This mod gives you a 18 slot hot bar. By default this is rendered as two rows of 9, but can be changed in the config to be 1 row of 18. The upper slot is taken from your top row of inventory items.
There are 3 ways to select an item in the 9 new slots:
Scroll the mouse wheel
Double tap the number key for the slot below it (i.e. double tap '1' for 10th slot)
Hold a modifier key while pressing the number key (ctrl by default).
The config file can be changed in-game. Allowing you to switch between stacked mode and long mode and number of hotbars on the fly.
I installed the mod this morning, but I had a problem with itbecause this mod adds 2 hotbars all the menus get shifted up, but the area for buttons that you need to press remains at the same spot
I tried changing the configuration so there's just 1 large horizontal hotbar, but for some reason the configuration file was completely empty
I'm not sure what buttons you're talking about, maybe post a screenshot.
As for the config, if you're running the 1.7.10 version you can change the config ingame through the mods button on the main menu. Either way, I will look into the problem of the blank config.
hmm, the button issue seems to be gone as I can now click the buttons at the location they're at, but everything still gets shifted
here's a screenshot of it happening
it might be a good idea to mention that on 1.7.10 the configurations can be changed through the mod menu, without that I wouldn't have known where to look for it
also, when changed to the full horizontal bar, the problem seems to be fixed
forge and mods
and I already tried removing Optifine, as that's the usual suspect, but that did not help
EDIT: I just had the button problem again and took a screenshot
the mouse is actually at the white spot (screenshots don't render mouse cursors so I had to to add a dot)
I have to have the mouse at the dot to be able to click on the quit button

Hmm, Ok, I understand how this could happen now, I'll have to look through you're mods and see which one is effecting the rendering.

Hey man I am loving the mod I was the one on curseforge to ask for a 1.6.4 version and it is working beautifully , but there is only one issue and its not that bad just a bit annoying because it is hard to read the items names in the hotbar because the words need to be a bit higher there all in the health bar and stuff . Don't know if its only a issue for the 1.6.4 version or not .
Yes, that's exactly what happened. I was calling it, but in setting up the config gui somehow it disappeared. As for the rendering, do you happen to have Tinkers Construct installed, there is a rendering conflict that I just now fixed.
This is pretty sweet! I have one suggestion however for the double-tap key configuration: Dbl-tapping 1 will put the selection into the upper 1 space, but tapping one again does not put the selection back to the original 1 square. To get it back to one, I have to move it off of the ctl 1 position (eg. 2) and then press one to get it back to the normal position.
It would be nice if pressing 1 a third time brought it back to the original position.
You doing anything weird with rendering? With DualHotbars installed, water wasn't showing up, neither were glass panes. And some entities legs' weren't rendering as well.

It definitely stops the shift + M1 pollution these days.

Thanx!
I'm working on an open-source mod called Craft++. Check it out!
What version of Minecraft and Forge are you using? Does this mod show up in the Mods menu? Can you try running without optifine and see if it works.
1.7.10 recommended, yes it shows in the menu. Will test w/o Optifine...
