1.14 isn't out for 24hours & someone is already asking if there's a updated version...
I'm not a programmer but even I know that for ANY updates to mods etc the developers of mods need to see what's changed in the coding of the game to see what needs changing in the mod code to work with it...
..in some cases even if the mod worked on the snapshots; there's no guarantee it'll work on the full release
In MANY cases the mod developers also have to wait for the modloaders (Forge/Rift/Fabric) to get updated first before they can alter their mod code & the developers of Modloaders will have to ALSO look through the game code to see what's changed.
Personally I can't see HOW ANY mods can be updated to the latest version of Minecraft in less than 24hrs... Probably takes at least a week or so
For those who don't know how to use it you could follow my post I did for the last version - just don't do the bits for Optifine & Rift - but here's a cutdown modified copy for just installing the Xray mod
* I assume you've already downloaded latest Xray (63-114) mod & you also know how to create a New Instance in MultiMC
- so go create a new one (I called mine "1.14 Xray")
1) Go to the multiMC instance folder (easiest way I found is highlight it in Multimc & click [Instance Folder] )
- If it doesn't exist create a new folder called 'libraries'
2) Copy into this folder 'XRay-63-114.jar'
3) Go back to MultiMC (The new profile should stilll be highlighted) & click on [Edit Instance]
- Click on 'Version' on the left
You are now going to create an 'Empty' json file
4) Click on [Add Empty]
In the box that pops up enter 'Xray' for Name & 'Xray' for UID followed by [OK]
5) Highlight the 'Xray' title & press [Edit] - the json file will open up in your default TXT editor (I use Notepad ++)
6) Delete whatever is already in the file & Copy/Paste the text in the first spoiler above - save it
7) Run the instance & - if everything went well - you now have an instance that has Xray all running together
FYI - Xray does not seem to like an MultiMC instance that has 'Fabric' installed (well ... not on my setup anyway)
.. the game will load up but freezes @ ~17% when loading in a single player world (maybe due to old world has Fabric mods alterations) & when creating a new world Xray Works but no Fabric mods
Ehhh a bit off-topic but there was actually a full modpack with around 30 mods for 1.14 just a few hours after the release.
True - definately off topic however the mods were probably also out for the 1.14 snapshots so probably only needed slight adjustments between snapshots & full release... I know I didn't make myself clear in my OP but IMHO If a Mod was being updated from 1.13 to 1.14 THEN it could take about a week due to code changes

Just try MultiMC, already follow the installation step but got this error
Instance update failed because: Some artifacts marked as 'local' are missing their files:
- I create folder libraries in my instances/1.14 X-Ray and drop XRay-63-114.jar in that folder. Nothing wrong with location and name/uid.
Did I miss something?
Hmm weird...
followed my instructions above & it worked fine... no error messages
The ONLY problem I had was I missed out 1 step/note that was in the original post ( it went just before the 'I assume you've already downloaded....") , but it's no real biggy...
[ Note: Not sure if it matters but after each step I ran the instance to make sure it still worked ]
This only meant you had to run it once (to download the vanilla code first), close it down & re-run to get the Xray installed
Comparing your path to mine & I can't really see much difference (in my retest I called it 'Retest 1.14 Xray' as I already had a '1.14 Xray' instance) except you seem to have a 'game_online' folder while I called mine 'Minecraft' & the 'slashes' are a different way round & you have it on your 'F' drive while I'm on my 'D' drive
Yup, at first I forget to download the vanilla game, so I go back and download it while disable xray mod. Which result in Vanilla mode is working fine and I can roll around in the game. But after I try to add xray json later, it just fail. I also try create another instance and launch it first to get the code before add json, but still have the same error when xray is run.
I try to check the folder name, file name, location but nothing feel out of place at all (even using copy instead of typing myself) It's fresh new MultiMC too so I don't know if it missing something/config to be use together.
The slash is only mean in log as I highlight the location in explorer it's show the same \ as your too ' w '.

We're going a bit off topic here... after all this is the Xray thread & not MultiMC... however I can see one difference between your MultiMC & mine but is it this that's causing the problem ?
I can see in your screenshot that you are using MultiMC "0.6.5-1302", however I'm using the development version of "0.6.5_develop_1308" which - according to the developers - has "extra fixes and features incuded, but may not be stable yet", but WHAT differences these 2 versions have I don't know
I also notice I'm still using an old JAVA version (v171) while you're using v211 (although how THAT would cause a 'missing file' problem I also don't know). I wouldn't suggest downgrading JAVA though...I'll upgrade my version when I get the chance & see if anything changes in my setup
EDIT: This is totally off-topic but I found a similar problem someone posted when attempting to install Optifine and Multimc.. one suggestion was "Try to raise the amount of memory given to MC to 2GB." & somehow this fix his problem.

Yours: F:/Game/game_online/MultiMC/instances/1.14 X-Ray/libraries/XRay-63-114.jar
I can only get the message like yours IF I remove the 'Xray-64-114.jar' from the libraries folder & try & run it....I end up with
Which is almost identical to yours.

I try with dev version too, no luck _oTL
I guess it something to do with my end now.
is there an updated version that works on 1.14.1 pre 1 thank you!
I'm guessing someone is really desperate to cheat ;P
yes!I like flying in the game. it's a good mod
Can't you use Creative mode for that?

when i start the mod it says

I can't use Xray and fabric at the same time.
Currently you can't - they seem to not be compatible with each other
.... See post #4438 above who Dats_Me has mentioned this
I'm not a programmer but I suspect each uses it's own type of tweaking loader & the code they each use conflict with each other
My hero thanks!
I dont care if I am necro:ing, I just want to say i love you for this.
