You forgot to add that TConstruct 2, from the same creator that made this mod, is for 1.10 and also has the features that this add-on for the original adds.
Hope this helps!
Are u trying to say the new TC in 1.10.2 does everything that this mod added?
You've awoken on this barren wasteland planet, a civilization once ruled and proud, but where is everyone? All the buildings are empty, nothing remains, all that can be seen is mass hordes in all directions of zombies, skeletons and other creatures never before seen. Inside isn't safe, Outside isn't safe, what will u do to survive this planet and escape? Can you survive the 1st day without death claiming you?
There is no natural light, when night time comes it's pitch black, no moon light and all that is heard is the scratching and moaning of whats around lurking to destroy you. Mining reveals unbeknownst horrors from the rocks just waiting to come out and devour your soul. Puddles of liquid blue or purple are not water, but also intent on harming you.

FINALLY! Thankyou so-so-so much!
It's defenetly my knowledge in English was the problem. Somehow I don't think, that is what I need to change.
"to override about any value"; I never think that is releated to mining leves. I just searched for something that mention "level" or "mining".
Now I jump into those gazzilions of configs, and see what I can do with them.
Thanks again!
Edit: WOW! It takes about 2 seconds to find it and change it! Awsome! So many things you can change in those configs; you can tune the whole TiC and IT in whatever way to like to play Minecraft. You can go in a gregtechian way, or can make anything OP.
A huge thumb up to boni for making so much possibilities to finetune the whole TiC experience!
The main aspects i liked about ITT .. was disabling Vanilla Tools other than for the use of casting and in crafting recipes only and the leveling system

I haven't gotten the full TiC 1.10.2 experience but I still want to comment. I do not agree with you on it not fitting anymore. The main reason I used ITT was for the level system and I am already missing it very much in 1.10.2;
From what I've seen on YT you go from a basic flint tool to manyullyn by simply finding iron, making an iron pick, finding a diamond and an emerald (or a village which is much easier ofc), upgrading your flint pick to diamond mining level, go out to get obsidian and upgrade your pick with an obsidian sharpening kit. Don't even have to find gold because you now can make casts out of clay. Boom done, highest mining level pickaxe. And repairable with flint.
??? If I am being honest this seems way too easy. With ITT you had to work for your levels and slowly upgrade your tool (to be able to get cobalt and ardite for manyullyn) and not reach end game in a couple of hours..
ATM I really hope boni either adds it to TiC as an optional feature or updates ITT. Or someone makes a continuation of this mod if it were to get discontinued. (pretty please)
I realize showing my support for this is probably futile. But just wanted to add, I support this comment 100%.
A major part of many of my modpacks, was using TiC then using ITT to customize the progression to fit other mods in the modpack. Even Gregtech. I also customized how ITT leveled picks to make it not OP. No leveling mining level. Only 1 or 2 free random enchants, with the useful option turned off, so it was a bit of a crap shoot. Less socket slots, so that the picks more resemble Vanilla's limitations on enchanting. It really was a great experience that felt balanced yet still way more useful than vanilla/other mod tools, and made you covet your favorite pick. 'till you got the resources to go up a mining level anyway.
If someone were to recreate this experience for 1.10.2, I would be sold in a heartbeat.
So question. In CaptainSparklez' Sky Factory thing he did last year his tools could get to a level called grandmaster yet I haven''t seen this any time that I've used ITT myself. Is this an old feature that got removed? Is there a config I'm missing to enable it?

Number of levels, XP between levels, and the name of each level are all customizable in the config. If you need help finding it, let me know
I've made a flint pickaxe and used it, now it's fully leveled up and got some nice upgrades on it (auto upgrade through level up), but now if I want to change the handle, these upgrades will be gone and I can't get them back. Is there a way in the config or something to reset the tool levels so I can upgrade it again or should I make a new one ?
Since when has replacing any tool part taken away modifiers? In fact, since when has there been any way to remove modifiers?
Hi, DaysofKnight again. You know, that guy that says Iron should be better than Bronze in this mod. I still stand by that, but after a bit of research and still say that Iron should be better than Bronze. For a few reasons, Bronze can break if you swing it too hard, rendering it useless. Whereas Iron is far more likely to just bend or chip. Not to mention, if you swing a Bronze sword at an Iron armor piece, chances are, you're not going to do anything, but instead just break your Bronze sword. I would really like an update for this mod that puts the mining level of Bronze below Iron. Seems silly to make a copper Pickaxe, mine for Iron, make an Iron one then find Tin and make a Bronze Pickaxe that's somehow better?
[snip] ... harder to obtain, and thus, it is a better material than iron. This is game-logic. [snip]
If Minecraft was about realism, it would not be Minecraft.
Vanilla Gold. I rest my case.
In all seriousness though, I do think Bronze should be a higher tier than Iron. There has to be a reason for Bronze to exist...
So, the client/server mismatch is getting a bit annoying. I run a server with people joining every day, and I have to make them download and install the correct server config manually every time someone new joins, and just getting Iguana set up so that it works for everyone is a massive pain because of this. Why can't serverside configs override clientside configs upon connection to the server? Is this a limitation of Forge?
Unlikely in its current form. A lot of what was special about this mod was moved in to Tinker basic and Boni has made a mod that involves the leveling of your Tinker's tools. I'm pretty sure the mining levels have also been put in to their own mod as well.

Is this going to be updated to the latest version of Tinkers' Construct?

can the tinker tweaks config use decimals for its values? i want to set the default drop rate of wither skulls to be the same as vanilla (2.5%)
Yes

probably not, since some of this mod's features are in tinkers construct 2 i think,
