For removing taint, I use either the excavation focus or equal trade. For killing taint seeds, well, placing a crossbow nearby didn't work. It disappeared at some point, either killed or bugged out. Same thing happened to the second one I placed there. I suspect a flying golem with dart launcher hands would suffer the same fate, but I haven't tried.
I also have Astral Sorcery and am using a Discidia ritual to kill taintseeds now. That works for me, at least...
Something else: Is there something like MineTweaker to add aspects to things?
CraftTweaker exists, but doesn't seem to have support for Thaumcraft. ModTweaker MAYBE supports it, but I only find hints of that, and no real documentation.

Were you successful in adding aspects to items? I'm trying to add aspects to Forestry items using the code from that link but I get an error from modtweaker saying that "Aspects" does not exist.

B15 has some game breaking bugs like salis mundas crashing the game when you use it. Also the crafting of thaumatorium. B14 doesn't seem to have these issues.
-also using a thaumometer seems to cause a crash as well.

If he means holding the thaumometer crashing the game, that happens in overworld as well, least it did in the creative test-world i crated to check out the new stuff.
when entering the nether crash after a while, I use other mod like biomes or plenty and play on my server.
The server does not suffer the crash, only the client side.
Testing in singleplayer the same thing happens, I enter the nether and after a while, it is not at the moment.
Removing the thaumcraft mod does not happen this problem.
Maybe it's because of the Aura in the nether, or a conflict with the O plenty.

I don't use many mods, it might be a conflict issue between Levels 2 or Tinker's, but I can't even load my single player world without the game crashing with beta 15. u__u¿

Do you have Nitor placed in your world? I had the same problem and fixed it by reverting to beta 14, deleting the nitor i'd placed and then going back to 15. Cloud Stepper Ring also causing the same or similar crash btw.

So, I got my first taint outbreak in 1.12. Small outbreak that satisfied the flux research objective, right by my essentia smelter.
Notes:
1. I need to build up a really nasty bow for killing taint seeds from a survivable distance.
2. Dang, tainted soil is hard to break. Harder than obsidian.
3. Perhaps there should be a separate tainted sand block...?

I'm pretty sure that beta 15 is a fix of 14, but expect a 16 soon.
