Great job on the mod, the fairly simple add-ons it brings have quite a bit of potential.
After seeing CaptainSparklez coverage of it, I downloaded it and gave it a try and have had a pretty good time with it so far. Although there are two things that bother me a bit.
The first is the vibrating effect from the vanishing blocks that Jbeuh77 mentioned above me. Not sure if it was intentional or not to have a visual distinction from normal blocks, but it would be nice to have the option to turn it off if it was intentional. Also for some reason, when the vanishing block vibrates it let's you pass through it as though it had been switched off while the animation plays, which I assume shouldn't happen.
The second is more of a suggestion. I noticed that when you have a cluster or line of the vanishing blocks together, the vanishing animation has a sort of domino effect by starting the animation on the block receiving the redstone signal first and having the animation travel throughout the rest of the connected blocks. However, when you switch the blocks to vanish, it causes all the connected blocks to instantly let you pass through it, even if the vanishing animation hasn't played yet for those blocks so it looks like you're just walking through a solid block
So I was wondering if instead of treating the connected system of vanishing blocks as a whole by making the entire system vanish when you give it a redstone signal, it could cause the individual blocks to vanish sequentially once the vanishing animation has finished playing for that block. That way, you could make it so that you have a walkway made out of the vanishing blocks that you can switch off and run across as the walkway disappears behind you instead of just being able to fall through it instantly when you switch it off.

I would like this, too. Or even better, for example, if you have dirt vanishing frames, the more dirt surrounding the frames, the less (or no) vibration will occur, like so:
D D D D D D D D D D D D #D - Dirt D D X X D D #X - Dirt-covered Vanishing Frames D D X X D D
I don't use Optifine nor shaders, and I don't have a clue how to post a picture... any suggestions on how? Oh, I may have an idea, but it involves no picture.
(The sides don't blend colors, FYI, like they should)
Top side is birch wood, and 2 sides are birch wood, too. Pumpkin is on the bottom side and the 2 other sides. If you have an idea on how to post a pic for me, that might give a better idea. Thanks!
Based on the descritpion, I can't really tell why it happens. You can upload pictures on dedicated image hosting sites like imageshack.us, or imgur.com. Or you can wait for the next update and hope it will magically fix the problem (because I do :P)
im getting the same exact crash and im using 1.7.2-Forge10.12.1.1101
That's weird, it's a problem corrected in the lastest version. Can you make you sure you downloaded the last one ? If so, can you please post the crash log ?
erm, placing a mixed block in a vanishing frame turnes the frame invisible.,
and the greyscale blocks are a BIT wierd..
Yes, Mixed Blocks inside vanishing frames are not supported yet, but it should display an orange cube, not make it invisible. As for the geyscale block, it's kind of the same issue, it does not yet support more advanced rendering process for the blocks. Next update will be able to handle way more "unconventionnal" blocks in the Vanishing Frames.
why do i not have the block mixer in 1.6.4? is that in a further update?
No the 1.6.4 version does not have the Block Mixer. It's only for 1.7.2. The 1.6.4 version was a work-in-progress that shouldn't really be available, but since it's has ben asked about... =)
I was wondering, are the block mixer and or the vanishing blocks compatible with other mods?
Also Captain Sparkelz did a mod review of you mod if you didn't know already (you can find it here: )
The should be compatible with other mod blocks. However, if the blocks are not standard, as in they have a special rendering process, it might bug out or even cause crashes. So be careful with the experiments.

Keep up the good work on the mod!
Yes, the vibrations are intentionnal (I can't believe CaptainSparklez thought that the neat effect was a bug :'( ), and you will be able to disable them in the future.
The hitbox collision is, however, a bug. They should have their own, and not let the player through if he looks at a vanished block. I already corrected it for the next version.
I have installed the 1.6 version but I can't find the Block Mixer. I tried searching for it with TooManyItems, regular creative inventory, and even crafting it, but I still can't find it! Can you help?

When I try to mix a block it doesn't work right, the blocks don't blend (it does when its on my inventory, but when I place it, it doesn't have the blending effect)
EDIT: I fixed it myself, now it has a blend effect.

Ok, so I've been playing around with this mod, and I'm impressed so far, but it seems to be mostly aesthetic influences. For example, I tried making a vanishing crafting table... buuuut it can't craft anything. I wondered if you'd be able to apply the block's inventory as well as its texture? You could then have vanishing chests, now that could be interesting.
Another idea I had is reversed vanishing blocks, so that they start vanished and appear with a redstone signal. That way you could have a room that toggles between two designs of the same block. Just a thought.
Ordinastie, I hardly know how to work imgur, but go to http://malachitefish.imgur.com, hopefully it works. Pic to right is what it looks like in my hand (which is how it should look placed), and left pic is what it looks like placed. Eboh had the same issue but he fixed it, I wish I knew how. :l

Please tell me how you fixed it, I've had that problem for a week about now.
I found a small little bug, the block mixer will not accept transparent blocks like glass where as the second slot with, not sure if this is intentional but I just thought I would report it,
Edit: After testing, I found that the game crashes immediately when trying to place a mob skull into the mixer block.
Think about it. A head is not as big as a regular block and can be placed sideways and such. Try putting 2 heads together or 2 wood doors or maybe even 1 wood 1 iron door. But since one is bigger, the textures mess up together, resulting in *BOOM*, crash. And I bet the glass thing is intentional to stop people from crashing their game. If one part is transparent and one isn't, and they blend, how would the transparency work? ANSWER: It wouldn't. Hope this helped, even though I really fixed nothing

This isn't working for me. I'm not sure why but when I open minecraft 1.7.2 forge it closes within 5 seconds. I hope you can find a way to fix this. This looks like a really good mod and would love to get it.
Is there a way to install this mod for a 1.6.4 Tekkit server? I tried downloading the 1.6.4 version of Malisisdoors and Malisiscore and put it into the mods folder for the server but it just caused the server to crash when I tried to launch it.
Also for a suggestion, I would like if there was a method to vertically combine blocks with the block mixer rather than only horizontally. Also personally I would often like them to just simply be able to combine blocks in the middle rather than have them blended as it looks weird when used in some places.

Sorry, I can't provide any help without more informations. Please post the crash log here, so I can determine what went wrong.

Unfortunately, there is no support for the 1.6.4. The jars were a work in progress and are distributed only for the ones brave enough to use it at their own risk.
Concerning the mixed block, it is plan to be able to specify wich faces to blend, and eventually have an option to chose the rendering between blending mode and split mode.

Aah, thats the issue, I'm getting the same if I type /help 5.
(I've different and more mods installed, so the crash occurs on a later page)
I looked at my crashlog, but nothing seems to hint towards malisisdoors.

I looked at my crashlog, but nothing seems to hint towards malisisdoors.
I don't know about others mods but I confirm mine did make it crash when typing /help =)
Keep up the good work on the mod!

I have had nothing but problems on my server with forge
and bukkit has had no issues with 1.7.9
Based on the descritpion, I can't really tell why it happens. You can upload pictures on dedicated image hosting sites like imageshack.us, or imgur.com. Or you can wait for the next update and hope it will magically fix the problem (because I do :P)
That's weird, it's a problem corrected in the lastest version. Can you make you sure you downloaded the last one ? If so, can you please post the crash log ?
Yes, Mixed Blocks inside vanishing frames are not supported yet, but it should display an orange cube, not make it invisible. As for the geyscale block, it's kind of the same issue, it does not yet support more advanced rendering process for the blocks. Next update will be able to handle way more "unconventionnal" blocks in the Vanishing Frames.
No the 1.6.4 version does not have the Block Mixer. It's only for 1.7.2. The 1.6.4 version was a work-in-progress that shouldn't really be available, but since it's has ben asked about... =)
The should be compatible with other mod blocks. However, if the blocks are not standard, as in they have a special rendering process, it might bug out or even cause crashes. So be careful with the experiments.
Next update brings a configuration file that allows you to disable Vanishing "Glitching" vibrations (yes thoses vibrations are intended =)).

Another idea I had is reversed vanishing blocks, so that they start vanished and appear with a redstone signal. That way you could have a room that toggles between two designs of the same block. Just a thought.

A) a "Japanese Sliding Door"? What? B ) what is a "full" door? (Space after "B" and before ")" is because it would make the face.)
Please tell me how you fixed it, I've had that problem for a week about now.
Try getting a clean 1.7.2 jar because something like another mod I guess, has modified your wooden door.

Also for a suggestion, I would like if there was a method to vertically combine blocks with the block mixer rather than only horizontally. Also personally I would often like them to just simply be able to combine blocks in the middle rather than have them blended as it looks weird when used in some places.
Consider my permission automatically granted =)
Thank you for pointing that out. It will be corrected in the next version.

I don't know about others mods but I confirm mine did make it crash when typing /help =)
Meanwhile, a little more teasing... =) http://puu.sh/9lFxN/3bdb6757cf.png
