Might be a nub question, but I can't seem to get the Hero's Bow to work without Battlegear 2 (which conflicts with other mods that I'm using, sadly). Right clicking won't draw the bow no matter what sort of arrows are in my inventory...

What versions of ZSS, BG2 (nm - no BG2), and Forge are you using?
The bow should be able to draw back with at least regular arrows in your inventory / hotbar. Do you have other mods installed that might prevent that?
What level is the Hero's Bow? Without BG2, the Hero's Bow has an item selector that should appear in the top left corner of the screen; use whichever key you have bound to 'Toggle Item Mode' to swap which arrow you want to shoot. Check the manual for more information.
I recently solved the issue by ditching the mods that weren't playing nice and just using BG2 instead... I think I disabled the 'toggle item mode' button though as I had a million and a half overlapping hotkeys. Where would it typically be listed? I don't see it under ZSS, is it up near the BG2 hotkeys instead?
hello, I may have come across a bug in the 1.7.10 version of the zelda sword skills mod. At anytime if I z-target mobs of any kind I get a fatal error that doesn't completely crash the game. It does however crash single player and send me to the multiplayer server select screen. I've made a github issue about this and put the pictures in sequence of how they occurred. Sorry to be a bother about this, I'm a big zelda fan and I'd like to be able to target my enemies before I crash. Thanks for any help!
Can you please post the crash report to either your Github post or this forum? While it might not crash Minecraft, it should still generate a report, and it's also in the log for that session if you can't find it
I have openeye so it should be sending to their servers. I can check to see if it does generate a report
Edit: It didn't appear to generate a crash report. I've redid my steps, refreshed the crash report folder, but I found no crash report. I posted the pictures to my github report, but I can repost them here if that'll help.

I have several different logs, I'll upload the two I think are part of the sessions I played as, though one has the message I got when the bug happened.
Edit: I can't add the log file here. I've looked all over the options while typing this and it doesn't give me an option to add the log file. I'll try and post it to the github which I'll link here.

Well, Optifine doesn't seem to like some of the ZSS textures:

That, however, seems to be the least of your worries. There are so many errors in there from all sorts of different mods that I can only wonder how you can get it to run at all.
EDIT: Actually, I found the network issue - the Little Maid mod does weird stuff with fake player entities and has issues when that fake is expected to behave like a real player by other mods such as ZSS in certain contexts. If you remove the Little Maid mod, you shouldn't experience the particular issue that brought you here.
I've got a quick question regarding the npcs of the mod. I have Minecraft Comes Alive, I don't know if that will affect the npc creating process. I didn't even know that npcs were a thing in the mod! Anyways if the mods don't work together I'll remove MCA. Thanks once again, I'm sorry if I'm a noob when it comes to mod mechanics.
Edit: should've just read the faq more carefully. i've answered this question but i do have another. If i were to donate a bit of money would I be able to use the supporter's blade and shield. i'm not the richest but i'd be glad to donate what i can. Is there a specific donation cap to use the sword and shield, or can i donate anything? like i mention, i'm not the richest and never have been. Thanks again!

The supporter's stuff isn't part of ZSS - I believe that was put in by TheRedMajora for the ZSS Addon that he made. Since he is no longer developing that, I will probably merge most if not all of the items into the main mod as optional content (all of which would be freely available to all - I'm not a huge fan of exclusive content), when I get back to modding, that is.
I would recommend holding off on any donation (as much as I would appreciate it!) until I at least resume development of the mod and, preferably, once you come into unimaginable wealth. If money's tight or even just slightly uncomfortable, don't sweat it - I made this mod for fun and it's been great to see so many people enjoy it over the years, far more than I ever expected.
Once again thanks Alias, it may be too late for the donation (its been sent already :P) but ssi should be fine until I can get my back pay. I've donated to optifine, minecade, and a couple of other places. its worth it to keep people going. I should hopefully be getting $490 a month from social supplemental insurance, so I just need to make sure my checks come in steadily, other than that, I'd prefer to give the money I really don't need to those if it helps keep the mods flowing! I'll keep enjoying the mod for now! See you in another time and place!

minecraft has dual wielding by default, so we wouldnt need the combat mod to dual-wield swords and shields anymore.
heck, it might be neat to dual wield items... like... two hookshots? a fire rod and ice rod?
and then theres items link DOESNT wield... but enemies do. how about: the darknut sword? the sword of the six sages? ganons trident?
maybe we can also see bosses.....
we also need more inventory space to hold all this stuff we carry. I mean, the quiver system is a bit... too.. limiting. maybe there can be a system that allows all arrow types to fit in one quiver. (normal, fire, ice, light, bomb, water bomb, and fire bomb arrows) I kinda like being a marksman.

I've been developing a Configuration GUI for ZSS and designing a GUI that allows players to re-arrange the game overlays, such as the Magic Meter. It's been a bit arduous working to get this done, on top of going to college, but I've almost finished. I'm also going to begin working on another known issue. We don't expect to have 1.9.4 out for quite some time, so I will definitely be working to add TheRedMajora's content, and then we will probably get to upgrading the MC version. With the expected removal of Battlegear, there is going to be a lot to do.
PS: I had made a content suggestion to coolAlias several months ago. On top of adding many new weapons and bosses, there's something I'm hoping we can do to continue the replication of Zelda. No promises, though.
Moving forward for 1.9.4 will see the removal of BG2 in favor of Minecraft's built in right- and left-hand mechanics. I don't anticipate things like dual-wielding right off the bat, just sword and board for now. Without BG2 to provide their nifty quiver, I will be implementing my own that has similar functionality, as well as a seed pouch for the slingshot.
Things such as dual hookshots, bosses, and most other new content will have to wait until I've caught up to the latest version of Minecraft / Forge.
All of the content from TheRedMajora's addon will be added to the main mod but not really integrated into loot or drops, but still available via the creative tab, commands, etc. With the new loot system for 1.9.4+, it should be simple enough for those that wish to add those items to whatever loot pools they want without touching any code.
I'm really hoping to be building a computer come Black Friday / Cyber Monday this year, and if I am able to afford to do so, I hope to resume work on the mod on a part-time basis during the winter. Progress will be slow due to limited time, but there will be progress.

main way is by mining iron ore. I get enough of it.
