Hey, anyone know why I can't link my nexus with my mana battery?
When right-clicking the nexus with the crystal wrench, no beam of light comes up, I've tried all possible clicks, sneak click, left-click... nothing!
Even though the beam of light didn't came up, I went and right clicked the battery but didn't work -.-'
The nexus works and has charges, but linking it is just not happening...
I was using 1.1.1c, tried to upgrade to 1.1.2, still not working!
Hi Mithion, I've been playing with the mod for a while. I find the mod impressive, but I miss the Magic Fabricator and the Blue Nexus being able to burn items of one kind into items of another (I've been playing a Skyblock, and I had to give myself access to mystcraft's ages to get some resources, sadly ^^).
Anyway, in all my time digging around (99% of the spells I use are "ranged + Dig", "Ranged + Light" and "Ranged + AOE + Dig"), I thought about a possibility quite interesting to make things a little more quick when changing spells: the option to add a spell a Casting Level that will be set wehn you select that spell.
For example:
I have 2 spells (ranged dig and ranged light). When I select Ranged Dig, I use it most of the time in reduced spellcasting, but when I use Ranged Light I want to use at least normal spellcast (and I prefer Augmented when avaiable). So the idea is to be able to add a "default casting level" to spells if we want to (kinda like a blue talent unlockable after unlocking Augmented Casting). That way, when I load th elight spell I automatically go to Augmented, while changing to dig turns my casting level to the economic version.
Don't have more info but it's causes a 1 hour rollback and seems to be magic related and used by one of our only heavy AM2 users.

Also is this normal? I never used AM2 but he seems to be causing so many zombie spawns and keeps reporting it as an issue. Is there a chance he screwed up and caused like some kind negative effect something that is suppose to happen?
That issue is unable to be reproduced using simply Minecraft Forge, and therefore I might posit that it is related to Bukkit. As a workaround, I would add the skull block ID to AM2's dig blacklist config so that it won't affect that block anymore (as casting dig on a skull is what is causing the issue).

I keep seeing posts on reddit where people are talking about spell recipes and they'll say:

Also, at what level do I start to earn green points? 25?

Batteries require a redstone signal to draw power from nexi.

You may have to break and re-create the nexus circle.

There is a damage modifier, deep at the bottom of the offense tree, and the compendium mentions under the obtaining skill points section in guides when you first earn skill points for each type. For green it is between the levels of 22 and 40.

im thinking you will get green ones at lvl 20 or 21 not sure maybe 22 and there is dmg component in offensive tree its like hardest thing to get in that tree you will need least few red points for that one
mithion buffed greatly water guradien and you ight not be able to beat him before lv 25 i am playing ars magica from when it came out and i couldnt be able to beat him on lvl 16 its not posible unless you are useing some other mod and swords arent realy effective on any of the guardians like earth espc i dealt him like 1-2 dmg with sword that should deal 12
Use a TE3 RF infused sword, or Tic rapier, both surpass much if not all of the earth guardians armor.

Try changing the magic resistance enchantment to a different number and see if it works.
what if depending on which class you are changes the colour of the mage clothes like say if I was lightning my mage clothes would be yellow! and if I was fire it would be red and well you get the point

Speaking of staged compendium can you please configure it so that crafting an item automatically unlocks it's entry. this would be usefull for people who use am2 often and have memorized some of the recipies

i don't play around with mods too often, as I'm more of a gamer than a programmer and I've messed up my Minecraft in the past (I never did get that airplane mode working...sigh).

When I do manage to get mods working...I am amazed at how it transforms Minecraft.
Minecraft, for me, is the infinite possibilities game that I think I'll play forever.

The first boss is unlocked by getting to a specific magic level. I think it's 19 or something, don't really remember.
I have never noticed not getting skill points ever.
