yShaders - Shaders for Macs and computers with Intel Graphics! [DISCONTINUED]
Poll: Out of five, how would you rate yShaders?
Ended May 2, 2015

i cant see the screen shots.. here the video that why it crashed here watched it please
and reply if you need the codes on error in launcher
Okay, so I think I've figured it out. The 1.8 version of the shaders mod is not compatible with Optifine yet, as it is still in alpha. If you uninstall Optifine, that should correct the issue. Also, earlier today a new version of the shaders mod was released. May as well update to the new version while you're at it.
Still no luck here. I tried comparing it with CUDA. How do I adjust the values of your Shadow Map Resolution? Maybe if I set it to 256, it might change somehow.
You're from the future !? And Macs are crappy on Year 2104 !? (Just kidding! You mistyped 2014.)
In the "Shaders..." menu, turn up the "ShadowResMulti" option. That will increase the shadow resolution.
Hmm. This is strange. I actually have the same model MacBook as you, and yShaders work just fine for me. I even use the *exact* same Minecraft setup that you do. I honestly don't know what could be causing this. You could try updating your Java, and maybe updating your OS will help, but beyond that, I have no clue.
Did you mean you're going to wait until it's out of alpha? If not, the version you are using now is alpha, and the new version just fixes some bugs, so it's really just the same, but a bit better.
i tried again on 2.4.4 without optifine still the same problem...
hi tamniche. would you mind trying CUDA Shaders? because if that one works for you, then we might have connected problems. let's work together to find a solution.
I'm using Java 8, update 25. I'm also using a custom automator script to launch Minecraft. And no, nobody should ever use Java 6 on a Mac, unless it's for compatibility purposes. I do have Yosemite, but I don't think you running Mavericks would be a problem. If anything, an upgrade to Yosemite will just slow your computer down, but you'd barely notice much of a difference anyways on a Retina MBP.
Good luck getting everything to work!
Version 2.1 has been released with improvements to the water shader!
im using java 8 update 25 latest
Version 2.2 has been released with improved color vibrancy and brightness enhancements!
it says "Shaders Initilized", I dont crash or anything like that.
Im sure this is a problem with my computer.
(Specs. if needed)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3330s CPU @ 2.70GHz
RAM: 8.00 GB
System Type: 64-bit OS, x64-based processor
It's probable that you put the downloaded .zip file directly into the shaderpacks folder. You do not want to do this. Instead, extract the .zip file and put the folders that were inside the .zip file into the shaderpacks folder instead. So basically you want to have 4 folders in your shaderpacks folder, instead of one .zip file.
Oh yhea it worked! Thanks
Oh, and my PC specs: Dell inspiron 3000 series laptop, Windows 7 Pro, 8 GB ram, Intel core i5 processor @ 1.7-2.7 GHz, Intel HD graphics with 64 MB dedicated video memory. Let me know if you need more specs.
Fixed as of version 2.3.
It still gives me problems. I can see the silhouettes of the mobs underground like i have x ray vision. but i don't see the caverns anymore. which is nice.
the trees are transparent.
