes well). I'll be sure to post here when I finish them, so keep a sharp eye out for them!

Hey, it's been a while since I've looked at the 1.7 version (and an not actively supporting it), but if I remember correctly, you can just set the number of items to 0 in the default_smelting_recipes section to disable an existing furnace recipe.
Thanks very much, especially since you've stopped official support. My bad for not reading the whole file after I didn't find the expected "remove" section.
Looking forward to your new mod once I get out of lockdown hell; kudos on sticking with an incredibly useful category of mod. :-)
Hmm, odd. I know the drops won't work if you can't "harvest" the block (like trying to break stone with your fist). I wonder if that's what's happening. I'm not sure how it works (since it's not a vanilla block). Does it work if you use shears on the leaves?
How does one approach making a mob drop any metadata variant of a particular item without causing multiple drops of the item in question? Also, without affecting other drops.
EX: I want to make Thaumcraft furious zombies have a rare chance of dropping a shard, but the shard type be random.
Hey, might just be a mistake on my part (or maybe my computer) but when I try and go to the link to download the 1.8 version it tells me that "The Website is Offline" and that I should "Retry for Live Version" Also says "Error 522: Connection Timed Out"
Help? Not really sure what to do, but I'm a bit of a noob with this stuff. :I

No, sadly, you can't randomize the metadata for an item drop (though you will be able to in Loot Overhaul =P). You might be able to add them individially though; I forget what version I added it in, but try separating different entries with a %%%%%.

Yeah, I don't want to leave you guys without an official download for any longer. I gave the guy until tomorrow to respond, so I'll put up the downloads when I get up tomorrow (unless he responds by then... which is unlikely at this point).

are we looking at a 1.10.2 version in the future? great mod keep up the good work!!
can you please please please update to 1.10??
Please refrain from asking this as it was just asked, I am pretty sure modders know about the wondrous (and too frequent) updates.
I know you didn't put it in question form but please refrain from mentioning, as it was already mentioned.

Anybody know how to give yourself modded items like these? Im in 1.8.9
Hmm, no clue... there's nothing in this mod that should be causing that.
Haha, well I am currently making a successor mod, but it's always better to have your own mod. =D
Hey, in what way does it not work? Does it say anything in chat with the problem notifications?
No, I'm not planning to.
Ah, good to hear!

The commands only run on the server, so if there are item effects and such that are only on the client, they will not run.

Yeah, the guy who owns the website still hasn't responded. If he doesn't respond in three days, I'll move the downloads.
Has it been down for 3 days yet? I have been checking on it for two. Trying to get the version for 1.8 for my daughters.
