Suggestion: Make the player's bubble bar deplete when in a deep ocean biome even if they're above the surface. I love the idea of being forced to travel larger oceans by boat. (Plus I intend to disable the vanilla boat and include ships mod )
Hello. Just wondering if you've given any thought to previous suggestions of "indicating" when you're getting low on air. I'm motivated by some different mods that rely on the vanilla drowning method. Namely, mods like Enviromine that add gases. One mod in particular,Harder Underground (part of the Reasonable Realism set) uses the vanilla drowning method but it doesn't show the air bubbles. This means instant death without warning if someone's using Air Overhaul.
I love the added danger of Air Overhaul - and I like that it affects all players equally. If you run out of oxygen, you die, no matter how many heat canisters you have. I've been using it for months and I really want to keep it, but some sort of additional indication would be great. Having been a surf life saver (like anyone who's held their breath underwater in the bath), I know that holding your breath does have an effect. The effect increases the longer you hold your breath and kicks in well before you pass out and start to get brain damage. The difficulty is in translating that visceral sensation to Minecraft. The heartbeat sounds is the closest approximation I can think of. My game already uses that to great effect with low health, and I'm not even sure which mod does it. It could be a combo of Matmos and HungerOverhaul. I'm thinking the same effect would be perfect for Air Overhaul. That does mean it could get confusing if you're already low on health (and so already have the heartbeat sound effects) and THEN go underwater, but in most cases, it would be a huge help.
Have the hartbeat sounds start out slow and be present the moment you begin holding your breath, then increase in tempo as "bubbles" decrease.

Mark, are you planning on hosting this on Curseforge? I have two packs that I currently slotted to include this and I would prefer making sure you get the RP for them.

"I don't like it when mods to make the game harder make the game harder" best quote ever
any chance this is still being developed/updated? anyone know of alternatives?
