I need more context for this error as I can't replicate it.
Update! It's been a while since there has been any word on progress of the mod so I wanted to get something out regarding this.
So currently, the new version of the mod (TragicMC 3 for 1.10.2) is still being worked on but progress is really slow since I keep adding new stuff to it (and I'm still only working on this by myself) as well as dealing with plenty of personal things happening. The new plan is instead to work on cutting incomplete content, finishing what I can and instead releasing the mod with similar content to TragicMC 2, then later adding the newer content in larger updates as it gets finished.
As for release versions, 1.12.2 is currently the main version of Minecraft (and Forge) with 1.13 and the Aquatic update soon to follow. So the current plan is to release on 1.10.2 (since this has been the version that it was built on), ensure of stability then port forward to whatever the newest version is on release (likely 1.13), releasing new content only for this new port. This port will take some time as the internal workings of Forge have changed quite a bit (as well as the internal workings of Minecraft itself). This can change though depending on whether people want to continue using it on 1.10.2 after release or if they want it on a newer version.
As for content, TragicMC 3 has a large overhaul to the core magic, weapon and item crafting systems of TragicMC 2 (as previewed in the Alpha snapshot from last year), however, it re-uses similar content from TragicMC 2 (mobs, some weapons, dimensions, lore) and as such, I've been working on new content with this release to make it feel like it's not just a rehash of that content.
The original idea was to release the mod fully when all the content was done but due to how long it is taking, I may start doing Beta releases periodically to get feedback (and help in finding bugs).
TL;DR: The mod is still being worked on with some periodic Beta releases likely to start soon™.
Beta releases eh? Currently I'm involved in planning mods and bringing in modders to a brand new Forgecraft-styled testing server. It'll be in 1.12.2 for now, but like Forgecraft it will probably evolve in versions and content over time. If you join us then you may even meet up with some modders I know that could help you upkeep and evolve TragicMC3. Shinoow, Lycanite, and Enderman_of_D00M (Titans mod creator) will be onboard. Note that while Enderman is trying to get a better computer he may wind up being typed and heard but not seen for a while.

TragicMC 3 - v0.35.3405 (Beta)
Changes from first Alpha snapshot:
-Doomsdays were changed into Divine Abilities, this is just a thematic name change
-Boss and Mob AI were further polished
-All mobs, boss fights and progression are available in this release
-Some mobs, items and blocks were renamed
-The HUD was overhauled, new look and more information shown to the player, also added a quick health display for what you're attacking (will be toggleable in the future)
-Influences were converted to a Simple/Complex Influence system, items use the Simple system but players use the Complex system
-Weapons, armor and shields from the mod can now have Traits, which slightly modify attributes of it (Prefixes)
-Perks were changed to be singular in their use, having multiple of the same Perk will still only have one instance active, they also display on the HUD now
-Added Mythical items, which must be evolved to activate their intrinsic abilities, these only drop from "endgame" sources
-Added Feats, which can be dropped from Challenge versions of the instanced bosses, these are Perks that can be applied to any weapon, armor and shield from the mod
-Added more descriptions to things to describe their abilities, perks, uses or sources, descriptions only show when enhanced tooltips are enabled (F3 + H)
Notes regarding the Beta nature of this release:
-Some entities do not have textures, however, all entities should have models and animations
-Some spawn eggs don't have proper colors as their respective mob doesn't have a texture yet
-Mobs do not have their own sounds yet (except for the Fusea)
-The editable configuration file is still incomplete, more options will be added in by full release
-Achievements are not implemented yet aside from the Thank You one, this normally would give you your progression path through the mod so instead some progression tips are provided in this changelog
-Some mobs do not have complete render or particle effects yet
-The Overlord's final form is still a work in progress, as such the timings and mechanics are a bit rough
-Aegis Structure might generate slowly depending on PC specs, best to look straight down during generation if yours is struggling
Progression tips:
-Merokite Core is how you start making evolutionary weapons, Merokite can be found at lower Y levels, the Core requires either a block of gold or a block of obsidian to craft
-Torvium can be smelted and combined with coal to create Durium, Durium itself can be found at lower Y levels
-Durium is meant to be an alternative to Iron early on, however, only for armor and a few other utilities, since Achromy and Influence interactions require an Anvil, it should be used as much as possible while Iron is saved up for that use
-Obsidian is the next tier that allows Durium to be turned into Vulcia, Vulcia is meant to be a replacement for Diamond armor, as Diamonds are used in Catalysts for evolutionary weapons as well as for tools and other vanilla things
-Merokite can be used to create Charisma, which store Influences to affect other items, Merokite Shards can be used to create Remnants and will be your main source of these early on
-The anvil is very important for Evolving weapons, hints of a weapon's evolutionary path are always shown when hovering over the weapon in the anvil GUI
-Remnants power up weapons and increase their attack damage, for armor they gain helpful enchantments, weapons require a certain Achromy amount to be evolved, which makes them stronger and gain enchantments
-The Achromaporter is your first major goal, this lets you enter the Collision, the mod's first hub dimension, it's creation requires certain boss drops from vanilla as well as a few roaming boss drops added by the mod
-In the Collision, Time Fissures will be your source of progression, using items Influenced with Complex Influences will allow you to summon an Instanced Boss, whose drops you require to craft an Aeria
-The Aeria will be used on another Fissure to transform it into an Anomaly, allowing you to teleport to the Aegis dimension
-Defeating the Aegis at the end will spawn an anomaly back, you then use its drop to craft a Corruption Vacuum
-Corruption Vacuums can create Solidified Corruption by taking Plague's energy, this material is required to upgrade the Achromaporter to enter the Synapse
Planned changes:
Due to my own playtests, a few changes are already being planned but I wanted to get this release out anyway for further feedback
-Yelnor, Mortyr and Echo will have an item pertaining to each one that can be crafted to summon them immediately, this works like the Summon Scrolls from the original mod
* While them being Roaming Bosses is a cool thing, having to wait for RNG to get them to spawn in, being able to find them before the despawn and killing them while likely having lots of other mobs around them is a pain in addition to already dealing with some RNG for spawning the two Vanilla bosses
-Vulcia armor set will become an armor set and allow Achromy infusion, being the easiest armor set you can get in the early game
* Although it's gone through multiple iterations of the crafting flow from Torvium to Vulcia, it's to the point where that entire crafting tree loses interest as soon as diamond is acquired, giving it an ability really pulls you to craft it as soon as possible to have a solid armor set for the Vanilla boss fights if you don't want to slodge through crafting the Amalgium set
-Vanilla mobs will have some mod drops added to them
* These will have to be configurable as usual but allowing you to gather some later game materials in the early game is never a bad thing, especially when they come from unexpected sources
Holy overhaul Batman! It's going to take a while for me to digest this one! Something tells me after things settle down there will be a new wiki. I actually like the theme of Doomsdays before and thought on them as using the "Doom Field" idea from Futurama to create magical effects. By dooming the negative you make a positive and vice versa. I guess you could say that by meddling with a basic aspect of the universe that you're basically recreating divine magic. A lot of the other stuff I can see as seriously rehashed progression. Interesting how a suggestion about using Anvils more turned into the focal point of the next generation's progression system.

Not currently but I usually post anything mod related on this forum anyway. I might start posting stuff related to it on my Twitter as well though but that has a lot of my Twitch stuff.
We tried using just thermos and only TragicMC in the pack. It still crashes. So it is not another possible mod that could be conflicting.
From my testing, Thermos is incompatible with the Collision due to how long it takes the mod to do WorldGen in chunks in that Dimension. Thermos automatically times out if a chunk takes over 10 seconds to load which is too short for some of the multiple layers of WorldGen that the Collision has. This would take a rewrite of a lot of this old code and is a huge undertaking for such an old version. Disabling WorldGen in the config helps with this but it still takes too long for certain WorldGen layers (mostly related to trees) so this is unfixable without some sort of major WorldGen rewrite/optimization.
This is on a very outdated version of the mod for that Minecraft version. If it continues crashing, you should uninstall it and wait for a finished release.

Update! It's been a while since there has been any word on progress of the mod so I wanted to get something out regarding this.
So currently, the new version of the mod (TragicMC 3 for 1.10.2) is still being worked on but progress is really slow since I keep adding new stuff to it (and I'm still only working on this by myself) as well as dealing with plenty of personal things happening. The new plan is instead to work on cutting incomplete content, finishing what I can and instead releasing the mod with similar content to TragicMC 2, then later adding the newer content in larger updates as it gets finished.
As for release versions, 1.12.2 is currently the main version of Minecraft (and Forge) with 1.13 and the Aquatic update soon to follow. So the current plan is to release on 1.10.2 (since this has been the version that it was built on), ensure of stability then port forward to whatever the newest version is on release (likely 1.13), releasing new content only for this new port. This port will take some time as the internal workings of Forge have changed quite a bit (as well as the internal workings of Minecraft itself). This can change though depending on whether people want to continue using it on 1.10.2 after release or if they want it on a newer version.
As for content, TragicMC 3 has a large overhaul to the core magic, weapon and item crafting systems of TragicMC 2 (as previewed in the Alpha snapshot from last year), however, it re-uses similar content from TragicMC 2 (mobs, some weapons, dimensions, lore) and as such, I've been working on new content with this release to make it feel like it's not just a rehash of that content.
The original idea was to release the mod fully when all the content was done but due to how long it is taking, I may start doing Beta releases periodically to get feedback (and help in finding bugs).
TL;DR: The mod is still being worked on with some periodic Beta releases likely to start soon™.
Beta releases eh? Currently I'm involved in planning mods and bringing in modders to a brand new Forgecraft-styled testing server. It'll be in 1.12.2 for now, but like Forgecraft it will probably evolve in versions and content over time. If you join us then you may even meet up with some modders I know that could help you upkeep and evolve TragicMC3. Shinoow, Lycanite, and Enderman_of_D00M (Titans mod creator) will be onboard. Note that while Enderman is trying to get a better computer he may wind up being typed and heard but not seen for a while.

Changes from first Alpha snapshot:
-Doomsdays were changed into Divine Abilities, this is just a thematic name change
-Boss and Mob AI were further polished
-All mobs, boss fights and progression are available in this release
-Some mobs, items and blocks were renamed
-The HUD was overhauled, new look and more information shown to the player, also added a quick health display for what you're attacking (will be toggleable in the future)
-Influences were converted to a Simple/Complex Influence system, items use the Simple system but players use the Complex system
-Weapons, armor and shields from the mod can now have Traits, which slightly modify attributes of it (Prefixes)
-Perks were changed to be singular in their use, having multiple of the same Perk will still only have one instance active, they also display on the HUD now
-Added Mythical items, which must be evolved to activate their intrinsic abilities, these only drop from "endgame" sources
-Added Feats, which can be dropped from Challenge versions of the instanced bosses, these are Perks that can be applied to any weapon, armor and shield from the mod
-Added more descriptions to things to describe their abilities, perks, uses or sources, descriptions only show when enhanced tooltips are enabled (F3 + H)
Notes regarding the Beta nature of this release:
-Some entities do not have textures, however, all entities should have models and animations
-Some spawn eggs don't have proper colors as their respective mob doesn't have a texture yet
-Mobs do not have their own sounds yet (except for the Fusea)
-The editable configuration file is still incomplete, more options will be added in by full release
-Achievements are not implemented yet aside from the Thank You one, this normally would give you your progression path through the mod so instead some progression tips are provided in this changelog
-Some mobs do not have complete render or particle effects yet
-The Overlord's final form is still a work in progress, as such the timings and mechanics are a bit rough
-Aegis Structure might generate slowly depending on PC specs, best to look straight down during generation if yours is struggling
Progression tips:
-Merokite Core is how you start making evolutionary weapons, Merokite can be found at lower Y levels, the Core requires either a block of gold or a block of obsidian to craft
-Torvium can be smelted and combined with coal to create Durium, Durium itself can be found at lower Y levels
-Durium is meant to be an alternative to Iron early on, however, only for armor and a few other utilities, since Achromy and Influence interactions require an Anvil, it should be used as much as possible while Iron is saved up for that use
-Obsidian is the next tier that allows Durium to be turned into Vulcia, Vulcia is meant to be a replacement for Diamond armor, as Diamonds are used in Catalysts for evolutionary weapons as well as for tools and other vanilla things
-Merokite can be used to create Charisma, which store Influences to affect other items, Merokite Shards can be used to create Remnants and will be your main source of these early on
-The anvil is very important for Evolving weapons, hints of a weapon's evolutionary path are always shown when hovering over the weapon in the anvil GUI
-Remnants power up weapons and increase their attack damage, for armor they gain helpful enchantments, weapons require a certain Achromy amount to be evolved, which makes them stronger and gain enchantments
-The Achromaporter is your first major goal, this lets you enter the Collision, the mod's first hub dimension, it's creation requires certain boss drops from vanilla as well as a few roaming boss drops added by the mod
-In the Collision, Time Fissures will be your source of progression, using items Influenced with Complex Influences will allow you to summon an Instanced Boss, whose drops you require to craft an Aeria
-The Aeria will be used on another Fissure to transform it into an Anomaly, allowing you to teleport to the Aegis dimension
-Defeating the Aegis at the end will spawn an anomaly back, you then use its drop to craft a Corruption Vacuum
-Corruption Vacuums can create Solidified Corruption by taking Plague's energy, this material is required to upgrade the Achromaporter to enter the Synapse
Planned changes:
Due to my own playtests, a few changes are already being planned but I wanted to get this release out anyway for further feedback
-Yelnor, Mortyr and Echo will have an item pertaining to each one that can be crafted to summon them immediately, this works like the Summon Scrolls from the original mod
* While them being Roaming Bosses is a cool thing, having to wait for RNG to get them to spawn in, being able to find them before the despawn and killing them while likely having lots of other mobs around them is a pain in addition to already dealing with some RNG for spawning the two Vanilla bosses
-Vulcia armor set will become an armor set and allow Achromy infusion, being the easiest armor set you can get in the early game
* Although it's gone through multiple iterations of the crafting flow from Torvium to Vulcia, it's to the point where that entire crafting tree loses interest as soon as diamond is acquired, giving it an ability really pulls you to craft it as soon as possible to have a solid armor set for the Vanilla boss fights if you don't want to slodge through crafting the Amalgium set
-Vanilla mobs will have some mod drops added to them
* These will have to be configurable as usual but allowing you to gather some later game materials in the early game is never a bad thing, especially when they come from unexpected sources

Holy overhaul Batman! It's going to take a while for me to digest this one! Something tells me after things settle down there will be a new wiki. I actually like the theme of Doomsdays before and thought on them as using the "Doom Field" idea from Futurama to create magical effects. By dooming the negative you make a positive and vice versa. I guess you could say that by meddling with a basic aspect of the universe that you're basically recreating divine magic. A lot of the other stuff I can see as seriously rehashed progression. Interesting how a suggestion about using Anvils more turned into the focal point of the next generation's progression system.

We tried using just thermos and only TragicMC in the pack. It still crashes. So it is not another possible mod that could be conflicting.
From my testing, Thermos is incompatible with the Collision due to how long it takes the mod to do WorldGen in chunks in that Dimension. Thermos automatically times out if a chunk takes over 10 seconds to load which is too short for some of the multiple layers of WorldGen that the Collision has. This would take a rewrite of a lot of this old code and is a huge undertaking for such an old version. Disabling WorldGen in the config helps with this but it still takes too long for certain WorldGen layers (mostly related to trees) so this is unfixable without some sort of major WorldGen rewrite/optimization.
Okay that sucks, I am just going to have to disable this mod on the server. :C
Still prepping a new 1.10.2. release, mostly has Achromy infusion tuning along with various fixes.
