Still slowly making progress. Here's a little teaser of some Biomes O Plenty miniature trees.
When MFP detects that Biomes O Plenty is loaded, it will register thin log variants of all its wood, and register its saplings with a tree generator. With the basics down, now I get have a little fun designing miniature tree generators for the more unique tree types.
I'll write built-in loaders for the major biome and nature mods, but this can also be supported through config, not unlike TreeCapitator tree registrations.

It's been a while since a release on 1.7. Well have a release.
4/11/2014 - 1.7.2.9:
- Biomes O Plenty sapling / tree support
- Plant Mega Pack preview release support
- Fix: Mod is much more resistant to crashing in unexpected mod interaction
- Fix: Breaking top-half of plants now breaks whole plant
This release is all about improving mod compatibility. There's still a long way to go. This also doesn't include any config-based compatibility for saplings like I mentioned above. For now, I've hard-coded the support for Biomes O Plenty. I'm also actively working with the Plant Mega Pack author on compatibility with that mod and I'll have a separate announcement for that soonish.
Almost every Biomes O Plenty sapling type is supported and will grow a suitable small tree. The fruit trees will even bear fruit. All of the Biomes O Plenty wood types can also be used for making posts and post fences.
Okay, thanks. I had a feeling this conflict was going to come up somewhere. I have some alternative approaches they're just much more work to implement.
Just stumbled upon this mod. Really great! I am playing a 1.6.4 server and we really appreciate how it works with other mod plants like Pam's mod. It would be cool if you had thaumcraft aspects, but that is really a minor thing. The pots look and play well! The soil testing kit is really creative. I can't wait til other mods update to 1.7 so we can take this there and use carvings!
I don't really understand Thaumcraft, but if you showed me a couple open-source mods that integrate aspects, I could probably do that. I know it's not uncommon for other mods to add that support.

you could check better storage, it have thaumcraft 4 integration but i don't know if it is opensource... altough, i literally love this mod! very good! what about storing food in pots? a sort of primitive chest
Well, I don't think it would make a good storage container. Being all open-top and you can jump inside it. You can store a block of water in it, since you can pull water back out with an empty bucket. I might expand that to fluid in general. It certainly won't compare to the capacity of fluid tanks in other mods.
ThaumcraftApi.registerObjectTag(Block.cobblestone.blockID, -1, (new AspectList()).add(Aspect.ENTROPY, 1).add(Aspect.STONE, 1));
I hope that helps! peace
Thanks. I looked into it more and realized Thaumcraft is still on 1.6.4. My 1.6 branch is on limited support so I don't plan on adding aspects to it. But I will for 1.7 when Thaumcraft releases something.
It's the intermediate state of particle rearrangement. If you put down one of those disco-painted "post" blocks and break it, it turns to oak!
This is what I get for doing too much testing in creative. And since you're the one that posted the Tinkers conflict with the recipe I guess that's a double whammy. Sorry about that. I'll try to have a fix soon.

TC4 for 1.7.2 just launched actually. Good luck! FYI, most of the pots do already have some aspects (TC4 does a pretty good job of figuring out what things are made of from forge recipes), but non-obvious aspects are missing, such as pots not having the "vacuous" or "empty" aspect, and all your custom items (stamps and pots with patterns) don't have forge crafting recipes so they are unexaminable. Thanks for considering it!

Aw, is the 1.6.4 version going to get any more love? Some modders are abandoning 1.7.X for various reasons, and I won't be able to upgrade MC until most of my mods upgrade (Lest I end up with a world with tons of missing blocks) So I guess I'm stuck with 1.6.4 until probably 1.8. But I'd love to have BoP decorative trees before then!

I think enough modders are going to break compatibility that there won't be a viable upgrade option past 1.6.x anyway. If people think 1.7 has been a hard pill to swallow, 1.8 is likely going to decimate existing code bases. I can't really see modders being more eager to update to 1.8, especially if Mojang promises another round of highly destructive updates for 1.9 (or perhaps the elusive mod API itself).
I have faith 1.7 will catch on eventually, and that's what I plan on setting up my server with soon. If another month or two goes by and everyone is doubling down on 1.6.4, then I may consider doing more work on that branch. But if that happens, I wouldn't have high hopes for 1.8 either. Things like the BoP trees compatibility would be harder to do in 1.6, since I'd have to start parsing everyone's config files and hope I get the IDs right.
