Is there anyway that we can use your steam for other purposes? I can't use AE2/ExtraCells to transport/store the steam, and it bugs me.
Also, Blood Magic's Lava Crystal won't work in your boiler, which makes my dream of a blood powered base sad.

Wow, just started playing with this mod. Really cool.
I cant figure out how to use the steam filler though.
I placed it directly on top of a tank (as shown in one of the mod spotlights), but when I right click with either an exosuit or a jet pack the item doesn't get placed in/on the steam filler.

Did you put a tank in the exosuit like the book asks you to? The jetpack is not armor, it's an upgrade.

I love the way you use the vanilla furnace and anvil instead of adding your own. That's a very smart idea. I was thinking and I don't if this is even possible or not.Would there be a way for you to make vanilla tools and armour break like they do in game now but not dissapear like they do now. What I mean is you can use a tool or armour piece until it looses all durability but you wouldn't be able to use it. As it stands now if you use an iron pick for example until it breaks you loose it there for it would render your steam hammer useless because you would have to make a new pick. It would also be cool if you could eliminate vanilla crafting for tools and armour and have molds you have to make for axe heads,sword blades, helmets,chest plates and such.
I am having an issue with the steam usage of the jet pack and fall assist. I have the chest piece with the jet pack and steam tank (It constantly draws steam - even when not flying?)
Finally is there any way to have an OP recipe so you could have the jet pack and wings work together?
Fall assist reduces fall damage. In the next update it will be much more siginificant.
Do you think you could run the complex pneumatic pistons used to power the suit (that I should really add to the recipe) that move its heavy limbs just by your muscle power? XD

No, at current time I haven't found a reliable way to retrogen.
I'm pretty sure that's what happened. Cant be 100% sure though. I was chucking pipes down in a hurry and it appeared one them tried to connect to the wall, which crashed me so quick it's hard to be sure that's exactly what happened. lol I'll see if I can recreate this for you. Have had several other crashes with various mods since then so I'm not sure I can find the crash report. Other than that you're mod has been rock solid.
No worries about the regen. I'll just go load new chunks.

i like your steampunk approach at a steammod and i happen to have a truck load of steampunk themed models like this:
(thats a jetpack armor with a boiler strapped to the back with a nice gauge on the tank and on the front of the suit, and thats only 1 of 3 suits i've made)
i've been working on project greystone, a mod concept which reminds me of this you're working on, but my mod concept revolves around using steam for steammachines and exosuits and some minor stuff while axles play a bigger role and are used to tranfer power to mechanical blocks and multiblock generators that use the mechanical power to create electricity. aka, almost the same, but not the same
a lot of the stuff you've so far is very very similar to what i've been thinking about, wich means we're like-minded people.
my mod concept is something i want to turn into an actual mod, however, i'm only good at making pretty stuff and i cant code...
so, would you like to team up with me and create the best steampunk mod out there?
i'd be happy to actually make a mod with someone and actually use my models.
i have a design document thiny explaining my concept in detail if you want to see what i've been thinking about.
you already have the basics in place and so far its good(my me and my OCD wants to redesigneverything...)

i've been working on project greystone, a mod concept which reminds me of this you're working on, but my mod concept revolves around using steam for steammachines and exosuits and some minor stuff while axles play a bigger role and are used to tranfer power to mechanical blocks and multiblock generators that use the mechanical power to create electricity. aka, almost the same, but not the same
a lot of the stuff you've so far is very very similar to what i've been thinking about, wich means we're like-minded people.
my mod concept is something i want to turn into an actual mod, however, i'm only good at making pretty stuff and i cant code...
so, would you like to team up with me and create the best steampunk mod out there?
i'd be happy to actually make a mod with someone and actually use my models.

While I appreciate the offer, I'd rather stay with my focus of the mod solely on steam power at the moment. Your models are very nice looking! My only concern is that they are much more complex than existing vanilla armors or indeed most anything in vanilla. They are very well crafted and textured though! I hope we could still work together in some way.

I wish there was a 1.6.4 version.
EDIT: I read through the previous replies to the topic and saw your previous response to a request for a 1.6.4 version. Yes, I realize backporting a mod takes work. Maybe once you are out of the pre-release stage, you could backport it? It'd just be nice to see a 1.6.4 version so I could use it in my private mod collection. Even if you don't it's a great mod. Keep up the good work.

I've encountered a problem, though it's not too serious. I've been playing with the Mystcraft mod, and I discovered on my mining age that there is absolutely no zinc, though ores from IC and BC are present. I hope that can be fixed, because I think the two mods can work really well together.

Is there any way to regen the ores for this mod? I had a crash after I accidentally connected pipe to a wall instead of another machine.
