Do you plan on adding any more animals or custom tails or anything later on? This mod is very cool but feels a little limited, model-wise, at the moment
I do! It justs a while to create a model, then a texture, then animate it so it looks and feels differrent so it does take some time ^^ However if you wanna see what future tails I have planned, check out this spreadsheet
This MOD is causing a serious connection failure when installed for Multiplayer mode on a LAN network.
If I install this mode and launch my Single Player World, then open it to LAN for my kids to join me from their computers, we get "Connection Failure" or a "exception ioexception" Error.
We are running:
MC 1.7.10
Forge forge 10.13.0.1208
FoxLib-1.7.10-0.4.0
Tails-1.7.10-1.0.0
We tried this on multiple computers, both MAC and PC, and tried changing the Forge ver, and even just installing JUST the Tails and Foxlib mob by its self. Same issue. The mod is causing LAN Multiplayer connection issues.

I need some more information. Can you upload your fml logs (<minecraft dir>/logs/fml-client-latest.log and fml-server-latest.log) to Pastebin? I'm unable to replicate the issue you're having. Can you also tell me if any tails have been set prior?
yeah no, 1.7.10 does rendering a bit different I think and the only way to get it to work with 1.7 is a complicated process for a version that not many people use any more

Hey all,
I posted Tails 1.0.1 and FoxLib 4.0.1 as beta last night but they both seem to be working fine so gonna officially release them! Both are just small bug fix updates, change logs below
Hey, I really enjoyed your mod! It's one of those mods that I could see in a lot of people using, those who have animal skins, etc :). Anyways, I made a mod showcase, and it would be awesome if you could put it on the main post, but if you can't that's cool too :). So thanks for making this mod, and I can't wait for more updates! :3
As well as an option to make the tails smooth instead of blocky.
How would I make the wolf tail different? More pointy at the end? Different texture?
As for the smooth, probably never gonna happen. Wouldn't be able to animate "smooth" models without some seriously weird code.
I know this mod is about tails but some ears/antlers would make this better than it already is. I don't know if there already is a mod for ears/antlers, but if there is then pls let me know.
Ears are planned! They're not gonna be a main focus right now, current focus is adding better/moving animations and more tails but I do wanna do ears as well ^^
I'm confused, what do I need to do to setup multiplayer support (if the server doesn't have the mod). I tried exporting and then uploading to my minecraft profile, but it turned me to the default Steve skin. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Hmm, it's possible the export failed. Does your exported skin look like Steve (when you just open up the PNG)? For some reason, at times it doesn't realise you have a skin and defaults to the Steve skin but a restart should fix that. Also of course, you are running Tails 1.0.1 and FoxLib 4.0.1?

You should try the More Player Models 2 Mod. It works with this mod and even follows scale changes on the player (Tail stays attached)

Thanks for all the hard work
Open your inventory, you should see at the bottom the "Tails editor" button, if not, you may be using NEI, disable it with O for the editor to appear
