I wanted to use a builder to clear a large area of blocks (about 100x60x40). I defined the area using a void shape card, first clicking the builder and then the two corners of the area, and put the card into the builder. The shape card within the builder gui correctly showed the coordinates of the defined area. Then I gave it power and a redstone signal - and nothing happened. No power was used, no blocks were removed.
What am I doing wrong?
This was v4.23 for Minecraft 1.7.10 (I take it the 1.7.10 version is frozen and won't get any more updates?)

What shape are you using? Keep in mind that 'box' is only the outside. You need 'solid box' for the entire shape.

McJty, now, i have updated to 1.8.9 because there is no 1.8 version, the oher mods got updated to 1.8.9 and now i can't craft mob dimlets. When Itry to craft them, my game crashes. And the liquid absorber absorbs fluid, but it doesn't show up as percent and I can't craft with it. I don't wan't to update to 1.10 because buildcraft or other rf producing mods are not updated. So I can't create energy for the builder and other stuff for dimensions.
P.S. sorry for bad english, i'm german

I assume this is for 1.7.10? You have to place a computer next to the screen controller. And then you can do the commands like addtext() and so on. This should be documented better. I will do that once I start re-implementing CC/OC support in the 1.9.4/1.10 versions

The screen controller range is now a 64x64x64 cube instead of 64x32x64
It is now possible to setup a storage control module directly by clicking items into empty slots. No need to open the GUI for this
The storage control module now has an oredict option. Enabling that will allow you to insert (for example) different variants of copper through one slot
Screen modules can now show tooltips specific to the module. WAILA and TOP supports this for the storage control module so that you can see what item you are looking at
Only show RF/t in probe in extended mode (sneaking)
Storage changes:
The storage control module screen module can now also be combined with a storage tablet (put tablet + module in crafting grid) for remote access. For as long as the linked storage scanner is chunk loaded (or within range) you can access everything that is accessible from that scanner with that
Storage modules can be named in anvil (that was already possible). The storage scanner as well as the WAILA/TOP tooltips for modular storage blocks will now show that name so that you can find the right storage block more easily
The tooltip for the dimension control button in the remote storage block has improved a bit
If you have a tablet with a storage module in it then opening that will have working tooltips for the items in the list (just like the tooltips you get when opening the regular modular storage GUI)
Many improvements to the storage scanner:
The GUI has been improved to allow more visible items as well as more visible inventories. Tooltips are used to clarify what an inventory is
In addition to the 'U' and 'D' buttons (to move an inventory up or down) there are now also 'T' and 'B' buttons (top and bottom) to move an inventory all the way up or down
The list of items is much cleaner now and allows for single item interaction (selecting an item no longer selects the entire line)
The list of items shows correct item tooltips now in addition to some scanner specific help on how to request that item
Double click requests an item stack (like it did before), Shift double click requests a single item
New crafting grid support for modular storage blocks, the storage tablet and the storage scanner:
This grid is a side window on the left
It can remember 6 recipes. these are stored in the tablet/modular storage block or in the storage scanner block (also when combined with a tablet)
It has four buttons to craft items (1, 4, 8 or stack). If you press such a button it will try to craft that many items given what is available in your inventory and also in the block that you are viewing. If this is a storage scanner it will try to use items out of all routable (marked with the star) inventories
Hovering your mouse over such a button will highlight (in red) the items that are missing to do that crafting operation
Crafter changes:
The auto crafter now correctly works with getRemainingItems() which is the new vanilla way to handle containers or items that remain after crafting. By supporting this properly dupes (with Reliquary for example) and item deleting (with Chisel & Bits for example) have been fixed
The ghost slots in the crafter no longer get cleared when changing recipe settings
Support for new ExtC mode in the crafter. In this mode it will place the craft result in the output buffer but all intermediates (buckets, whatever) it will keep in the internal inventory
The crafter now also supports meta better for recipes
The crafter is now more flexible and will try out more possible items to find a working recipe
Implemented JEI integration for the crafter. This means you can now click recipes into the grid automatically
Elevator changes:
Elevator blocks now gives a redstone signal at its back when there is a platform there

I am having an issue with sending text to a screen via computercraft. My code is as follows:

It prints the text to the screen but all on the first line, the '\n' shows up as an 'LF' in a box. How can I go to the next line?

A single text module can only show a single line. You need several text modules to have multiple lines. This is not very flexible I'm afraid

The Builder will no longer discard items when it has no suitable inventory on top or below it. Due to a bug in McJtyLib it would keep on working as a quarry and simply discard all quarried items. With the new McJtyLib the Builder will properly pause if there is no inventory on top or below (or if there is not enough room). Requires McJtyLib 1.9.8
Changed the default for autofocusSearch to false for modular storage. That means that (if you clear the rftools config) the search bar for modular storage will no longer be automatically selected
Changed the default for clearSearchOnOpen to true for modular storage. That means that the search bar will be cleared if you close and reopen the modular storage GUI
Important: Fundamentally changed how the GUI of the crafter works so that it works better with JEI integration. To edit a recipe you now have to double click. Single clicking the recipe list has no effect. Also changing settings on a recipe (including the 'Ext' and 'All' buttons) now require you to press 'Apply' before they are saved
Fixed a bug in the crafter where it would craft recipes that require exact metadata but the crafter would still allow it to craft with items using other metadata. So for example if a recipe needed ink sacs then it would also work with lapis
Increased the bonus you get from a fully infused endergenic generator a bit

Liquid absorbers should now work fine on modded liquids. The JEI tooltips now shows the correct liquid and absorbing them works. Also the dimlet workbench can now create dimlets out of them. Hey, so I really love your mod. However I have a problem with the reciever/transmitters I can't solve or understand. Can anyone help me?
Direwolf20 modpack version 1.7.10 is what I am playing on.
I made 2 dialers, recievers, and transmitters. They have full power so that isnt the issue. The transmitter will teleport me from point A to point B. However, when I try to transmit back from point B to point A it won't work. The dialer in point B says that A is too far to hlight. (highlight I am guessing).
How is it I am close enough to teleport TO but TOO FAR to be able to teleport back?!
I've tried moving it, giving it more power, breaking and replacing, renaming the reciever points. No luck. The dialer in point B refuses to allow me to dial to that location (point A). Does anyone know how to fix this? Is there a device to boost the signal back? or is this just a glitch and I am SOL?

A quick few questions regarding the shield projector working with template block.
1. The shield projector counts up all the connected template blocks. Does it connect blocks diagonally(corner to corner) or only along the 6 sides of each block?
2. Is there anything stopping you from placing multiple shield projectors and stitching a bunch of smaller shields together to make 1 really big custom shaped shield?
Hey, i have found a dupe bug in RfTools 1.10-5.06, just place any item, a diamond for example, in to the orange slot of the storage scanner/terminal, and search for the storage scanner/terminal in itself, it will find the diamond in the slot, but if you try to take the item from the list, it will be duped, you can do this as many times as you want, as the item never disappears from the inventory. Here's an image showing what i did
I am having issue with latest 1.10.2 version regarding Elevators. I have 3 levels For some reason in survival i cant go to bottom level but in creative i can. If i switch from creative to survival i can still use bottom level. Its only when i restart game back into survival that it becomes Non-operational. I hope this made sense. I have made sure as well all my screen controllers are within 33 blocks of each other for all 3 levels. Just to make sure i will give the Y levels of the 3 floors. Top ground floor is 73, 2nd Floor is 41, and bottom Floor is 11. Any help would be appreciated.

Strange... Can you show a few screenshots? I have been using elevators like that in several plays and it always works fine for me.

Added protection for the matter transmitter crashing when a player disconnects while in the beam
Added safety for player bounding box being null. Shouldn't be possible but at BTM everything is possible
Fixed the space chamber card gui so that it shows better information and no longer crashes in some cases
Fixed a problem with (elevator) buttons on large screens sometimes not working if you click on the 'dummy' screen part (i.e. the top-left screen is the real screen and the rest are dummies)
Added diagnostics to the builder in case it finds a block that returns invalid itemstacks (null items). That way the quarry no longer crashes but dumps info on screen and in the log

Hey, I have a 1.7.10 server that I admin, and it's is set up a bit differently from normal. We have an RFTools void dimension that everyone lives and builds in.
Several of our users have set up their own ME networks with autocrafting and other various features. When people are playing inside of this dimension, everything is fine and normal. However, once the dimension empties out, either via people logging off or going to other dimensions,then that dimension begins to cause very severe lag that makes the server unplayable. As soon as someone re-enters the dimension, even if they fly 1000 blocks away from anything so that nothing is loaded, then the dimension and the server return to normal.
We had our server hosts profile the dimension while it was causing issues, and they came back and told me that "the increased usage was from Applied Energistics finding matching recipes". They also attached this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/DLyt6XQ.png
I'm not sure where to go from here. I was able to make a copy of the dimension for testing purposes and I found that using World Edit to delete all of the bases that had ME networks did in fact make the lag problem go away in the test dimension, but obviously I'd like to let these users have their bases with their ME networks. I also tried moving the contents of the dimension to The Last Millennium, and noted that things don't lag there. I'd like to use an RFTOOls dimension over TLM, though, since TLM doesn't have a day/night cycle and isn't as easy to work with. If needed, I can provide links to a copy of our modpack and the dimension in question if you need them for testing purposes.
So we discovered yesterday that it's not just RFTools dims that this happens in, but galacticraft's moon dimension as well. So it's not strictly an RFT issue, but probably an AE2 issue. Good thing no one replied to this or anything.

Found another dupe bug, this time with the Storage Drawers mod, if you make the Drawer Controller routable to the storage scanner, and them try to craft something using the items in the drawers, when crafted, the drawer will completely fill with that item, for example, if i craft some item that uses a diamond, and that diamond is in a compacting drawer, when crafted, i will have 400 stacks of blocks of diamonds, when i had only 3 before crafting
Edit: Actually, just found something weird, when crafted the item, it fills the drawer only to the next upgrade level if there is one, so if the drawer has all the upgrades, you have to craft 5 items, weird
This bug has been reported and is under investigation. It is currently unclear if it is a bug in rftools or in storage drawers.

Hey, I have a 1.7.10 server that I admin, and it's is set up a bit differently from normal. We have an RFTools void dimension that everyone lives and builds in.Several of our users have set up their own ME networks with autocrafting and other various features. When people are playing inside of this dimension, everything is fine and normal. However, once the dimension empties out, either via people logging off or going to other dimensions,then that dimension begins to cause very severe lag that makes the server unplayable. As soon as someone re-enters the dimension, even if they fly 1000 blocks away from anything so that nothing is loaded, then the dimension and the server return to normal.We had our server hosts profile the dimension while it was causing issues, and they came back and told me that "the increased usage was from Applied Energistics finding matching recipes". I was able to make a copy of the dimension for testing purposes and I found that using World Edit to delete all of the bases that had ME networks did in fact make the lag problem go away in the test dimension, but obviously I'd like to let these users have their bases with their ME networks. I also tried moving the contents of the dimension to The Last Millennium, and noted that things don't lag there. I'd like to use an RFTOOls dimension over TLM, though, since TLM doesn't have a day/night cycle and isn't as easy to work with. If needed, I can provide links to a copy of our modpack and the dimension in question if you need them for testing purposes.So we discovered yesterday that it's not just RFTools dims that this happens in, but galacticraft's moon dimension as well. So it's not strictly an RFT issue, but probably an AE2 issue. Good thing no one replied to this or anything.
