I was able to do something quite cool with your mod.
I am not sure if you or anyone has done something like this before, or if this is a known ability.
So far I am loving this mod and it is very cool. The only thing that bugs me is the jumping mechanics now.
I tend to struggle sometimes jumping up blocks when I am in a tunnel or going up the side of a mountain.
Due to the fact that the whole movement style in the game has changed, but there is nothing I can really do about that, it's just the way it is.
Back on topic.
Basically for anyone using this mod you can essentially glide with the elytra forever.
The way this works is pretty much abusing one of the abilities in this mod.
Which allows you to turn horizontal velocity, into vertical velocity once you hit the ground. (When sneaking of course)
(This method works better if you jump off something a couple blocks high, but it still works on flat ground.)
To do this:
- You sprint then jump.
- Hold the sneak button while you are falling.
- Once you are about to hit the ground mash jump, you should get a bit of air.
- Then, you must mash your jump key again to trigger your elytra.
- When you manage to activate your elytra, you will glide for a short period. It may be only for a second, but it is just enough to gain a bit more velocity on your next launch.
- Repeat the process of mashing your jump key right before you hit the ground after you have activated your elytra.
Take note that you still need to be holding sneak right before you hit the ground so you can press the jump key to activate another launch effect. I recommend holding it the whole time.
The more you repeat this, the faster and farther you will go.
Careful, because diving too hard can just hurt you and stop you completely.
I found this works best when launching off of ice.
Haha, I found the same thing while making sure Elytra would still work with Squake. From what I gathered, you can only trigger the Elytra when you are falling down, so if you wait to use it until you start coming down from your jump, you'll trigger it every time.
Squeek would there be any possibility for you to make it so i can use W to move forward in the air, since its so annoying with simply jetpacks and my thaumcraft jumpy boots (1.7.10 please!!!)

Unfortunately that's not how this movement system works. Not sure what I can do about that.
Probably not going to happen. Surfing is a somewhat complicated combination of many different mechanics that don't transfer very well to Minecraft (sloped surfaces that are too steep to stand on, and how velocity is clipped on sloped surfaces), so any implementation would have to be a very rough approximation that I don't think would be worth it.
I have alot of trouble with downloading this mod. just to clarify i do have Forge installed and my profile is set on the forge version
But when i start minecraft up it stops me and says the following: ''Squake is missing mods it depends on. Include the following mods or remove squake PlayerAPI: any see 'fml-client-latest.log' for technical information'' If anybody on here can help me out fix this i would be very very gratefull

Movement feels stiff, more than even csgo's bhop. is there anyway to make it more like nghl or css bhop servers?
Set airAccelerate in the config to whatever value CS:S bhop servers use. The defaults are based on what games like Team Fortress Classic use.
Squake requires Player API to be installed.
