You should post this in the Minecraft Support thread. Since this has nothing to do with this mod, you shouldn't really be bothering the modder with this issue. Since this mod or Minecraft Forge don't sound like they are at fault, you don't need to post in Modded Minecraft support.

It only crashes when this MOD is installed, so it is this Mod. Im asking if he/she knows a way to make their mod work with Java 6 or an easier way to get Java 7 going.
Sorry for not giving you a reply in time. I am glad to hear you asking me for help. Actually I have interest in it. The TuxWeapons way that divide weapons into three categories have attracted my attention. It could be interesting, but at the same time it means a compatibility hell, to both the mods that add mobs and the mods that add weapons.
I have thought about implementing some sorts of automatic mechanics to deal with compatibility, but it could be too time consuming at the time. My policy on modding is to create mechanism that modders can handle mod compatibility with finite effort. At the moment I think I am not able to pick it up. Sorry.
I was excited to use this mod but it crashes on startup /:
I removed all other mods and it still crashes, I believe it is a Java 6/7 issues as I am on Mac which I am finding out forces Java 6 even if you update to 7. Basically the Java executable in the Minecraft launcher will always force 1.6 (Java6) and the Java 7 exec is hidden via some wizardry I am barely able to comprehend. I found some methods on the net to force your Mac to use Java 7 but they are super complicated. Is there an easier way to get Minecraft to use Java 7?
All the walkthroughs I have found are super complicated and are for slightly different OS or Mac computer, so there are subtle differences that roadblock me and Im not enough of a Coder to understand
Sorry for not giving you a reply in time also. I would like to help you though. You experience may help other old Mac users also.
I have problems recognising your difficulty to launch your game with Java 7. I don't have a Mac computer, so even if I have found good solutions from the internet, I can't try it out to know whether it works or not.
Dormentality's suggestion is reasonable. Yes, you get a crash from my mod when you launch your game with Java 6, but it is due to the failure to launch Minecraft with Java 7, which should be considered a vanilla problem. I could assume that you would get a better answer if you post your problem in the support forum.
He's right, Im realizing as I look into it more that Apple has this terrible track record when it comes to Java so it is more of a Vanilla issue. If I figure out a simple way to force Minecraft to start in Java 7 on OS X Ill post it.
Multi MC fixed all my Mac/Java problems! Tomahawks are flyin'!
A new version 1.4.8.4 is out. It includes some new sound effects as well as a little bit very very *fine* adjustments to the entity restitution.
There are still some tasks on my to-do list, including mostly the block breaking feature and the publishing of Tomahawks API. While 1.8 is coming, I am planning to move some tasks to the new environment. And I am still thinking about whether or not to keep on updating versions for 1.6 or 1.7. Perhaps I should have a poll for it?
As usual, any opinions or suggestions to my mods are welcomed. Please let me know how do you think.

Is it possible to make the axe that are being thrown not travel so far? I also have Balkonweapons installed, and the knives, weighing so much lesser than the axes, arch downwards when thrown; but, the axes do not. They seem to travel pretty much in a straight line and gravity seems to have minimal effect on them. If possible, please install Balkonweapons mod and check out the knives, and perhaps, balance your axes around that range or so... again, this is just me net-picking, but I do believe the axes can be thrown quite far horizontally without gravity affecting them.
Since the handle on swords are so small, it may be quite hard to accurately throw swords. How about throwing shovels instead? My friend grew up on a farm, and he used to tell me that him and his uncle always challenged each other throwing shovels like spears onto a pile of dump to see who can throw the farthest and hardest into the dump. Sounds logical- yeah?
Thank you for your suggestion. I know the knives in Balkon's Weapons Mod, and the range thing is somehow intended. I am not very sure but let's say, if someone throws a knife and an axe at same initial velocity and the axe have a greater mass, the axe will lose velocity with the drag at a gradual rate and hence a longer traveling distance when compared to the knife. I think the main difference between throwing a knife and throwing an axe (perhaps in a kinematics concern?) is that an axe causes you more energy to reach that initial velocity. And unless the axe is extremely heavy to an extend that the person cannot properly swing it, the difference in initial speed should be negligible.
Not everyone have the same set of images to those items. For example, if your axe experience greater air resistance when thrown, no doubt it will have shorter range. I am actually thinking about exposing the capability to adjust physical parameters in the config so players can play with the throwing axes that best fit their images.
I have no plans to make either throwing pickaxes, swords or shovels, but only throwing hammers. An future API that I have mentioned before would allow you to add any throwable objects with minimal codes if you are interested about making add-ons. A rough framework is already here and being used in recent releases, but it will take me some time to make it into a comprehensive one.

You are welcome, crunkazcanbe. Have your confirmed that you can't enter the world after those logs occurred? If you are using a version newer than 1.4.8.5, these annotation failures should not crash the game. They just show up once in the console at server start-up and being skipped immediately, should not affect the game.
Great! Just adding it to the top. Thank you very much for it!

I would take it into consideration, but I can't promise because it does not fit into the current algorithm that I do with the projectiles.
