Oh there's one glitch. You can't turn off full bright. it looks like you can but you can't. I like it, but i'm just saying itactually, PLZZZZ don't change iti like not having to press a button to have itKep it the way it is plzz
"Fullbright" hack is a joke
All you have to do is go to options.txt and set gamma=1000 or something
That's all the "hack" does
That's one way to do it...
But it doesn't work good with XRay.
So mine changes the rendering code when XRay/Fullbright is enabled to render the actual blocks brighter.

Your Auto Installer isn't working for me.
When i try to use it after downloading, i get the error message:
java.util.ZipException: invalid entry compressed size (expected 599 but got 597 bytes)
So it doesnt even install and there are no files created in the versions folder
No clue what it means
Ill try using your files and uploading manually in the meantime, but id still appreciate a look into how to fix it please?
I will definitely look into that. Thanks for reporting it

I have reworked the error dialog so there is an option that says "COPY ERROR DETAILS TO CLIPBOARD".
If you could rerun the installer, then when you get the error click that button and paste it in a reply post.
That would help me determine the cause of this error

Took me a moment to figure out i had to do the copying, but that's just me being a bit slow
Heres your error message, i also enjoyed the on the error message sign.
Thanks for posting that - It helped me determine what was causing the error.
Could you download the latest version and make sure it's fixed?

It successfully installs now (you are a genius, no doubt) but the launcher wont launch the game.
In the development console i get this message: (ive deleted my user name for obv reasons)
That's weird. I'm unable to reproduce the bug on my machine, but try this:
1. Go to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\
2. Delete 1.7.2 and 1.7.2-XRay
3. Relaunch Minecraft so it downloads 1.7.2
4. Close Minecraft completely, then try installing XRay.
See if that works.

I know this isn't related to this mod, per se, but I was hoping someone might have a suggestion since it's the mod that I'm trying to use (my first mod I've used in mine craft!)... I've created a new "version" in my versions folder and changed the appropriate file names, and edited the .json file, but when I go into my profile editor, it doesn't show up. I'm on a Mac (10.9) using the newest Minecraft launcher (1.3.4).

Well you could use the auto installer, and see how that sets it up.
It basically just creates a new version (1.7.2-XRay). So you could compare to that.

If you mean you can't turn fullbright off while you have XRay on, that's by design.

ETA on custom block chooser? Is there a way to do it now while waiting for a fancy GUI?
