Hi. Shellac is obtained by using a lac bug. You can destroy tall grass to find the bug just like you find seeds. Then you need to put the bug against a jungle log just like you would do with cocoa beans. The bug will fly around for a while and eventually the log will get some amber spots on it. You just need to left or right click the log to get it. The bug will keep working after that. Mix the shellac with a water bottle and you will get varnish. Put the varnish in the top middle of the crafting grid and then put in the wooden slabs to get hardwood

Not sure if it's just me, but I try to trade a carcass and paper tow the chef villager and it does nothing?

Edit: Seems you have to trade a bit before a particular carcass+paper trade unlocks. Got it.

Hey! Would just like to say I absolutely love your mod so far. Things like the villager books are absolutely brilliant. However, I feel that in some cases, the Oref's are overwhelming in numbers. I'd like to disable them, and while it is possible using other mods, I worry about the unintended effects that could have on the world since they cloak as blocks (Diamonds everywhere, lots of air pockets, etc). Any chance you could add a config to disable their spawning? In any case, Amazing mod, I'll definitely be using it either way.

Hi. First, thank you very much Second, I did not intend for them to spawn so frequently. I have been playing Minecraft for the first time in a while and I noticed that they were everywhere. I put a number in wrong and that is why they are everywhere. They are meant to mimic the spawn rate of real diamond but, like I said, I put in the number wrong so instead of have a frequency of 4 they have a frequency of 32 I can't think of a way of getting rid of them without, like you said, leaving holes everywhere in existing worlds. I fixed the error for the next update but unfortunately there isn't much I can do about it now. My only suggestion is, before you mine up any of the Oref ore you can change to peaceful so you don't have to deal with wasting so many picks killing them. I assume you are using WAILA so you can tell. If not, then when you find diamond ore you can use a wooden axe and if it is working to break it then you know it's an Oref. I'm sorry for this oversight. I know it is annoying. I will do some better testing next time. On a side note, have you tried the Augmentation Nexus? If so, do you find it overpowered?

Every single villager being born now is yours. 8 of 8 villagers born in my world was of this type

EDIT: 8 of 9 now, but the rate is way too high

I have no Idea. Try it and let me know. My guess is that there will just be a bunch of them at the bottom of the quarry when it is finished or the block might just get destroyed.

There isn't actually anything I can do about that. My villagers are just added on top of the existing vanilla mechanics. I didn't change anything there. My guess is Minecraft is just trolling you. I will do some testing though and see if maybe I did something by mistake.

EDIT: I did some testing and only one of the villagers that were born was the one you showed. I think you were just having some bad luck.

I know, they were spawning like crazy. I was strip mining and I had to stop and go fix it because I was so frustrated with myself. I uploaded v1.4.1 which fixes it for new chunks that are generated. Also, the Oref now only drop diamond ore chunks (and rarely diamonds) when killed instead of full diamonds and diamond ore. Thank you for the feedback

I don't really have one. To be clear, I have no problem at all with people using my mod in modpacks (public or private). I mod because I enjoy it and I want other people to enjoy it. That's also why you will never see ads (unless Mediafire automatically puts ads) or any type of "wait five seconds before you can download" stuff here.
