Watching that Farlands Rollercoaster video literally made me look away and rethink my entire life....
Thanks :^) I got pretty big plans for the next one, namely Oculus Rift support, 1080p, more terrain variety and possibly 3D. However I can't really start working on it until Minema gets updated, and even after that I need to get a faster computer for all these fancy plans.
Hey bruceatsr44, what if you went farther with this? Made it even trippier looking? Thatd be great :3
I'm personally pretty satisfied with the effect, but the real problem is that I don't know much about GLSL. I would never be able to develop these shaders myself. I just figured out how they were structured and updated them.
I'd really like to see what they looked like with realism shaders though. Problem is, my computer can't hardly run Sonic Ether's shaders, and they seemed to be incompatible when I merged them.
Hahaha, this is epic. =D And thumbs-up for World Space, it's WAY better!
One thing though, is there a setting to make it slightly *less* trippy? 'Cause sometimes the far distance gets so stretched and warped up in the sky I can't even tell what it is anymore. :/

If I figure out how to clamp things then I will, but I don't know where to begin with it.
CTMs in CTMs? Dunno what that is. Anyway to be honest I've never really used advanced features like that, I just like my 32x and 64x packs. I turn CTM off most of the time because I don't really like it. Whatever works for you though.

hey, so anytime i turn on the shaders the world disappears and all i can see is blue, the game doesnt crash and i can still interact with blocks/menu any idea how to fix this?
Can you update this to 1.8? The shaders mod just got updated a few days ago.
All I had to do was edit the thread to say it's updated (I tested).

It sounds like something specific about your GPU or setup. I need more information to help you with it.
Hey man. Love the worldspace update. Any way to make the shader as strong as it is in this video?
I've noticed something amiss with the version of the shaders that I ported, and the ones that appear in legacy videos like the one you linked. I'm not sure what it is exactly. The older version not only seems more intense, but the deformations seem to act slightly different. I think they are better than what I have right now, but I don't know how to get there.
I haven't looked much into tracking down an old copy of the shaders, but I doubt I would be able to find it. somebody could, that would be great.
Edit:
Found the original shaders in about 5 minutes. Unfortunately they are virtually the same as the ones I've ported, so whatever the missing secret ingredient is, I can't figure it out.

Do you think you could get rid of the waves/wobbliness in the distance to give it some kind of animal crossing effect where the earth curves in the distance as you walk?
Would it be possible for me to configure this or if someone else knew how to have it just so that the ground curves down away from you? As if the world is wrapped around a small sphere? This idea has always fascinated me and now I see through this shader that it is possible!!
The "animal crossing" effect is a great way of describing it.
If this already exists for version 1.8 a link would be greatly appreciated!

I've had functioning Animal Crossing shaders for a while now, I just haven't gotten around to releasing them. I've partially fixed two different bugs in the shaders, one of them is optional and requires a bit more involvement on the installation side of things.
I'll try and get these things released soon.
Edit:
Spent over an hour just on the thread because the formatting kept getting screwed up (looks fine in the editing view, but doesn't save correctly). That's why I've been sitting on the Animal Crossing Shaders for months, because I didn't want to deal with it.
I also decided to abandon the second bug fix. It was to partially fix the out-of-view chunks error, but it was way to involved for anyone besides a small minority to deal with (and I don't think that many people are conscious of the issue anyway).

Ah, yes, that. I've had problems with that too ever since the forums switched layout last year. Try reporting it to the forum staff.

Can I combine my Jelly World shader with the Acid Trip (World Space) shader? It would really be a crazy result.
And I wonder what would happen if I combine my Bendy Ground shader into it as well? Yikes...
Jelly World (Ver. 5.1) - Bendy Ground (Ver. 1.1) - The Wave (Ver. 1.0)
Go ahead. I don't hardly own these shaders, me linking them behind adfly is questionable. Even if I did, I wouldn't mind you using them.

Hello,
This mod is awesome!!
I second what botboy10 above me asked.

Thank you so much for any help!
