Was originally going to pass on the mod, looked cool but wasn't quite to my tastes, but then I saw you could repair anything with a damage value with the magic dust. Am now using this mod.
Exo said and i were talking, and as a little idea of mine, i had the idea for TACO MINIONS! You eat a TexMex Taco and it spawns a single 2 health minion! but its only a concept, so it might be that only the TexMex Taco will happen, or not even at all. Gio Out!
Good to see the mod's involved since I last posted here some months ago now. A few more months and it would've been a year!
Either way I've got it installed and all, however, an easier way to see the "crafting" recipes ingame would be nice too! Unless there is one and I've not actually dabbled with it enough yet...?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Back in these for'ms here, and mods have been updated, mods have been created, and mods have died. The circle of life continues.
Your mod is already great but I think that it would be cooler if the special effects were independent of the items. By that I mean make you mod about upgrading any tool with your cool effects through magic. There are lots of cool swords mods but none of them are up-gradable, but this angel would make your mod stick out allow for better cross mod user experience.
When I finish 1.3, a lot of upgradable weapons will be available. I've finally figured out how to do custom projectiles, so there'll be some of those as well along with a lot of useful blocks, such as a teleporter, a drill and rings that have different abilities. Anyway, I think it'll be good.
What i mean is, since your mod is about giving tools/ weapons extra effects, that it would be even cooler if the mod was a way to upgrade any tool. It would allow for greater customization of weapons and tools and add a new dynamic to how the game is played. It would complement vanilla play and other mods in a way no other tool mod ever has. Don't get me wrong it is cool as is but when choosing witch pick or sword to use, it has a hard time competing with Thaumcraft, Tools done right, Botania, more swords and many other tool mods,
There was a mod called "Legendary Gear" in 1.5.2 that did something similar to what i described. He created "Medallions" that were crafted together with any sword and gave that sword the extra powers.
I think I have come up with a good way to implementing this idea it while keeping the general atmosphere of the mod. Keep all you have in the mod the way it is, but have the second tire of tools revolve around Magic Gems. The recipes could stay the same but diamonds or emeralds are imbued with magical power and attached to the tool. It could still do damage to the tool"based on enchant ability" and would make any tool look snazzy

There is in the next update, which is coming soon. There will be a book craftable with the altar, and a ton of new blocks to mess around with.

ideas...
I understand what you mean, I am just unsure of how I would do such a thing. I'll try to look into it.

So had a chance to look yet.
I've seen the other person's mod, I'm just currently trying to figure out a good way to implement it while keeping the general atmosphere of the mod.
Ok

I'm working on it. Don't rush it, it'll happen.
Oh! Fantastic.
