hmmm thats strange as that i dont have that problem, the rain can depend on the texture pack that you are using so try default minecraft texture and see if the rain is there.
as for the fog, i am unsure as to whats the problem there, could you tell me what video card you have?
It is an improvement, the black bar is gone, but the red outline is still there, and I think its the godrays, here are day and night pictures for comparison.

what version of my shader were you using? BETA1 or BETA2? or does this happen in both? also does this also happen with chocapic13's shaders?
also thanks for letting me know what video card you have as this is helping me isolate the problems, unfortunately its very hard as i dont have these problems with either of my computers, one that has a GTX770 and the other has a AMD Radeon HD 7600m, but it does seem to be just a AMD video card problem....
I have the same problem above - strange red outlines and I also have amd gpu (R9 270). I check both betas and both have exact same problem. Definitely one of the best shaders, and im using it even with this bug hopefully it will be fixed soon.
My shader is based on Chocapic13's shaders, have you tried his? if so, is the same bug in his shader as well? cause if not i can isolate it to the changes i have made.
Hi, I'm having a problem when I go to use your shaders. When I start the shaders I get the following message in the chat for minecraft.
[Shaders] Error: Invalid program composite
[Shaders] Error: Invalid program composite1
[Shaders] Error: Invalid program composite2
[Shaders] Error: Invalid program final
My graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce GTX 850M with the GeForce 340.52 drivers installed (the most recent ones as of writing this post). I'm using windows 8 and I have the most current versions of Minecraft (1.7.10), FML (v7.10.25.1188), and GLSL with no other mods installed.
-EDIT-
I found a fix on accident, I was sorting through my graphics card profiles and discovered that while Minecraft was using my Nvidia GPU, I was running Java with the built in Intel chipset. So, if anyone else is having this problem and has a Nvidia driver here's the fix.
1.) Open the Nvidia control panel
2.) On the left, select 'Manage 3D Settings'
3.) Go to the 'Program Settings' tab
4.) Add these programs:
- Minecraft.exe (or whatever you use as a launcher)
- C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe
- C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe
5.) Set the preferred graphics processor for all of these to Nvidia GPU
6.) Enjoy your eye candy
Love the shader but I got a few bugs. I am using the amd black screen fix version but i can still see these bugs if I load one of the other versions.
None of these happen in Chocpic13's Shaders.
I have red outline of the horizon during the night
blocks held by endermen seem to glow
enabling smooth shadows doesn't work....it does some weird things with shadows.
Really the only one that bugs me is the red outline so if you can figure that out that would be fantastic.
As a side for others who don't like pitch black caves without light I changed line 35 in composite.fsh to #define MIN_LIGHT 0.01 makes it a little closer to vanilla darkness or even slightly darker.

I take it that you have a AMD video card...? im aware of the red outline of the horizon but didnt know about the other 2 bugs, thanks for letting me know and i will look into them. As for the red line, i have 2 test machines one with a GTX 770 and the other being my laptop with a AMD card in it and on both i havent seen the red line, so it makes it really hard to try and fix BUT i have one idea that im going to try out and i will put up a beta version for people to test out for me.
On a side note im getting closer to release Super Shader V3
things that are new in V3 are
* Richer colours and better contrast
* Dynamic Tone Mapping
* Much better DOF in the DOF version
* New torch colour
* New water from Chocapic13's 4.8 shader
* Specular mapping
Still trying to fix the sunrise and sunset bug and fix bugs that AMD users are getting.
I have finally perfected the torches! ever since i put in my new torch light system the torches have been "dead" during the day time and looking very dark, now they have a very nice glow to them
Super Shader V2
Super Shader V3
Also i would like to ask everyone how much does the sunset/sunrise bug affect you?
Im asking this because Im having a very hard time fixing this bug, the shader is all but done and ready to be released but im still stuck on this bug.
Now i could move to using Chocapic13's 4.8 shader that has the fix BUT that version also has a nasty bug with the sun
Other problem i have with his 4.8 is that some of the features that i have put in arent playing nice with 4.8 and would require more time to get working.
So is the sunset/sunrise bug really bad and would be worth the wait for me to fix OR its not a problem and want Super Shaders V3 asap?
hi, i found this shaders extremely awesome, the only thing is the lava, i have been using sonic ether`s shader and his lava is brighter, buth his shader gives problems in some mods like thaumcraft, i think the brighter lava looks better, so is there a way to change the files to make it like that? or maybe in the next uptate will be brigther?
also the images to compare
Sonic ethers lava
super shaders lava
here an issue in both shaders
i think he made his lava giving brightness to all light emiting blocks, but i think that is what causes some problems in mods, as thaumcraft thaumometer uses light to show the aspects rendering them imposible to see
this same problem hapens in youd sahders but at leastt is bearable cause i can see the simbols and leters in the thaumometer
In the new version of Super Shaders the lava has a little more glow to it but not to the same extent as SEUS
Here is some comparison shots:
Super Shader V2
Super Shader V3
not so much at night, might change before release.

Super Shader V3 should be available in the next week or 2
Ok so i figured out the water isn't so much a bug as it looks like it is caused from the big waves in the water with how the lighting works for the sunrise/sunset. I would like to know how I can disable the big waves as I'm not a big fan of them to start with. I can't seem to locate where it is in the code.
I also just noticed rose bushes don't seem to have a wind animation.
I just realized something while testing BetterFoliage: particles seem to ignore the local light level. BF leaf particles are glowing in the night. I tested it with a few other shaders, some had this problem (Sildur's), some didn't (SEUS).
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
BetterFoliage (1.7.10, 1.8, 1.8.8, 1.8.9, 1.9, 1.9.4, 1.10) - Leafier leaves and grassier grass CartLivery (1.6.4, 1.7.x) - Pimp your minecarts
For modders: simpledeobf - get OptiFine in your dev environment
Second I tried the new beta of the pack and things havn't changed rly for me.
Torches are the same as before for me.
Still have the annoying red border on things at night.
Weird water shadow shows up during sunrise and sunset. It's looks proper any other time though.
hi thanks for the bug report on Beta3, i have fixed the problem with the blocks glowing when held by the endermen and as a nice result their eyes now have a nice glow to them
Please try this new Beta4 version and let me know how you get on i have turned off DOF cause i think that could be causing the red line bug.
ps. this version doesnt have the new torch features, they will be out in Supser Shader V3, this is just to eliminate bugs ready for V3.

hi thanks for pointing that out i have actually fixed that problem in the up coming Super Shader V3

on a side note im a BIG fan of your mod and im really great full that you have brought this to 1.7.2 love the new leaves by the way much better than the Better Grass And Leaves Mod.
hey beta 2 fixed everything if you would still like to know my graphics card for development im using a AMD Radeon 200 series
what version of my shader were you using? BETA1 or BETA2? or does this happen in both? also does this also happen with chocapic13's shaders?

And can't get AO to work in V2 shaders
It happend to me for all of your shaders
Specs:
AMD A4-4020
AMD HD7770
4GB Kingston 1333Mhz Ram
500GB WD Green 7200RPM HDD
Asrock FM2A88M-HD+
400W Power Supply
EDIT: Downloaded the new BETA, works flawlessly!
Another EDIT: I found out a Strange bug that made my hand semi transparent in the sides...
My shader is based on Chocapic13's shaders, have you tried his? if so, is the same bug in his shader as well? cause if not i can isolate it to the changes i have made.
