Hello everybody, i'm wesserboy and this is my first released mod.
Mob particles is a small client side mod that spawns particles at mobs that look like their drops:


For some mobs the particles look different depending on their state:



It also automatically integrates with other mod's mobs, like mo' creatures:


Config:
The config file can be a little bit confusing, so i will explain what everything does here.

The main option is the Spawnmode, this determines when particles should be spawned, there are three modes, 0, 1 and 2. Mode 0 is the default mode, this will spawn particles every x seconds where you can determine x.
Mode 1 will spawn x amount of particles when you hit a mob, here you can also determine x. Mode 2 will spawn x amount of particles when a mob dies, as with the other modes here you can also determine x.

The other options are Particle Timer and Particle Count, if you are using spawnmode 0, the particle timer can set how many seconds it should wait before it spawns another particle, if you set this to 0 it will randomize the interval. if you are using spawnmode 1 or 2 you can set the amount of particles that is being spawned using the particle count, if you set this one to 0 the amount will be randomized as well.

It should work with most other mods, but i've only tested it with mo' creatures, and that worked fine.

yeah, I thought of it as a neat effect, so it depends on if you like the effects.

Thanks for the suggestion, for the next update i'm working on adding some settings in the config file, i'll add this as one of the particle spawn modes

Thanks for the suggestion, i'll be adding this feature as a config option as well

just updated the main post with the latest version, i have added some config options to be able to configure how/when the particles spawn. the spawn modes are based on some suggestions. if anybody has any more suggestions be sure to post them!

to avoid confusion I added a little description about how the config file works, so you can make full advantage of the new features.

I just found a bug, I added it to the main post and I'll be trying to fix it soon.

Hey i think i also found a bug not sure why but ocelots seem to spawn leather is it just me or does this also happen at the you guys
