I absolutely love using this mod in my YouTube series! It's a great way around and mark things of interest, and it fits in perfectly with the Legend of Zelda theme of everything else!
With Zelda Sword Skills+, I can mark dungeons, temples, fairy spawners, villages, and secret rooms easy and find my way back!
If you want to, check out one of my latest episodes:

Wow, this map is awsome.
I found it from TerraFiramPunk pack and now I think its a mod I will add to every pack insted of minimaps, that are a bit too op.
There is one thing though. Could you make the map render in world like vanilla maps do, I mean when you hold the item.Zoom level could be taken from current zoom level in gui (the right click one) and map centered on player all the time. This way it would work perfectly as a non op equivelent to all the minimaps that are currently used.
Love the mod, and what little use I got out of it was amazing.
I encountered a few issues, and despite my moderately high mod count, and I think I've narrowed it down to this mod specifically. When I first created the atlas and activated it, it seemed to work just fine. But then as I set out to fill the thing the chunks seemed to have (I thought) stopped loading, leaving me on essentially an island of loaded chunks surrounded by absolutely nothing. Like, look over the edge of the world nothing.
Turns out instead of not loading, the game processes had just slowed to a crawl. I could walk around, but I couldn't open chests etc. Only happened after creating the atlas. Removed the mod and everything worked fine again. Played a bit, figured I'd give it another shot. Replaced the mod, made another atlas, activated a chest a couple times to see if the same thing happened. Delay was there, but not nearly what it was (two or three second delay compared to over 5 minutes). Opened the atlas and didn't see any issues... Then the game crashed.
Honestly not sure where the conflict is. Crash report listed below.

Thank you very much for sharing this, CJBrackenwall.
It doesn't seem like the crash had anything to do with the Atlas directly, but I'll definitely look into the loading issue. Personally, I've encountered a similar problem while recording my gameplay with Fraps, otherwise the mod has worked fine.

Thank you very much. I do really like the mod and would love to have it working as intended. Never expected you'd respond so quickly, either.
If you say the crash isn't related to Atlas, I'll take your word on that and look into my other mods. I feel I should note that I opened the atlas twice in quick succession when the crash occurred. Not sure why I didn't mention that before or if it'll even make a difference.
So, will there be any problems? Using the latest ZSS version. (2.2.5c)

Check out my adventure modpack! 25+ carefully selected mods (Not counting Core Mods) and great for if you don't have that beefy of a computer. Plus it has over 2K downloads and counting so y'know it's good. Oh, and fully multiplayer compatible!
There's also the resource intensive version (if you can handle it) for a bigger experience!
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
I guess I'll try that, when I have time. (I'll test it like a lot, making multiple ones, rapidly opening them, checking if ZSS dungeons show. etc.)

Any chance of getting support for Thaumcraft biomes? Right now, Magical Forest looks like a normal forest, Tainted Land looks like a desert, and Eerie biomes don't even show up I think.
Also perhaps the ability to add additional/custom marker icons?

Probably not until someone decides make a custom texture pack for Thaumcraft.
As for custom markers, do you mean that you would like to have an interface to pick an image file to use as a marker? As of yet, there is a way to do that by placing the file and modifying the config manually (or from another mod via API)

Oh, in that case, my search for a map mod will continue...I find minimaps to make default maps useless, so that's not an option.
Oh, I meant to see if it would show dungeons and such with latest ZSS, although that would be nice.

I can't seem to reproduce your issue. It does sound like a bug that was present before version 4.2, so could you verify that your Antique Atlas is at least up to v4.2?EDIT: There it goes again...

I have a question that's probably been addressed but I couldn't find. If multiple clones are made of one central atlas, will ALL clones share updates? You don't need to recombine them to have all the contents of the central one, right?
ArtOfCombat, yes, this is how it is supposed to work. Please report if it doesn't.

Yes, I am planning to fix it for 1.7 when I find the time. This is now a confirmed bug.

I made Moses Mod, Dota 2 Items Mod, Rings of Power and Antique Atlas.
I'm wondering if this pack will have any problems/incompatibilities when added into my modpack.

Best bet: Toss it in, try it out.

I made Moses Mod, Dota 2 Items Mod, Rings of Power and Antique Atlas.
Oh, in that case, my search for a map mod will continue...I find minimaps to make default maps useless, so that's not an option.
Oh, I meant to see if it would show dungeons and such with latest ZSS, although that would be nice.

Atlas should show dungeons with the latest ZSS.
