talking of removed weapons made think that if anyone knows if there are addons that add more weapons? because my favorite weapons the battle axe and javelin(i really think that the javelin could be great now that the weight stats were removed) where removed
Maybe not for Tinker's, but Reforged is a great mod, basically a port of Balkon's Weapon mod. Tinker's Compendium has some other stuff, and even its own materials, including valyrian steel from GoT.
Balkon's weapon mod is a great weapon mod, It has some not too OP weapon can use, Althrough the original modder was vanished a long time, You can still get the unofficial updated version from the post: (See here for the 1.8+ version)
For the Reforged, When I first heard, I was very exciting and installed this mod, But after that, I quickly removed that because some reason: (See the reason I dislike this mod)
Hello! This is my favorite Minecraft mod by far, because of the number of possibilities of weapons alone. I love making different tool sets with different metals. I mostly play in the 1.7.10 version, but the forge version will not launch anymore. I have done some research and concluded that the web support for forge 1.7.10 is no longer active. So I looked for some mods with ore additions and couldn't find one that was both compatible and didn't add in extra stuff like mobs. Is it possible for the team to make an optional add on with all the old ores? If so, being able to make my favorite combinations again would make my whole year! If the team doesn't want to, then could you at least point me in the direction of a good ore mod compatible with T construct?

Something something Base Metals? It's a WIP mod, so expect some hitches, but the mod adds, among other materials, copper, tin an aluminium (sorry ) and should work quite well with Tinkers' Construct.
Instead of aluminium, the mod adds zinc, which can be combined with copper to make Brass, which can also be used for TiC casts if I am not mistaken.

Installed Tinkers Construct again after years. Like the traits, seems to be an improvement over the previous "manyullun head, slime handle, paper crossguard FTW" system.
I also like how third party materials actually became useful. Twilight Forest Steeleaf is a decent swordblade material. (Though not sure if this is from the base mod or Pewter)
Though I still think manyullun is overpowered. It's not that hard to get, and still objectively the best material for tools and melee weapons. IMO, it needs some kind of downside. Or does it actually have one, which I just didn'd notice? It could be especially slow, for example. Or make various regenerative modifiers (especially the ones which use external power sources, like mana, RF, or vis) especially expensive.
In general, there could be something like: Materials can be fast, hard, durable. Pick two. Where "hard" means either damage or mining level.
A lightweight and sharp could be brittle.
A lightweight but durable material might be so because it bends instead of breaking, making sharp edges useless.
A durable and rigid material could be very dense, making it difficult to swing.
Set up my smeltery and all was working well with ore doubling. Was doubling iron ingots, but now it is no longer doubling. Can't figure out what I have done differently.

I couldn't find a thread for Pewter, so I'll ask here. The mods are related, after all:
I used pewter to add Jade from Erebus as a Tconstruct material. I wanted to give it Bane of Arthropods, and did it like this:
"HEAD": [
"bane_of_arthopods"
],
It kinda worked: the trait is visible on the tool parts and the weapons, but it's at +0 bonus damage against spiders. It seems like I gave it an "empty" level of bane of arthropods, which can now be filled up with spider eyes without costing a modifier.
Is there a way to give the material a "full" level?
Hi juste question this mod isn't compatible to Mcpc+ cauldron 1.7.10 ?
I honestly don't think that anyone here remembers such a specific compatibility from so many years ago.
And I can't think of a better place to ask either. :/

Need help with ore doubling. noob level.
tia
never mind got it...lol
the smeltery has a max size? i try do a smeltery of 10x3x3 but didnt work but it works with 9x3x3
They do have a max size.
I think that it's a content of 9 blocks in each direction. So 9 x 9 x 9 = 729 blocks.

Yes, Smeltery have max size. Not sure for TiCon 2, for TiCon 1 it's 11x11 outer dimensions (9x9 inner).
The height is near unlimited as far as I recall. Probably 255 effective height.
I do not understand why anybody would have a need for such a big smeltery, but whatever
Yes, I AM a Vampire. Nice of you to notice.
Why is that box so big? What do you mean I should stop breaking the fourth wall?

Are you going to add support for the advent of ascension mod?
Hey, I just want to say thank you for the awesome mod!
Are TinkersWorkshop still in this mod? They don't seem to generate and I can't find any config files for them.
If you mean the villager house, yes it is still in. It doesn't generate in all villages, so I would advise you to keep looking for them.
I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
