You put vinteum dust into an obelisk (like a furnace with coal) and then connect them with the magic wrench thing. Then you should be able to flip the switch like old versions.
"Them" being the obelisk and the crafting altar block on top of the crafting altar. Just like in the 1.6.4 version.
Or buckets of liquid etherium. I'm just getting started again with the mod, and wondering, do any types of pipe work with obelisks. I'm gathering up a lot more buckets of liquid than i find of vintium dust.
I took an extra utilities canister to my mining world and came back with over 100 buckets worth of etherium but found no way to pipe it in so that is indeed a very good question
Makes sense. Think of a system that feeds in items (full buckets) and removes buckets. So maybe a filtered hopper or pipe taking out only empty buckets. And a chest full of full buckets feeding in. Then find a way to fill buckets from a tank to feed to chest....or be lazy and fill up buckets, toss in chest
o....k...it's filled with Vintium dust and has a total of 5000 essence in it. do i need multiple obelisks for something that needs 26000 essence?
Just flip the lever. The crafting altar will continue to draw Etherium as needed for the spell. It can only hold so much at once. Also you'll probably be flipping the lever more than once, as the Etherium cost is the total of all the amounts of Etherium required by separate spell components.
Also if it runs out, the lever will stay flipped until it gets all the Etherium it needs.
Just use dust, if you set up a calefactor with mana focuses connected to a celestial aurum you can burn wood from a tree farm into charcoal , throw the charcoal away (or use it, up to you!) and keep the dust (using a simple hopper setup). In fact, tests have shown that I can burn the charcoal using power from the obelisk and still get ahead in dust, although not if your tree farm draws essence power itself. You could probably also use a potato farm, or a meat farm. I use a redstone circuit to disable the calefactor hopper feed when the dust chest is full.
Ok, that gave me lots of ideas. I can try to set up a forestry farm and see how that works. Its the only automated farm i have access to. But a tinkers lumber axe, redwood trees, and many forestry backpacks might also just let me fill up enough barrels to forego the farm for now.
It's possible, I think Mithion was considering redesigning them, which may have been dropped in the effort to iron out all the bugs without over complicating it.
Hello , would an individual actually obtain the armour XP infusion functioning, simply wondering, would really like to know if it'll be implemented in the final update, Thanks!!

It's broken in .006, but fixed in dev, and will be in the final release.
Being a fan of the Gulliver mod I was excited to see the shrink spell in the Occulus, however when I use it my avatar does not actually shrink. The buff works, in the sense that I can walk through 1 block spaces and fall slowly. I guess I was just curious to know if this is a bug or a WIP.
I posted this a few days ago but never got a reply. Was hoping someone could clarify things for me. Thanks.
You could use a flicker system in ars magica, but there is only one slot for attaching input/output devices if you want a chalk circle around it...directly underneath. I use a flicker system to put dust in, but the way the obelisk burns dust stacks (and presumably buckets) is incredibly wasteful if you have any constant draw on there at all, so I use celestial aurum for all constant draws, otherwise I would need some complex redstone to refill the dust only when a battery goes below a certain level.
not sure how you would do anything similar with buckets, you couldn't flicker or hopper them in/out without forgoing the circle upgrade. You could use a thaumcraft golem I guess, or extrautils retrival nodes.

This helped a ton. I started off with the 50 or so buckets i had saved up in a tank, and used a filtering hopper from gany's nether to only pull out empty buckets. This got a good amount of dust. Going to rework things tomorrow so dust is sucket out and set back to the obelisk as needed with extra utilities pips/nodes. Then i'll set up some Igneous extruders to feed in cobble. Need much stone for building.
Out of curiosity, is there a config to change the rate of experience? I've noticed in the newer version EXP is given at an extremely slower rate compared to older version, and I was curious as to if there is a way to alter it in the config.

If I'm rude to you, just tell me. Don't take it too personally. Well, unless you were being stupid. If you were, DO take it personally.

you didnt mention how to do so :/
Just make a warding candle, the Compendium should then give you the info required for rituals.

Don't worry, you'll get it soon enough.
