Hey guys, i know that older versions of Minecraft isnt supported by the mod authors but i'm playing a custom 1.7.10 modpack and i found a weird interaction with TheBetweenlands and thaumcraft. Whenever i try to spawn a thaumcraft biome it spawns a TBL biome (in the overworld), with Sinister nodes totems or silverwood trees. I checked and the biome id's are different. Its not breaking the game or anything, but i would like to actually found a magical forest in my gameplay. Do any of you guys knows what could be doing this? thanks!

I have an unusual problem with biomes from this mod (1.7.10). There are normal versions of biomes and "M" variations. The problem is, the "M" variations generate in overworld and there's nothing about them in the config so I can't change them to be below ID 128 (because they are all above ID 127). Normal Betweenlands biomes have ID below 128 so they don't generate in the overworld.

Edit: nvm fixed. I deleted mod and downloaded again and everything works fine. But that was strange behavior.
it would make things a lot more interesting if the Developer could add in the part where after you defeat the Prime Wight, you get to have two choices, either you become a hero and put an end to the corruption and purify the Betweenlands to it's former glory, or..... you can become a villain and take the Prime Wight's place as the new ruler of the Betweenlands, obtain unimaginable powers, corrupt the Overworld, and so much more!
because after all Karmic choices will always make even mods like this a lot more fun, if you know what i mean!
especially when there are people like myself who would rather become villains in games!

At first glance, you seem to be using the latest version of tBT and your Forge version is high enough.
I have done a quick search in the Betweenlands' Discord server and it might just be a read-write issue.
It may be a longshot, but could you check if you have \mods\memory_repo\angrypixel\TheBetweenlands\3.4.10\TheBetweenlands-3.4.10-core.jar in your mods folder?
If you do not, maybe it would help installing Minecraft in a folder that does not need special read/write permissions or running Minecraft as an administrator.

Optifine shaders and the Betweenlands have never been good friends. I am not sure whether they are officially supporting Optifine at all at the moment.
In fact it would not surprise me if Optifine was the conflict that causes this crash in the Betweenlands.
It seems like you are using the last version of Forge (which is good) and the forelast version of the Betweenlands.
Maybe you should try the last one.
If you want quick help, the Discord is a better means of contacting the developers.

Updating BL and removing OptiFine seemed to do the trick, thanks.
I should have known the classic "Remove OptiFine" trick would be what would save it, but I've never until now had an OptiFine issue with models, how strange.
Had to just break the model crashing me and not use it form now on because I need OptiFine for performance, otherwise I get like 10FPS where as OptiFine gets me to like 60. (Seriously, no joke)
I'll keep in mind that the Discord for BL is better for support than the forums, thanks for the help and I'll keep all this in mind in future!

will this ever get updated to 1.16.1? I think it would work well with the undergarden mod.
Looking at their Github it seems like they have attempted a port to MC 1.13, but so far there hasn't been a release for that version it seems.
This is a very big mod that probably will take a long while to update. I imagine that, if Forge takes a long time to update to MC 1.17, by the time vanilla 1.19 comes around, this mod may be updated to MC 1.16. Otherwise, MC 1.16 will probably be skipped if tBL is ever updated past 1.12.
Then again, I am not part of the tBL development team, so take my estimation with a grain of salt.
As for almost any mod that isn't dead, check their Discord for latest updates/news.

Also, just one other unrelated bug I found, when you use the mod-shaders with Optifine and set the rendering to 0.5x the game only shows the bottom left corner of the screen.
I'm not too bothered by it, but thought I'd bring it up.

Curse PremiumOptifine shaders and the Betweenlands have never been good friends. I am not sure whether they are officially supporting Optifine at all at the moment.
In fact it would not surprise me if Optifine was the conflict that causes this crash in the Betweenlands.
It seems like you are using the last version of Forge (which is good) and the forelast version of the Betweenlands.
Maybe you should try the last one.
If you want quick help, the Discord is a better means of contacting the developers.
I will look into it some more, though.

Updating BL and removing OptiFine seemed to do the trick, thanks.
I should have known the classic "Remove OptiFine" trick would be what would save it, but I've never until now had an OptiFine issue with models, how strange.
Had to just break the model crashing me and not use it form now on because I need OptiFine for performance, otherwise I get like 10FPS where as OptiFine gets me to like 60. (Seriously, no joke)
I'll keep in mind that the Discord for BL is better for support than the forums, thanks for the help and I'll keep all this in mind in future!
Would it be okay to include this in a technic modpack? I don't plan to do anything crazy, I just want update my modpack for fun. My modpack was made for fun. The modpack is called "Cody's Tinker's Journey", it's on technic.

Curse PremiumLooking at their Github it seems like they have attempted a port to MC 1.13, but so far there hasn't been a release for that version it seems.
This is a very big mod that probably will take a long while to update. I imagine that, if Forge takes a long time to update to MC 1.17, by the time vanilla 1.19 comes around, this mod may be updated to MC 1.16. Otherwise, MC 1.16 will probably be skipped if tBL is ever updated past 1.12.
Then again, I am not part of the tBL development team, so take my estimation with a grain of salt.
As for almost any mod that isn't dead, check their Discord for latest updates/news.

I was away for a long while, came back and thought this mod was dead and gone. Glad to see it's still being updated!
After watching some youtubers play this and making my own modpack, I saw that this is still on 1.12.2. Will this be updating to 1.16.5 any time soon?
