I'm curious about something I've noticed. In the mod when you have a ''non-economical'' house that during the day when you're inside the temperature evens out to 75.11F. Why doesn't it work the same when it's night time? Not keep it EXACT obviously, but, if it's quite cold out, it would still maintain a pretty decent temperature. If I create a torch, it'll either or both burn the house down if it's wood, or make it way too hot to be near for warmth. I know in this case clothes are need of course. But I'm curious mostly about why the temperature isn't more bearable at night inside your own home.
Because Enviromine doesn't count if you're inside or outside. It just watches what blocks are around you. Under a roof when you doesn't get direct sunlight you won't burn. But at nighttime it's not enough. It must calculate if you're inside or outside, watching the blocks around you and is there a hole or not. That's not easy.
I had a feeling it was the case of the blocks around you. Very difficult to stay warm, especially in leather clothes from cows. Raining at night in a forest biome seems to drop the temperature to 31F, not sure how realistic THAT is tho.
To be honest, I've never really cared for Enviromine. But I do like the mine shafts it offers, and I also agree on the thirst limitation it offers. I felt that made sense to me, people will get thirsty and one should have to also take care of that, as well.
Unfortunately, when I use this and have it on thirst, it basically prevents me from living in most areas (especially if you're using a mod such as BOP). You can't live near the ocean, you can't live near a swamp or similar. And it's silly that you can't take water from a good area and bring it/contain it to a not so good area, and have clean water that way. The mod wont let you do that, either. Clean water will turn bad or to salt water because you're in one of those regions.
Now I can understand the mechanics of trying to make a computer understand the differences would probably be difficult. But it doesn't change the fact that because of this, you just basically can't live in those areas if your using the thirst from Enviromine. So, I was forced to turn it off again, since I wanted to have a home in the ocean this time. Just a shame....

You take dirty/salty water bottles and add them to a furnace to make clean the water, or put water into a cauldron with fire underneath it to clean the water. it makes it clean. But no, adding in our own separate water fluids, could have broken some things, so the game mechanic is based on biomes for gathering water.

Not that hard. Burn some charcoal. Furnace will burn for a while. And you know if you put something in a furnace you can take it back if you want, so only the fuel will burn away.
If you don't have problem with that, you can also can catch fire. Build your temperature up to 39°C (I don't know how much °F), and you'll be okay for a time.
Another question...is the temperature rate for savanna plateaus correct? I thought I'd escape the heat a bit from the savanna itself by going to the plateaus. There was a nice temp diff of about 10F degrees. But at night it gets down to 7F while during the day it's 86F. Is this realistic?

As far as I know, yes. Plateaus are higher in elevation, so they are quickly affected by day and night much like a desert is.

The first red circle removed the ":" replace with "_". But to be honest you can name that first line what ever you want. it just has to be unique. And the second circle is to remove the meta data. At the time we didn't support meta data like that. so remove that ":1" you can move it into the metaID tag. or leave that as -1 so that it affects all meta data. try that.

First of all, I really like this mod. But there's one thing that annoys me quite a bit. And it's the fact that the mod spawns tree trunks everywhere when insanity strikes. My house was ruined by those. I didn't find anything in the config that disables it (I don't want to disable insanity. just this effect.). Also is this is a real feature or just a bug (I'm playing in a modpack and maybe it doesn't go well with one of the mods.)
It's definitely a bug, most likely a conflict between magic effects.
I found another example of this happening in this video.
As you can see, it's taking effect from Dehydration in the video, so it's absolutely a conflict.
The wiki is now at https://github.com/EnviroMine/EnviroMine-1.7/wiki
Can I set up modded armor like diamond armor? I mean in the modded armor you will feel nice in deserts etc.

Anyone?
Is TimbucTato still active maintaining this? Who is keeping the project actually? By the way, I have to post an important thing on github; I guess I will do it here, correct me if I'm wrong; https://github.com/EnviroMine/EnviroMine-1.7/blob/master/src/main/resources/mcmod.info
According to the website, the mod is not under development anymore, nor is it supported.
Check out my survival series, Galaxy Odyssey. You can download the modpack on the Technic launcher here!
My series also incorporates my mods: Village Names, ChocoCraft Plus, Not Enough Pets, and ASMC.
As far as I know, yes. Plateaus are higher in elevation, so they are quickly affected by day and night much like a desert is.
Everytime I join a world it loads, but then says "Internal Server Shutting Down..." And then it crashes. I'll leave the crash report here:

I would ask another question.. can you or someone take a look on this issue that i've posted a week ago?
https://github.com/EnviroMine/EnviroMine-1.7/issues/209
So how do you even get to the Cave Dimension? The wiki doesn't say anything and there aren't even any YouTube videos showing it.
It's definitely a bug, most likely a conflict between magic effects.
