This would be the best mod in the history of Minecraft. Though I have to ask, what would happen in the following scenarios?
1. I save my past self from a Creeper, altering when and where I will be. Will my future change?
2. Say it is 7pm, and I time travel back in time to 2pm and blow up my house. Then I go to 4pm and watch my past self. What would happen?
3. If I go to the future, would I be able to see my future self?
4. If I visit the future, blow up my house, then go to my normal time, will I eventually see myself blow my house up?
And as a suggestion, which would help void the problem of scenarios 1 and 2, after you alter time, all of your recorded actions after that point in time could be deleted, so that we don't see myself flying over a crater that used to be my house.

Thanks for supporting this mod!
1. You would cause a paradox (probably a very big one), and your real self would instantly die.
2. It depends on where you are and if you come back to your house, but it would cause a paradox if the player went near the building.
3. Yes.
4. Yes.
I will take this into consideration... It would probably also clean up a lot of memory problems and reduce in-game lag.
If you do my suggestion, you could remove paradoxes, allowing people to save their past selves from mobs...save your house from Creepers...and make modifications in the safeness of the past.
And what would my future self be? A random mob that randomly does things? How would you make an accurate future version of the player?

Eh... I like the idea of having to pay for your actions. If you place tnt everywhere and blow up your world in the past, you should be punished somehow.
Maybe we can have an option, paradox version or alternate reality version. One will have paradox penalties, the other could have changes in the past resulting in an alternate chain of events.

I'll see... making an alternate reality for each time you go back in time and break a block would suck up LOTS of memory though, so this may or may not be a practical choice.
The other realities would be deleted upon change, so there would only be one "reality" being saved. Combining alternate realities with the idea of deleting all saves past a temporal change would save memory.

Ah, I see! I'll see if theres a way to work this into the mod somewhere....
Your post says you need creative people...could I join? I watch my fair share of sci-fi (which has its own fair share of time-travel), and I think I could be helpful. Plus, I am going to give modding a try, I could be a modder once I bocame half-decent.
What you want to help with: Ideas, eventually modding Previous experiences: 3 Terraria mods (modding and ideas) What sets you apart from other modders: Nothing yet, but this mod will probably set me apart Examples of work: Dream (modder) Terraria Trek and Weegee's Misc Pack (creator and modder) Do you have a github: No. Can you debug: Heck yes.
As a side-note, Dream has more items then shown of the main page, Hippo just wasn't so good at updating the topic.
Man...If (or when) this mod gets made...I can see it. A Temporal server war. Each faction trying to change different parts of history to make the other's base be damaged or destroyed...or to gain resources quicker. It would be chaos. One minute you have diamond everything and a super epic base, next, you have nothing and you are sitting on a lonely hill.
GIMME ERROR AND CODE!
