Trade your excess blocks for the ones you really want. Why keep a chest full of cobblestone when you can have a chest full of coins instead? Get a job farming, mining, or crafting items for money. Buy stacks of stonebrick to build that awesome fort you’ve always wanted. There are so many possibilities!
Description:
This mod allows you to trade almost any item using coins. The coins come in five values (Defaults 1,10,100,1000,10000). The trading is done at an Universal Trade Station. Get coins is by selling items or killing mobs. Most vanilla items have a predefined price and prices can be changed by editing the pricelist files or using the /uc set command. Items can only be bought after the player has found at least one of that item (no buying blaze rods before finding one).
I'm going ahead with a few more changes. I've implemented buildcraft pipe compatibility so items can be pumped in and items and coins can be pumped out. I'm adding an auto buy/sell mode that can be disabled by the main config. Here's a mock-up of the GUI with "Auto Buy / Sell" enabled.
Have you ever considered auto pricing?
If a material consist of 2 wood planks in it's crafting,
The price of that material will be the equivalent of 2 wooden planks.
Could work with modded items if you state a price of that item in the config.
This mod has some serious potential but right now there are some very serious flaws. I think this is just a bug but changing the price in the config file for example: I changed the price of wheat seeds from 15 to 1 because 320 seeds != diamond in the box when you put the seeds in the box and sell them if it's on auto it will sell for the default 15 but if it's on manual it will sell for 15 then quickly change to 1.
As for things I'd like to see in this mod is a way to make it accept only a few items (to make shops where you can sell/buy goods)
also if possible make it so only the trading post user can change the "buy/sell" items
Sorry for the lack of updates. I haven't had much time to work on this lately. @_Strong_Bad There is definitely an issue with the way coin output is done when auto is off. I attempted to reproduce your issue and got 4800 coins in auto and 4455 when outputting to coins. I'll try to resolve the issue in the next release.
As for limiting what can be bought and sold, you could edit the pricelist values to -1 for anything you don't want to have available. Another mod like vending blocks might be better for having a single item for sale. It's not updated yet though.
There is a few more things I want to implement before moving to maintenance mode. I want to rewrite the itempricer to support subblocks (slabs, potions, saplings, +more). Also thinking of making the station movable by wrench without dropping coins.
That is a very good question. The mod doesn't have a way to disable the recipe, but I can easily roll it into the config file next update. ZZZZZ Custom Configs claims to be able to disable recipes. I haven't tried so I can't guarantee it works.
I've been using this mod on my families private SMP server and have found a few issues with client sync that I'm working on solutions for. I should have a stable update available by the weekend. Also, the current release has to have matching pricelists client and server. I'm working on a solution where all pricing is done server side so only the server prices matter in SMP.
They wanted the mod to load last After it was named, they found that it could be done a better way. If you want to help test the next release, let me know. I just spent the last couple hours getting the client/server stuff moved over to simple network wrapper. The name is deceiving I'll do more testing tomorrow after work just to make sure I haven't missed anything.
Version 1.7.2-1.5.3 released! Contact me if any bugs are found. Please read the "Changes" section to avoid issues if upgrading. Many things have changed.
I doubt it is possible, and probably not easy if it is; but it would be really cool if there were a way to make prices go down on items you sell if you sell alot of them in a small period. Kind of like supply and demand, or a real market of sorts...Maybe that or a blackout timer where you can only sell "X" number of item "Z" during a certain period of time, then after a while the machine will start taking them again. IDK, just want it to be more balanced...

No seriously get it right

oresKa2: You are running an older version of Forge. Try updating to the recommended version for 1.7.2 (
10.12.1.1060).

Not bad. Thanks! I'll put a link in the main post.
