sorry if i missed this but is it possible to set up ore spawning so iron can only be found in sedimentary rocks and copper in igneous rocks and so on.
Not presently. Ore spawning is not geology specific in this mod (for the sake of simplicity). That may become a feature in the future.

Can you oredict Minerology's granite, diorite and andesite and their polished versions with their vanilla counterparts? Also, the various bricks to stone brick? I believe this would allow better compatibility with and conversion between types with the Chisel mod.
Very nice. But I have a problem with ores generation. GregTech mod always uses the transparent textures for ores. And they looks nice in every resourcepack. But there I see ores in Nether-style. Isn't it strange?

Dr.Cyano! Hey, sorry for pestering you too much but I just want to get these suggestions off my chest since I'm a huge fan of your mods. Anyway, you have a metals mod, but you don't have a gems mod, this would be extremely awesome and would be great for combining it with mineralogy and base metals... Also, I do think it would be amazing if you put together a modpack with all of your mods and put it up for download...since they all fit together quite nicely.
I would like to use this mod in 1.10.2, but I understand you have things to do, so would it be fine if I ported this mod to 1.10.2? I want to make an unofficial port to 1.10.2 on Curse so that I and other people can use it in mod packs, and I'll link back to the original as well.
If you don't want other people posting your mod, I understand. But if you are fine with it I can post a 1.10.2 version on curse so people can use it until you either get around to making an official update or drop the mod or whatever you plan to do with it.

1.9.4 mods mostly work in 1.10.2. This mod already works in 1.10.2.
This is to DrCyano, any chance for the vanilla ore textures to match the rock they are around? kinda off putting for realism when ore blocks are a completely different color/shade from the surrounding layers of rock

Oh, really? I guess I'll use that version then.
The second thing might be difficult to do, either add variants of each ore, or have a dynamic texture (which might require a TileEntity, I'm not sure)

Would it be possible to add a config that re-enables the vanilla textures?
I honestly have no clue at this time, You should however be able to make a local texture pack which uses the vanilla textures over the mineralogy ones.
you have done an excellent job with this mod... especially with texture pack... i liked how you set up the mod along with options of having texture from 16 to 128x.. so i took 128x
Hi, maybe it's something that was already solved, I'm stuck on 1.8.9 due to crayfish furniture and the little things.
How would I go about getting the little things to use the mineralogy stone types?, At the moment all the nice things like diorite walls etc can't be crafted...

Any chance we can get BOP compatibility?

Good to know, you should put that on the OP

I would love suggestions on complimentary resource packs that go well with the Mineralogy Resource pack. I keep trying one that fits and failing.

I tested 3.1.0 on Minecraft 1.10, on Client and Server, and it works great! I didn't find any bug yet.

I see that you call the areas Geologic Biomes. After playing TerraFirmaCraft, I started calling them Geomes. I think it has a certain ring to it.
Fantastic mod. I've been a rock hound most of my life and this really makes me happy.
