i really need help on the crafting recipies of most of the blocks, it doesnt say on the wiki the crafting configuration , the images are broken for some reason, ty for reading, pls update the wiki, or someone tell/show me the exact crafting recipies of the new items
I recently discovered this mod and threw it onto my 1.7.10 realism build.
I have to say, you gave me the single most terrifying experience of my Minecraft life to date. New game, managed to get a small base dug out of a Taiga riverside hill, and despite a few mud/sandslides I finally got the structure sound and was feeling pretty good for myself. I decided to spend the rest of the MC day fishing in the river for some dinner.
Then I noticed, high up on the nearby hillside, what looked like a new cave forming as a chunk of the hill started to collapse. Well, that's interesting - I think I'll go up and take a better look at that. I was halfway up, and then the rumbling started and I realized that a lot more of that hill was collapsing. A LOT more. The rumbling got louder.
By the time it was done, there was a giant ravine plunging straight down to a thick lava lake, one wall of the ravine not 15 blocks from my new little riverside base.
Let's just say that I can't accurately express my shocked reaction here without breaking several MCF posting rules, particularly those in regards to profanity. Those physics rules change literally EVERYTHING about how I play this game, starting with my usual preference for underground bases.
There was an earthquake and it caused a mess near my shore. Anyone have any advice on a easy way to clean this up? Building a bridge and using buckets to even it out has been causing a lot of frustration due to how deep the ravine is.

bridges? those are very hard to build in this mod due to block physics for all blocks being implemented, or did you turn off block physics? you can and should disable earthquakes as well if you dont want that happening again!
Is the wiki broken for everyone else? Or is it just me?
same here none of the formulas or MOST of the content on the wiki is missing, such as the recent update of torches being able to burn down wood, I had to figure out all the physics the hard way , through actual testing, since this has only been implemented for like a week or so.
I'm attempting to configure my Enviromine 1.7 build to give placed Jack O'Lanterns a bit of ambient heat. Not much, not nearly as much as the torch alone, but a bit. Having no luck.
I added the following into the enviromine\profiles\default\CustomProperties\minecraft.cfg file, in the blocks section:
Is there any accurate online documentation that explains how the block/tile configuration system works? I've attempted several times now to adjust temperature dynamics on certain blocks (lit pumpkin, glowstone, etc.), and the best I can tell, not a single thing I've plugged into the config files has had the slightest effect. I'm actually starting to wonder if they're being read at all, or if everything is just stuck on the defaults.
I can dissect the mod code - that's my next stop. I'm just hoping that I'm overlooking a simple solution. Thanks!
It's been within the config files (not within the game), on a Forge SMP environment. Yes, complete with restart. So far I've tried adding a heat value to lit pumpkins, and a cooling value (akin to ice) to glowstone. Neither has made any difference, as far as I can tell.
I'm not saying that the code is broken, though it could be. I'm just looking for a basic syntax explanation of how to add new blocks to the enviromine configs, for the sake of altering temperature behavior. With the wiki vanished, I've been unable to find any documentation of any kind.
There's a setting in the config somewhere to generate default configs, that should make just about everything show up in the files so you can edit only instead of just trying to make it up.
I think there's 3 separate types of config settings, and they're set up in blocks, you can only edit the heat in one of those blocks, so pregenerating the configs goes a long way to telling you where and how to set heat values, also, thank you, having glowstone cool you sounds brilliant, and maybe purify air, making it really useful for nether transport, as it is I always overheat and choke to death in the nether.
In Minecraft.cfg

Should be the setting, but I also cannot seem to see an effect on the game. It's either not working, or I really don't understand how the numbers work, or somehow I've got the name wrong. That's a direct copy of ice's settings.
Edit:
I am an idiot, there was a hidden negative there in the ice one, I set it to -20 and it is DEFINITELY working. reloaded configs in game and went from overheating to freezing to death. ice is apparently only -0.2, which I don't see much of an effect for, setting glowstone to -5 seems to work really well though.
At that setting glow stone crystal clusters in the nether tend to decrease your temp to the low end of the green range, seems like a life saver there.
Netherrack has an innate heat of 50, not sure the range, but that gives you an idea of what you need to reach a neutral temp in the nether at least.
Thank you. I really appreciate the help. I'll try it out and let you know.
.. little while later ..
Okay, looks like that was the problem. Syntax correct, but I'd dramatically underestimated how cold the Glow would have to be in order to make a difference in the Nether. I had it set to -0.2, like ice.
Just to test, I changed it to -100.0. Suddenly Glow was a heat-sucking death machine. So I suppose now it's a matter of finding a decent balance.. somewhere between iced tea and death machine, the truth lies.

Bravo, good sir. Bravo.
I can add a camel pack to any vanilla chest plate but not any chest plates from other mods, is there a way for me to do this?

Bridges are easy, just got to treat them a bit like the real world, build arches, or even just supports every few blocks.

Seems like most all of the website is broken. I keep getting 404 error pages. Anyone got a download link for 1.7.10 enviromine?
I think it's because the project was renamed from Enviromine to Enviromine 1.7.
https://github.com/EnviroMine/EnviroMine-1.7 is the new github, though I haven't found the dl link yet.
I'd probably just get it off curse http://mods.curse.com/mc-mods/minecraft/230236-enviromine

Reloaded configs, nothing. Restarted server, nothing. No heat off the Jacks. Could someone please point out to me what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks.
Ask, what would you know?
Unfortunately I accidentally deleted it and I can't remember half the things in it.
Funway,

Are you trying to edit from within the game? if so you need to restart the client or use the reload command in game.
I haven't messed with temp, but I have changed rot, stability, and hydration values and it all works pretty much as expected.

Thanks again.
Yeah, I just left mine at -5, but I definitely did not get the scale right initially, ice is apparently not very good at cooling you off 0.o
Github is a server right? they backup their servers? they might have a copy of the wiki. also a few of the wiki pages are on the wayback machine.
